Ok, DDA's ... off to the dentist! I'm a little worried about this visit, as there's been some new stuff going on. Hopefully I'll be back here VERY quickly! :worried:

Denise -- Congrats on getting your hubby interested in DVC! I can't wait until this stupid house thing is out of the way ..... I have priorities, you know! :rotfl:

I'm really excited for you, though! Please keep us posted! :wizard:

I agree on this one. We also have 5 people. It is harder to make the numbers work for a family of 5. You buy more points, but then the annuals dues are more. I can't see a big benefit for my family. I keep hoping that I'm missing something, but so far no one has shown me what it is.

Deb

I hope you all don't mind if I join in on your DVC discussion!

The first time we stayed at BWV we had 5 in our group. My oldest was 16 and the youngest was 13. We fit fine into a studio and the CM's are the ones who put us in there! We knew nothing about DVC- I just saw an add at the back of the old Disney Club magazine with some great prices in it for trying BWV's. I didn't even realize it was a time share! I called told them we had 5 of us and our ages and they offered us a 1 bedroom or a studio. I chose the studio because it was less expensive. We fit in there just fine. The girls slept in the other double bed and my son slept on a day bed they had in the room. Denise, your kids are still small- For now I'm sure you'd be fine to stay the same way- unless of course you want the room! Then by all means do a 1 or 2 bedroom unit. they're pure heaven!!! There is a 4 person rule in a studio now, however your kids are young and small- I'll bet they'd ok the studio if you wanted- what do you other DVC people think??

DVC is the best decision we have made for our vacationing needs! DH is not a Disney freak like I am, but he really enjoys going to the sun, and knowing where he's going when he gets there. As time goes by, we use the parks for total enjoyment- not panicked excitement! In taking advantage of belonging to DVC and having AP's, we can meander around the parks, come and go as we please and do not feel guilty about wasting our time or money on only 2 or 3 hours a day in a park if that's what we want to do- because we know we'll be back again and again! We even sleep in sometimes (8:00 am!!!) and don't feel the need to get up and grab those EMH in the am. We own at BCV's and on the 1st day I will always walk in the back door to EPCOT and over to Italy to buy a couple of Cannoli's from the take out place there. This has become a tradition for us and as we are able to take our time there now, we build more and more upon these traditions.... an early morning walk around the Boardwalk in the quiet of the day- beautiful! Oops! Don't forget to stop at the Boardwalk Bakery on the way back!!! Just having the time to take in all the beauty this place has to offer is a great thing. And we can finally do this now that we own DVC. I can't underestimate what a change there is in our vacationing now that we own there! It's so much more peaceful and restful, and we enjoy it tremendously!

Oh.... when the kids get older, you can get 2 studios and request that the rooms are next to each other- that will save you point s big time! No guarantee that they will be right next door, but they really do their best to locate them near you.

Oh my! You've got me on this one???

I didn't remember this one either:

Look out! Look out!
Pink elephants on parade
Here they come!
Hippety hoppety
They're here and there
Pink elephants ev'rywhere
Look out! Look out!
They're walking around the bed
On their head
Clippety cloppety
Arrayed in braid
Pink elephants on parade
What'll I do? What'll I do?
What an unusual view!
I could stand the sight of worms
And look at microscopic germs
But technicolor pachyderms
Is really much for me
I am not the type to faint
When things are odd or things
are quaint
But seeing things you know that ain't
Can certainly give you an awful fright!
What a sight!
Chase 'em away!
Chase 'em away!
I'm afraid need your aid
Pink elephants on parade!
Pink elephants!
Pink elephants!

I do have a special place in my heart for pink elephants -- in my sorority, my big-sister line was called the Pink Elephants! (and no, not because of our size, at least then!)

(Yes, I had to google this one! Though I did know that it was from Dumbo.)

Put your faith in what you most believe in
Two worlds, one family
Trust your heart
Let fate decide
To guide these lives we see

Like Tammi said Tarzan. Tarzan Rocks is my favorite show on property and it is due to close this Saturday 1/21. Marti and I fly in on Sunday the 22nd and I am hoping that it has not shut down yet so that I might get to see it one last time.

Ya know what song I was thinking of ? It's called Two Worlds Apart- GREAT song!

Skunka- hope it's open that one last day just for you!! I actually saw this show for the first time ever on my trip in November. I'm really glad now that I took the time to see it. I had no idea it was being cancelled! Too bad! It was a fun show to watch.

Well my friends, let this be a lesson to you. Don't leave your Christmas stockings hanging on the mantel until well into January if you have a curious 5 year old. Christopher stared at his so long he thought Santa came back and left something in it. When he pulled on the stocking the cast iron stocking holder fell off and hit him in the head twice. He has a cut in his scalp and his forehead split and has a little knot. Fortunately the cut on his forehead was very small. Had it been any larger it may have required stitches. It's also fortunate that he's very hard headed ;) . You think I would have learned my lesson after he pulled the last hanger off and broke it.

Oh my. I'm so glad that he wasn't hurt worse. Hope the knot goes away quickly.
