Getting some last minute internet time in before the potentially inevitable loss of power! Glad to hear of the guys getting through this okay! We're another 4-6 hours from being done but no major damage yet. Paul, Tim and I may be far enough inland to avoid much damage. Thanks for the feed, Don! Glad to see you made it through!

Hey Guys. I am not sure if this is the spot to join but I am going to give it a try. My name is Frank and I am finally getting around to doing this. Sitting here with Irene blowing her way past at 50 MPH. Anyway, I will give you some background on myself. 1st trip to the world was 1973 with my parents. Since then I have been there app. 10 times. Family consists of my wife Sue, 5 children and 4 Grandchildren. My wife and I are DVC members and we usually stay at the Boardwalk ( Home ). We are very excited for the coming year because we are going in December with my BIL and SIL and then in June 2012 we are taking all 13 family members. Looking forward to a MAGICAL year. Think I'm going to head outside to mow the yard and play with a backhoe. I've got a stump that I don't want to mow around anymore. That and I just like playing with the backhoe and tearing stuff up.

As for our property... initial evaluation shows we have zero damage. Just a bunch of leaves and branches in the yard. Thank you God!

Hello all, got back from WDW last night. We managed to stay ahead of Irene coming up the coast. Hope all of you who are in her path are doing ok.

I'll have a trip report started soon with lots of pictures.

Hey guys,

Looks like we made it through the storm ok here. Only got a couple of hours' sleep last night, and the power went out this morning which meant we had to bail out the sump by hand for 3 hours until it came back on. Joy!

But otherwise, things look ok. Now I'm waiting to see if I get called in for emergency road work. Joy!

made it through unscathed. I can see a neighbor house has a tree down on top of their pool. Other than that it was mostly branches. lost power for about 30 minutes during the night. Just enough to make DD come and sleep in our bed for a while.

Glad to hear from all the Dads who are reporting in that they are safe and have minimal damage. Hope that trend keeps up!

if anyone is looking for me, im at the hampton inn in easton pa. got everything at home all cleaned up. the wind started blowing gust of 60mhp and took out our power!!! yes, we made it through the storm and at the end we lose our power. now, there is more rain coming but we should be ok. we only get water when we get 3 to 4 inches in 10 min.
i also got a text from carl and he and the kids are fine!! the tornados went around him. his wife was stuck at work couldnt get home. home everyone is doing ok.
oh, dvc website says 29 days to okw. ( i just keep telling myself that.)

Is the Delaware at its flood stage or was just precautionary. I saw it on the Scranton News that they closed school for tomorrow.

Hey guys. Looks like we're through the worst of it, but still dealing with the tail end. So far not too much damage, though there are a few trees down in the yard that will take a lot of work to clean up, and DD's swingset was destroyed by a tree falling. That's what property insurance is for I guess, just glad everything else is ok.
