Lancaster, PA hurricane report - I lost a Leyland Cypress tree in the back yard. About 4" rain where I'm at. New construction across the street from lost most of the tarpaper on the roof and most of the Tyvek too.

Otherwise no big problem. Hope everyone else is good

Irene's approach gave us quite a sunset Fri night (at Lancaster Barnstormer's game).

From here and on FB, glad to see that everyone made it thru the storm. Continued prayers for everyone.

Home from spending the weekend with the in-laws in Iowa. No hurricane, but our own misadventure. I'll post details later.

Just checking in after the storm.

All safe here, wife was finally able to get home from work after working a double.Any roads near her work were all closed in every direction due to flooding. No real damage at home just some leaks now just have to try and hunt down where the water came in???Will be hard without duplicating the source LOL,but will take a look. Pretty much spent the day trying to help friends, and lending out my generator.
Talked to Dave via text message they are safe, was nervous cause he lives about 20 mins from where my mother in law is and I did not hear from her untill late in the day.So all in all wasnt to bad just a lot of flooding now.
From what I am reading here and FB I think most Dads on the east coast are ok,if anyone knows of anything different please let us know!
Time to run my generator to anther person in need, take care guys and still be carefull as flooding on roads is bad

Glad to see and hear reports from the Dads in Irene's path. Glad everyone is well and have not suffered too much damage.

On a happier note...if the Phineas and Ferb live show comes near you I recomend going to see it! We loved it!!! Beat the crap out of the Sesame Street stuff I had to suffe through not too many years ago :rotfl2:

I also caught him in the hospital nursery illegally video-taping the other babies cries and feeding patterns, so he's clearly a Belichick disciple, which means he'll like the Pats too... Score.
Was he video taping the other kids feeding or the source of the food? :rolleyes1

Hey Guys. I am not sure if this is the spot to join but I am going to give it a try. My name is Frank and I am finally getting around to doing this. Sitting here with Irene blowing her way past at 50 MPH. Anyway, I will give you some background on myself. 1st trip to the world was 1973 with my parents. Since then I have been there app. 10 times. Family consists of my wife Sue, 5 children and 4 Grandchildren. My wife and I are DVC members and we usually stay at the Boardwalk ( Home ). We are very excited for the coming year because we are going in December with my BIL and SIL and then in June 2012 we are taking all 13 family members. Looking forward to a MAGICAL year.:yay: Thanks all for reading and if this is not the place to join:sad2: please let me know where.

Thanks,
Frank
Welcome to the club!

Think I'm going to head outside to mow the yard and play with a backhoe. I've got a stump that I don't want to mow around anymore. That and I just like playing with the backhoe and tearing stuff up. :thumbsup2
Backhoes are fun!

Hello all, got back from WDW last night. We managed to stay ahead of Irene coming up the coast. Hope all of you who are in her path are doing ok.

I'll have a trip report started soon with lots of pictures.
Welcome back! Can't wait to read the TR.:thumbsup2
