That's right...it looks like scrambled eggs, but my friends this is buttered popcorn with BACON!

and it was very yummy.

Is it a plain, smoked bacon... or is it possibly a maple bacon or a doctored up bacon cooked with brown sugar on it?

I like to take Wright brand bacon (thick cut, applewood variety) and add a little brown sugar to the top, then stick it in a cold oven (this is on a little rack in a foil-lined baking pan.) Turn on the oven to 400 degrees and set the timer for 25 minutes. Yummy!

Ohhhh sweet maple bacon would be awesome on popcorn. It would make a sort of bacon-y kettle corn.

A question for you dads. What is the Disney store near you like?

The store by our house in NC is just a typical mall store. They have a big screen in the back where the play movies, but other than 1 or 2 display cases and the front windows the store really isn't themed that well.

I just perused a store here in London and was really impressed. The store was themed throughout. For example You walked through a 3 dimensional castle facade to walk onto the downstairs floor. They also had an area set up with a table and a screen where a CM reading a story to a group of kids while they colored. Do your Disney stores have this type of stuff? I wonder if its a concept they are going to roll out more widely.

Ours is the standard run of the mill like you mentioned above. We used to have three here in Indy, but we are sadly down to one. It's a great little distraction every once in awhile. Ours has some cool stuff on clearance pretty regularly.

Well if you're whistling it's cool. Whistling is very Disney, there's even whole songs about whistling, which kind of doesn't make sense now that I think about it. Anyway whistling is much better than humming.

Hurray: the hotel I'm staying at tonight has taken a step to emulate Disney the leader in the hospitality industry.

Boo: The step they took was selecting Nescafe as their coffee vendor.

Double: Boo I found the Disney store in London, but I was late for a meeting so I didn't get to go into it.

Triple Boo: While running to said meeting I dropped my iphone and the screen shattered.

Final hurray: Checked the crowd calendar for our DL dates and it's all 4s and 5s
Great post... sums up quite a roller coaster of emotion. Everything from whistling to a shattered iphone. I just hope that more of the boos can turn to hurray's in the future for you.:lmao::rotfl2:

Well it's going to be hot as Beverly:lmao: here the next few days, although there might not be alot of people on the beach going into the water:confused3 2 days ago a 12ft Great White was spotted 200 ft off shore, and reports were confirmed by the CG:eek:
This sounds like a job for Fed!!!

alright the least i can do is record some video and upload it. so I have uploaded wishes from tonight. at disdads.com/wdw-live
Thank you Carl! Now that it is recorded, I might actually get a chance to see it.

Basically what theduck said. I recently went to the one in Castleton and it seemed to me that it was smaller and had less merchandise than the one in Greenwood used to have. Maybe it is just because that store hasn't been around for a while and I just remember it as being bigger than it was. I was really disappointed with the lack of merchandise though, and I can't see myself fighting traffic to get across Indy to go there again any time in the near future unless I just happen to be around there for some other reason.

Our store is like yours' in NC. Where in London is the store you went to? We'll be in London in July.

Morning Guys.

It's been a crazy few days. My DW left for CA on Monday to spend time with her dad. This morning I got word from CA that my grandmother is out of her suffering, and has left us. I'm waiting on word now regarding funeral arrangements. Thank you so much for the prayers over the past few months. I appreciate them and you.

I don't have the time to go back and check out what's been missed - so if you have had good things, I rejoice with you, if you have had bad things, I'm sad with you, if you need prayer, gladly, if you've just been shootin the breeze like most of the time - consider yourself breezed with some of my own mindless drivel for the day... if a dog farts in the woods, and the fish aren't biting, and your campfire won't light, but the Dole Whips - while ever tasty and good - missing from your day, it must be related to the fact that the sun came up in the west, and trennr is bored at work once again.

Cheers. Off to call my dad and see what he'll have to say about the plans for my grandmother's service.

The store is on Oxford Street. There are a couple of stores in London, but I don't know about the rest of them. I hope I didn't oversell it.

I enjoy ducking into our local store at the mall, but it's not really a destination. This store was a destination. I really wish our store was like this.

That's awesome. Do you keep a couple cans on you at all time?

I'm sorry for you loss. She must have been quite a fighter to last as long as she did through all that she went through.

They just recentlychanged ours to be a lot more interactive, before it sounded a lot like yours in NC...display windows, screen at back, with some themeing along the top of the walls of characters (wonder what happened to all this stuff). Now there is still a screen, with a benches/table areas for the kids to watch, and stuff everywhere. The stuffies (plushes, sorry), have a conical display that moves around and kids can crawl through a tunnel underneith, an area to make custom "Cars" cars, and so-on and so-forth, the kids love a small castle-mockup with princess stuff and "magic Mirrors" that read the tags of the princess stuff and flash a little picture/story of the princess in question. I really like these trees when you first walk in, that change what is in them through projections, I have seen fairies last time, before they were loaded with various "Disney Birds"

That being said, the new store is often crowded, and cluttered. It's hard to navigate around, especially with a stroller, thank goodness this is the last year we'll need one. I have commented to DW that it is less busy at the World.

Big Fish???? Where????\

Here fishy fishy fishy:lmao:

You're gonna need a bigger boat.
