Thanks for the help with the bags. I appreciate the opinions. I am going to order the smaller ones for all her teachers. Here is a design that I came up with for her teacher and assistant

I am going to have Emma put her handprints on either side of the design. I am working on something for the other teachers.

Very nice design!

Just popping on quickly to say "hi!". Hope everyone who has been sick & their kids are feeling better.

My DH is coming home tonight. He has been in Columbus since Monday on business..hey Kate & Amy how close is Columbus to you guys??? Maybe I'll have to come out with him someday & I can make a road trip to the cheesecake factory to meet you all.

My DS Daniel's 7th birthday is Sunday. He is going to his first Mets baseball game & is so thrilled. He's a huge-o Met fan not sure if you remember my halloween (MNSSHP) pictures from October but he was a Met player for halloween. Anyway, we submitted a request to the stadium to announce his birthday & put his face on the jumbo-tron thingy. He doesn't know about this but he's going to be so excited when they do it. Kids 12 & under get to run the bases after the game. He also doesn't know that either...can't wait to see the look on his face when we go.

Hope all is well with my fellow DDA's.

Anne Marie -- Happy Birthday to Daniel!!! Sounds like a great outing!

Finally, some pictures! :)

This is my new niece Taylor! :goodvibes She is nine months old. I was so happy to meet her, but Alyssa didn't like me holding her too much. It should be interesting to see her reaction when Matthew gets here!
Amy -- she's a doll! Thanks for posting the pictures of Alyssa and her cousins!

And before anyone comments, yes, I changed my signature AGAIN! And I will continue to do so as the mood strikes! :teeth:

That's a great photo! I'm in a signature rut myself. :rotfl:

For all the "bump" requests, here's my big belly and HUGE butt!!!

Amy :)

Amy -- you look FABULOUS! You are so small for your due date! Good for you for taking Alyssa out so much. I have a neighbor who isn't due until September and is already staying inside most of the time.

Well, I'm off to bed! Hopefully, the very loud frog outside my bedroom window (remind me why we wanted a small waterfall and pond there again???!!!!) is quieter tonight. Any ideas on how to quiet him down besides fried frog legs? :lmao:

:rotfl: :rotfl2:

We have ducks in our neighborhood and well it is mating season so everynight around 10:30 or so all I hear are them going at it. The water splashing around and the quacks drive me bonkers. What cracks me up is that there is one female and 4 or 5 males and they are always together. Couldn't pay me enough to be a duck.

Denise-

I love the fact you are changing your signature all the time. That way I can see your precious triplets in different pics.

Looks like you have plenty of knights in shining armor to protect you!!

Me too!

You know, I was thinking as I read the last few posts, that our children are so lucky! From what I can tell about all of you, you are loving, caring mothers who want only the best for your children, and all the other children around you. That's an amazing thing! Something to be proud of! I admire all of you for all the volunteering you do! You all inspire me so much! I just hope you know how important you are, not only to your own kids, but to so many other people. I just wanted you all to know how much I admire all that you do.

Well said Glynis!

I had my knee surgery today and it was a breeze. We have a new surgery center and they had me in and out in less than 21/2 hours. At the hospital two years ago when I had this same surgery it took almost 5 hours to get in and out.

They also used some differnt kind of anesthesia and i felt great and very alert when I awoke from surgery. I was very impress.

I will be on crutches until Sunday afternoon adn then will be able to walk normal.

I had a torn meniscus and that part was removed. Everthing went great. I am on pain med as I am typing this so if I sound strange please excuse me. LOL

Delinda
Kate, maybe you should use Delinda's doctor! ;) I'm glad you are on the road to recovery. :goodvibes

Yes it is our first! I am excited, for the most part. I have to get through my test tomorrow, then I'll be moderately excited. We also have some stuff to take care of around here for moving, jobs, etc before we go that has me a little more stressed.... so it might take a bit longer to get REALLY excited for this one. But I'm pretty sure by Saturday afternoon when we're on our way, I'll be ecstatic!

Jennifer:

GOOD LUCK!
:shamrock: :shamrock: :shamrock: :shamrock:

I know you'll do well, but sending you PD anyway!

Yep, his business partner up until a couple years ago didn't have any obligations now he's married with a baby and all of a sudden wondering about the long hours they have required of each other. ETA: my family thinks DH owning his own business is all roses what they don't realize is he works harder than he would if he had a job for someone else. And after 9/11 we went several months without pay as the company paid the employees and bills before us. It has some benefits but also has downsides.

My girlfriend's DH just started his own business right before Christmas and she says the same thing, that he works harder now then he ever did before.

What a great thing that you were able to do for the the employees after 9/11.

Robyn - as long as you and Amy are willing to share the RecitalBrain it is fine with me. Just be aware that it has very short-term memory right now. And I agree that the Zoo would make a great side trip for the DDAers in July!

I have absolutely no short term memory. And I can't blame it on pregnancy or recitals. :goodvibes
