Could I please have some prayers and pd for my dad, who is undergoing a heart cathaterization (sp?), probably as I type this. He had a stress test last week and there was some blockage, so now they are doing this to figure out the next step. They may not need to do anything, insert stents or do surgery, depending on what is found. He had a heart attack, about 15 yrs ago, and an angioplasty. A year and a half ago he had stents put in for blockage, and now maybe again. Hopefully it will all go well.
Tammi -

sending :pixiedust: and saying prayers for your dad - be sure to keep us posted!!!!

Here's a sad one:

The principal at the local Catholic grammar school died at age 49. She went in for a double knee replacement...really makes you think. I am especially paranoid since Bill needs the exact same surgery!

This is the one splurge I do for myself...and I agree, I love mine as well!

Also..hope things with your dad go well!!!!

It's called a housekeeper!!!! I  mine. Granted, no one cleans as well as oneself, but just having the carpets vacuumed, the furniture dusted, the bathrooms cleaned and the floors mopped is enough for me!!!

I had my knee surgery today and it was a breeze. We have a new surgery center and they had me in and out in less than 21/2 hours. At the hospital two years ago when I had this same surgery it took almost 5 hours to get in and out.

They also used some differnt kind of anesthesia and i felt great and very alert when I awoke from surgery. I was very impress.

I will be on crutches until Sunday afternoon adn then will be able to walk normal.

I had a torn meniscus and that part was removed. Everthing went great. I am on pain med as I am typing this so if I sound strange please excuse me. LOL

Delinda

I am glad to hear that the surgery went well and quickly, Delinda! That's great news. I hope that it does the trick and keeps you pain free. Good luck on your yard sale and house organizing! I have been trying to figure how much stuff I can get rid of before we move to limit the size truck we have to pay for.

That is really sad. Prayers for her family and her students!! That must be very upsetting to an elementary school student and a sad way to end the school year.

I always have a theory on freak things: once I hear it happen to someone around the same time I need it done -then I figure I am safe - I guess that is just my own coping mechanism

When I was pregnant with Julia a good friend of mine had a baby and had shoulder dystotia during delivery - very scary for everyone involved - but since it is really rare - I felt safe in crossing it off my list of worries b/c she was the one in 1000 for that month!!!!!

It is always so hard to make the decision to have elective surgery b/c you know the risks involved. When Bill decides to have the surgery I will pray that for him and for strength for you during it!!!

Thanks for all the prayers and PD! The DDA has done it again! I just spoke to my mom and the cathaterization went well, everything is ok and they are getting ready to go home! :Pinkbounc

Please pray for Phil right now. I don't know what is going on as I'm at work, but he sounds like he is on the verge of a total breakdown. It is being caused in part because some combination of the high calcium and Vitamin D they had him taking has been keeping him so drowsy for over a week that he can barely function. Now he seems to have come to the end of his rope over these feelings. Luckily, he is of good enough mind that he has made an appointment for this afternoon with a psychologist. For now, I just need him to get himself and Terra into the city and to me safely. He won't be driving so there isn't a danger there, but they can get to me faster than I can get to them and I think time is of the essence as too relieve as much stress as possible as soon as possible. He has asked me to go to the doctor with him so hopefully I can help convey what has been going on lately if he can't. Thank you for any prayers and pixie dust you can spare as this is all a little scary.
