Ouch Bengalbell!

Hope Christopher recovers quickly. We hung our stockings with the stocking holders too. My DGS ran over to grab his Elmo stocking and the holder fell smack unto his big toe. Split it right down the middle.

So much for the stockings on the mantle.... :worried: So we put his on the bookcase shelf so he could pull it off at will.... :rose: :rose:

Denise,

That is such good news about DVC!!!! I know you will love it!!!! :flower2: :rose: :flower2: :rose:

I can find it - but I have one small problem - who is oddball?!?

is this her

clipdalmpo3.gif

That is her!! She is in 102 Dalmations....she doesn't get her spots...hence the name oddball...until the very end of the movie.

ETA: My personal favorite part of the movie is when they buy her a spotted sweater!! Oddball is quite a bit like Abi....not quite the same as all the other puppies but is now getting her "spots"

I knew I could count on you all for graphics....THANKS!!!! this will be my first complete tee so I will definitely figure out how to post pics

I am also going to do pillowcases and then move on to the hard core stuff....actual shirts for our trip!!! :rotfl2:

What do you do with the pillowcases? Do you use them to get autographs or just to put on the kids pillows in the room at Disney? I've been thinking about doing this but wasn't sure what others do.

I am finally caught up with 6 days of posts. Took hours but was worth every minute!!! I love this thread. My mom had surgery on Monday downstate. She is doing great. I left Saturday and had no internet access except for about an hour on Sunday night. I was ok at the time but when I started the trip home, I couldn't wait to get on to check this thread.

You are all so giving people. I love the patches and the Cinderella letter. How sweet and thoughtful.

Kate is awesome. If I don't learn something from her posts, I pick something up from someone quoting her. Thanks to her generosity, my DD17, DD20, DH and I will have name t-shirts with the characters for our March trip. Thanks Kate.

Rosiejo: Thanks for the offer to share your autograph pages. I have sent you a pm. I like Kate's idea that someone shared about taking them individually with a clipboard. Thanks again Kate. :rose:

I love the daily songs. I bought a couple of Disney CD's and listened to them on my travels downstate. Pink Elephants on parade is one I love to hear. Thanks for the fun Skunka & Marti.

Thanks to everyone on this thread for making it such a happy place to visit (or should I say live?). You are all so welcoming and it is nice to share my love of Disney with others.

Have a great week-end!

We will be camping so I wanted the girls to have special pillowcases for camping both in Fort Wilderness and when we camp locally.

But we have done autographs on fabric before....there are great fabric markers out there....the autographs are still going strong 5 years later.

it has been a while since I posted my pictures so I thought I would so you all could see what I am talking about

the awesome thing about these it that the characters then know my kids names and it is pretty easy to keep track of whose autographs we still need

it is funny when we see a character multiple times and they have already signed - they always seem a little disappointed they don't get to sign!! We get comments from the CM's, the characters, other guests and Julia looks at her books ALL the time - I use them as her trip scrapbook and it is just perfect!!!!

For our quick 4 day trip in May - instead of making the 6x6 pages - I went ahead and made them 4x6 - then I bought her the Happiest Celebration on Earth Princess album and put the cards in before the pictures of the character - again s he loves this book and looks at it all the time - if you think you are not inclined to scrapbook the pictures when you get home - I think this is a great option!!!!!

to make the 6x6 cards - I buy a pack of 12x12 cardstock at Michaels - i wait until they are sale or use the 40% off coupon and then I cut them into 4 6x6 squares.

I have the characters in a word table so then I make a mail merge document and get my words organized - then i merge them into a new document and go through and make sure they are all on the page - the size of the character sometimes causes the words to fall onto the next page and I make any necessary adjustments and then print -

I take a small clipboard that costs less than $1 at the office supplies stores and a bunch of sharpies (Julia and I like to coordinate the character to the color of their outfit - except princesses have to be pink or purple - for example peter pan signs in green - so we always buy the mega pack!!!) and put them in a ziploc baggie - then at night we do take out the ones we already had signed so we don't keep carrying them throughout the week - i also always print blank ones - there always seems to be a rare character we forgot to put in around or thie time the mickey one got wet and we had to have him sign a blank page

feel free to ask questions -

kate

this is a picture of Julia's pillowcase - she sleeps with it on her bed now and LOVES it - it went through the washer just fine too!! We used sharpies to have these signed as well!! I do think it was a little harder for them to sign these space wise - so I don't think it would have worked getting a lot of autographs on them -

the other reason this will now be a problem is if you want the dining plan - you would not be able to get the dining plan for the fifth person

Good point Kate, I didn't think of that. Of course, if your kids were light eaters, it might be nice to have them share.

Your scrapbook for Julia's birthday was really cute, but those weren't 6x6 were they? It looked like a 12x12.

That is an idea for next time for the kids. I sent Clare a pm and asked for her pages.

We may be going in April over spring break, haven't really decided yet. If we are, I had better get going on some of this stuff.

What's a word table, is this a file you can email? I would be quite interested in borrowing your idea.

We did these same pillowcases for my nieces last year, and gave the cases to them for Christmas (thanks to Kate for the design). Their parents haven't taken them to WDW yet, but they LOVE the princesses, and this was a great keepsake for them. My mom also added some eyelet lace and satin ribbon to the case to match their rooms and make them a little more "feminine." I've been meaning to post pics from Xmas, but haven't found the time yet.

We got a multi-color pack of pastel colored permanent fabric markers at JoAnn's to use, and I just put a small piece of cardboard underneath the spot where I wanted the princesses to sign - it gave them a hard surface, and kept the color from bleeding through. They were great about also writing "To Princess Emily (or Abbey)" and some even added little extra things to their signature. It turned out very cute!!

I really like your pillow case.

For those who have boys, DS bought a "bucket" hat at WDW before we went on DCL. Guest services took his hat and it was "autographed" by all of the characters and then given back to him. He still loves to wear this.

Here is a picture of it: it is a little hard to see, but he finds it much easier than carrying a "book" with him. If he sees a character he needs, he just takes off his hat and hands it to him.

WOW! You got a lot of pictures on each page. I like the composition to that.

Kate--If I PM you my email address, would you send me your Word file with the characters? I would love to make an autograph book like this for dd's 13th birthday trip.

Thanks!
