Congrats on having In-laws that "get it" on the DVC. You'll definitely get your use out of their's I'm sure!

My other excuse is, I can stay in Deluxe this coming year because my youngest daughter will still be under age 3 and won't cost us anything! I figure it will be the least expensive time in my life to stay in Deluxe. :thumbsup2

QUOTE]

We'll see, I'm just glad they are getting out and enjoying themselves, rather then my parents who don't "get it" at all and never seem to do much of anything.

And I do like your reasoning for the Deluxe. We are only going this year because of the Kids Stay and Play Free offer CAA had.

That's what we did too, though it wasn't during the high season. The Poly is wonderful, and the proximity to the MK and the monorail probably do make it worth it during a time when having transportation flexibility is important (you've got access to boats, monorail, and buses from the Poly).

If I has it to do over again, I probably would have chosen a moderate or the Swan for our trip. But we were traveling during a much less busy time, so those other considerations were less critical. And if we'd held some of that money back, we'd be returning to WDW much sooner.

The reasons you stated were pretty much the factors we used in picking out the resort. We went all out since we were trating it as our official Honeymoon (albeit 3 years later), so that justified it for us. We waited until the DD1 was a year old before going again. We went on the cheap, stayed at the POP and fell in love with it.

Holy Moly.... over 150 pages today.

When you guys put your mind to it, you can do anything.

I have to admit, I did not read the last 140 pages... was there anything interesting? :rotfl2:

There was a gas shortage and a Flock of Seagulls. Thats....about...it......:rotfl2:

Tornado Warning!!! Does it ever stop??!!!:scared1: Closet here we come!

Stay safe! Man, that stuff has got to be scary.

150+ pages in one day? Holy cow. I'm surprised you guys didn't crash the server.

I would have loved to join the fun, but I was out off the office and away from a computer all day until now.

If we get to the back of MK and decide we need a stroller is there a place back there to get them or do i have to head back up to the front? :confused3

You have to go to the front. I was hoping otherwise last year, when DD1 (6 years) was just worn out, and were only a few hours from the MNSSHP. I ran back while they ate lunch at Columbia Harbour House, and rented one for her. I accidently grabbed a double stroller, so DD2 sat in it too, while DW pushed the empty one we had:lmao:

A few days later in Epcot DD1 fell ill. I was not running back from France in the Showcase all the way to the entrance, after all, we were ready to head out anyways. DD1 ended up riding in DD2's stroller, DD2 loved it, she had her freedom.

So am I crazy to even be considering booking Poly for a high season holiday peak week for next year?

I mean - it will be our first week at WDW and also our first time staying on property....shouldn't I do it right the first time???

My excuse I'm using is because I have two daughters who love MK, that it would be prudent that we stay at a resort close to MK....right? ;)

As they get older and can enjoy the features of EPCOT and DHS, we can stay at resorts closer to those attractions.

Actually - if it were up to wife (bless her heart) we'd be buying DVC! Unfortunately, it's not up to her...it's up to our bank account...and right now it's telling me NO WAY.
I did not STAY at Poly, but seeing the fireworks from the Poly beach was great. Especially during Peak, I think seeing fireworks w/o being elbow-to-foot with every person in Orlando on Main Street USA.

I'm also toying around with the idea of buying a smaller DVC contract and going every other year or so (since we always go around peak time). I don't know if I like the idea of every other year though...just to make it more affordable.

That is the one thing about being on the boards here....there are always so many ideas that are talked about that gets your mind thinking overtime! :rotfl:
There are TONS of times I think how great DVC or another vacation would be. Thanks to the Boards. Oh, Disboards...

Um, Stoper had a couple good pics, and someone laughed at my picture of pictures with and without a flash...

Tornado Warning!!! Does it ever stop??!!!:scared1: Closet here we come!

Stay safe, Steve! Let us know when you come out of the closet!

:rotfl2:

Well, I am out of the closet now!:rotfl2: Thanks for being supportive!:lmao: Serioulsy though...the storms are really bad tonight and we might be headed for cover again at any time...the hail and lightning are horrible..the sky looks green!!! I have never seen it like this before!!!
The weather has been NUTTERS! Seriously, be careful.
HOWEVER, that was great. Reminds me of the episode of South Park with Tom Cruise.

Good Night Gents, I'm off to bed. It's been a long day shutting down IX. It was a blast. We'll do it again in about 20 days.
:thumbsup2<---good thumb

You really think it will take that long :lmao:
You know, There in the middle, it went slow enough that XI could be... 30 days away? Or, if we waited till a "natural" 275 before starting running? Just a suggestion.

I think you have to go to the front, unless you steal one. I read about it on one of the other threads. I think my youngest was 5 when we last did the stoller, but the older one was 7.
Not funny, since someone tried to steal our Double Stroller outside Indiana Jones in August 09. When we grabbed our stroller, another adult said, "oh, here's ours" so that one hits home with me. A friend of mine got a "free" stroller from someone that was leaving as they entered the park. But I wouldn't count on that.

I would have loved to join in. Unfortunately, I had a deposition in the morning, then I was in meetings with my boss all day.

Love the new sub-forum.

Although I must admit that I am not sure if it is a compliment to us, or an exile.

Sorry. I didn't mean to bring up any bad memories. I read a thread where people were complaining about thefts of strollers until it was closed. I hope that people really just get confused as to which stroller is which. I mean, who spends that much Di$ney money to try and steal a stroller? Nevermind. I met a few of them as well. They're the ones who won't give up their seat on the bus.

Great Job Don:cool1: OK what is this sub-forum:confused3 How do you get to it

You got me. I see now. Cool

Our own sub-board?! Excellent! Any ideas for threads? Maybe a disABILITiES thread? A scout thread? A thread just for Christopher's photos?

It's definitely a good thing! You guys have a lot to talk about, and we thought you deserved your own clubhouse.

No exile- you're still welcome in the main house! :rotfl:

You may wish you hadn't said that after some of these guys get some beer and brats in them. :lmao:

Thanks again!
