But before I left, I got this note from my daughter. Got a good facebook reaction, so I thought I post it here. Apparently, she loves me more than Disney and Zombies, so that's a whole lot.:banana::banana:

Be sure to tell her that she can love zombies, just don't LOVE zombies. (They will eat your brains!)

:rotfl:

P.S. OWNAGE!

Sunday Morning. Ahhh...
Today, my DW is throwing a baby shower for her friend. The baby showed 6 weeks early, but is doing well. The down-side is that there wasn't a baby shower yet. So, I'll stay home with the the kiddos and play "Dangerous Hunts" on the wii. or Epic Mickey.

Also, one of the friends won't be at the party because her HUSBAND doesn't want to "babysit" (his words) their 4 daughters. No, when they're your kids, it's called "parenting."

I'm fishing, here, but I'm assuming the posters on this panel would agree with me.

Sad. Really having to hold my tongue on this one because I see this type of crap a lot at and through my school activities.

DS16 is looking for that show on DVD...we recorded it and watched it last weekend as he was recooping from Wisdom Teeth extractions.

V-day...yesterday DS's and i got DW some single roses...Saturday our kids actually had a make-up day for school...so I took the DW to her favorite resturant.

this morning I gave her a funny card...

ain't no laundry pile high enough...
ain't no bank balance low enough...
ain't no king size matress wide enough...
to keep me from lovin you babe...

then on the back of the card said...
ain't no snoring loud enough... :lmao:

:lmao:

DW and I did valentine's day yesterday as she is currently at work on the 7p-7a shift. Great evening together, nothing extravagant, just took some time and hung out for a while.

Got signed up for the league!! First time ever doing fantasy leagues so Im excited to learn how to run a team. Tronorails is the name.

Well, this fall's Fantasy Football was my first time in any fantasy league. Let me give you the one bit of advice that helped me the most: win the league. It makes it so much more fun:thumbsup2 :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I started Valentine's Day this morning with a card I found, it has a cartoon guy in his boxers and a t-shirt, the front says- Sometimes I don't know how you have the patience to put up with me. On the inside it says - But I'm guessing it's on account of my awesome sexiness. I woke up with her laughing crazy:lmao:

I got a long stem rose for my son to give to her:goodvibes

For dinner I got her something you guys down south might like:confused3 A fried spicey pub pickle, a onion loaf (sort of like a Blooming onion), and a full rack of BBQ St Louis style ribs, with hot cinnimmon apples, and a loaded baked potato:banana: and her favorite drink a 6pk of Pineapple Smirnoff Ice, She's a Happy Camper:banana:

welcome to the league! I've only played fantasy baseball once before. My problem is that i'm a huge college basketball fan, and i'm usually following my jayhawks into the end of march/beginning of april. I'm just not ready to think about baseball yet.

How do you get a KU grad off your front porch?

Pay Him for the Pizza!!!
MIZZOU!!!

Go Tigers!

:)

We haven't "done" Valentine's Day in 16 years. Why you ask? Well it could be that I'm pretty cheap, and so my DW - or it could be that today is my eldest's birthday - and that has kind of eclipsed it for us for the past 15 years. Sure we give each other a little card, and she usually gives me a small bag of chocolates to take to the office, while I give her a small bunch of roses but that's it. Last year I started giving my "other" valentine her own flowers too - a small bunch of carnations. Just looking at her face today when I gave her her second small bunch of carnations was just priceless. Who needs to go out and sit in a crowded restaurant and fork over a c-note to be able to eat? Not me.

Besides - I'm in the midst of birthday & anniversary row right now... between December and April - there's big money spent each month. December has Christmas of course, followed by January (middle boy's birthday), February (older boy's birthday AND DW's birthday), March (our anniversary), and April daughter's birthday)... so this Hallmark special just kind of goes by the wayside for us.

Yes you do...but you also have more kids than I do too! And of course I did leave out May (mother's day) and June (father's day - since after all - I do fund these things too)... our respite is July - September. October is my birthday (and yeah, being a one income household, I fund that too). November is not really a respite, since it's Thanksgiving and preparing for Christmas! :rotfl: And I'm not even counting though I need to - the summer camps, Scouts, sports and other registrations that come in February, March & April. It's a wonder there's anything left to go to WDW and DL :rotfl2:

i have been away to long. we just exchange cards on v day and go out to eat next week. after 26 years i think we know how we feel.:lmao: its been busy, work is busy, dd turned 18 and the final dance season is here.:woohoo: welcome new dads!!! glad to see don back!:thumbsup2

Oh dont mention scouts and sports that is all about to hit the wallet now lol.If only kids knew what they cost!!!!!

We do a pretty low key Valentine's Day... like a few others have mentioned, this is a busy part of the year for us too and our anniversary is only 9 days after V Day. Those are 2 things that should either be a few months apart, or on the same day.:rotfl2:

What are you going to do? I’m going to Disney World.

Haven’t been on the boards for a while because I spent six weeks in the hospital fighting an infection in my legs and feet. Due to complications, what was supposed to take a week ended up as a six week stay. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s were celebrated in the hospital. Good times.

I talked to MS to bank points and they let me know I had a few points expiring in June. Decided to take a trip and booked a couple of days at BLT in a 1 Br., Standard View over DD’s Spring Break. Yesterday, the waitlist came through for the second day. We may take her friend with us. We will also use this opportunity to visit some colleges.

I don’t think I will make it to the parks but I will get DD and her friend a one day park hopper so they can get a Disney fix. The only plans are to see the fireworks from the top of BLT. Looking forward to getting away for a bit.

She'll love this! At 8 years, she's more of a Plants vs. Zombies girl, but I'm working her up slowly.

And yes, we do have a Zombie Infestation Plan and we review it regularly.
