Hey guys! Catching up from the weekend. Have a few comments on the discussions:
- Tooth Fairy... Should have you wait for the TR update... but that's just plain torture! :lmao::lmao: The first few times DD lost teeth (front ones first) she received $1 each. Since then, she doesn't believe in the Tooth Fairy per se, but does look forward to the surprises. We will usually leave one small present and a $1 to go with it. Losing a tooth at Disney World... ummm... different stakes apply! :rotfl2:

- Father/daughter dance... We haven't had dances to attend yet, but rather have an annual Father/daughter lunch at the church. I've had two with my DD so far. They are precious to both of us. Last year I sang the song "Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman while she danced around me. There's was a lot of dust in the air...

Got more to say... but need to go pick up MIL from the airport.

Finally caught most of the documentary, "Walt: The Man Behind the Myth", last night on CNBC. Fascinating information in that video. Need to find the next showing so I can record it on the DVR :thumbsup2

So... It's the big V-day... what did you guys do for your special someone? We agreed that we wouldn't spend money on each other... but I went got a card for both DW and DD (no, not the same card:rotfl2:). We had already splurged on a Cracker Barrel visit on Friday night... then had a Sweetheart's Banquet Saturday night at church with dinner consisting of the best fillet Mignon Sam's Club can buy! No... seriously... this stuff melted in your mouth! Crème brûlée for dessert...mmmmm. And then we had hired a guy who does a spot-on Frank Sinatra impersonation. I think he knows every one of his songs! Great times. Might have to upload the photo when I get it:thumbsup2

Anywho... back to work for now...

I've actually got a hot date tonight. The annual Roosevelt Elementary Father/Daughter Dance! DD picked out a nice purple tie for me to match her purple dress. Of course, I'll take her out to dinner first. McDonalds, here we come!

:lmao::lmao:

I may be in danger of getting my Man card revoked but Im going to post it anyway...I have a Daddy/Daughter date tonight as well. Taking her out to Tuk Tuk's for sushi (her idea) and then....wait for it.....the Justin Beiber movie (her idea too I SWEAR).
Everybody picks on Justin,,,,why cant they just leave her alone?

No way man, you'd get it revoked if you DIDN'T go...:thumbsup2

I've got a Daddy/Daughter dance next week. Had a date with her last week too. Bowling and Arby's!

Hope all you guys had fun:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

wait a minute guys. I am reading all these posts.Aere you guys saying there is no tooth fairy????:sad1::sad1:

:eek::eek::eek:

Also, one of the friends won't be at the party because her HUSBAND doesn't want to "babysit" (his words) their 4 daughters. No, when they're your kids, it's called "parenting."

I'm fishing, here, but I'm assuming the posters on this panel would agree with me.

Ahhhh...No, he needs an "intervention"...that's silliness...

Sounds like someone needs to be sentenced to about a six-hour stint, stuck in the middle of It's A Small World.

My ears started bleeding just reading this...most definitely cruel and unusual punishment, however, it certainly fits the crime in this situation.

A man and his wife were sitting watching tv one night after the kids went to bed. The husband was flipping back and forth between an adult movie and a fishing show. After a few minutes the wife said "you better switch back to the other channel, you already know how to fish."

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm going to shut my mouth on this one:rotfl2:

Saw a car ad on tv tonite for the new Honda Odyssey, in the ad there was a black one turning a corner, IMO it looked like a hurst:lmao:

That's because if you're in a minivan, you're one step away from one....

Ba dum dum---you had to know this was coming form me:lmao::lmao:

Baby sitter and dinner....:)

Looks like fun. So joining the club. Someone pop the top on one of those root beers and pass me the can!!!:mickeyjum

Welcome PapaMouse!

Now alot of you have been through this so I have to ask, My son is ready to lose 2 teeth soon, he lost 2 a few months ago, The Tooth Fairy (me) gave him $10 a tooth, most everyone I know says I'm crazy, but he puts in his piggy bank and every $20 he saves in his piggy bank we go to the Disney Store and get a GC so he can get stuff at WDW:confused3:yay:

The way I look at it is we would be spending the money at WDW on him anyway, by doing this it teaches him the value of money somewhat, he knows he can only get so much for each card during the day, plus it insures that the money we would spend on toys and trinkets is in place:woohoo:

I know when I was a kid I got 25 cents a tooth:lmao: But now that you know how I put it in place the reasoning is it still crazy:confused3

DS just lost his first two a few weeks ago. He got a gold dollar coin and a pack of Star Wars Mighty Beanz for each one so I guess it works out to about $5 a tooth.

Hey guys, just catching up. Hope everyone's daddy-daughter dates went well!

As for the guy who doesn't want to "babysit" his own kids... :sad2: It's sad, more than anything. Those poor kids.

Yes, we need pictures! :thumbsup2

My Valentine's Day plans involve... not much of anything. :scared1:

My wife and I agree that it's a Hallmark holiday. So we don't make a big deal of it. She tells me to wait on buying candy/flowers/etc. until tomorrow, when it's 50% off. :woohoo:

See why I love this woman? :love:

I am signed up. Sorry about that, I was in the process of signing up the other day and then someone expected me to do work...at work. The nerve of people. I was also struggling to find a good team name. Had to go with a true Disney baseball team. The Gray Sox (from the Goofy movie How To Play Baseball). All set to go now. I will probably have to do the Auto pick for the draft. I have a meeting that night.

We did our Valentine's Day celebrating early, since we had a "Kid's Night Out" event at the synagogue on Saturday night (which is cheaper than several hours of babysitting for two kids, AND went to a good cause). We went out for a nice dinner and then we were supposed to go and see Green Hornet 3D (Mrs. AJRitz prefers action movies to rom coms).

We got to the movie theater just in time for our movie, only to discover that movietickets.com had sold me tickets for a non-existent Green Hornet showtime. The AMC Theater management folks did a decent job dealing with the situation - they both refunded what I paid for the tickets and gave us passes to come back and a movie another time.

So instead, we went back home, enjoyed that we had a quiet house to ourselves for a few hours, and caught up on some episodes of No Ordinary Family.

Our Valentines day happened a week ago when she gave me the deposit on our Dream Cruise and I gave her her new Iphone. Today I put her on a plane to DC for Valentine's day. How romantic was that!?!?! :cool1:

Awwww... match made in cheapskate heaven... :lovestruc :rotfl2:

I woke up this morning got ready for work and left before anyone was awake. I was feeling pretty good about myself that I was able to get out of the house and not wake anyone up. I got to work and realized I forgot about valentine's Day. We normally don't do anything, but I at least remember to give her a kiss and tell her I love her. I called around 8 and wished her a Happy Valentine's Day and told her how much I love her and she cried!!! WOO HOO successful day! (in my defense for forgetting, my sister is going in for back surgery today and I have been really worried about her)

Welcome to the league! I've only played fantasy baseball once before. My problem is that I'm a HUGE college basketball fan, and I'm usually following my Jayhawks into the end of March/beginning of April. I'm just not ready to think about baseball yet.

Ditto what Mark (and others) said. Those poor kids with the babysitting dad...

My wife's the same way. Won't let me buy her flowers for Valentines. A waste of money, she says! In fact, I'm working the overnight tonight...

But before I left, I got this note from my daughter. Got a good facebook reaction, so I thought I post it here. Apparently, she loves me more than Disney and Zombies, so that's a whole lot. :banana::banana::banana:
