Kristine - Glad you guys decided to keep V&A's! Sounds like you guys are having a GREAT time. Love the pictures and see you soon! :teeth:

I'm sure Garrett & Riley will enjoy a few of these nights lol I asked Gary what he would like me to get at the store & he said stuff like chicken strips, fries, breakfast items, you know easy stuff :rotfl: Gotta love'em!

Good morning!

Almost packed, waiting for some things to dry. I am so excited, I can't believe its almost Thursday....Katie is still sulking about me leaving.

No work today, so I can get packing, cleaning, food shopping done. I made a list for Dana. He knows the kids schedule but he works so much that he's not always home to know exactly what time & the details. But I am not going to worry, he's a fun Daddy & :lmao:

Kristine so glad to hear your trip is off to a wonderful start! Look forward to meeting you in 2 days :woohoo:

I am going to list a couple of Leighanna's outfits that I made on Evil-Bay this weekend. I hope to make a few dollars for a down payment for a "proposed" trip either next summer, or possibly early December of next year! :woohoo:

Woo Hoo! FINALLY!! :yay:

Everybody should have a PM waiting with their names for the ornament exchange.

A reminder $5 minimum before shipping and let's have the packages to their recipients before Thanksgiving.

Thanks all!!!

:thumbsup2 Thanks for doing that. We will be ornament shopping this weekend:cool1:

Good morning! :)

I heard from Kristine last night...she and Bill had a wonderful first day at the World!

It sounds like they are having an amazing time and they look so happy

Tom I'm glad that you are finally feeling better. Can't wait to hear what your creations go for. I know that they will make a killing.

45 1/2 hours until we take off :cool1: :cool1: I woke up at 4:30 this morning in a cold sweat as I was thinking that I had forgotten to checkin with SW. Of course I can't check in until 6:30 AM TOMORROW morning. Isn't it funny what thing come to us in the middle of the night.

I'm off to play a short game of roll the ball with Colby then I will be getting this house 100% in order. Tomorrow is for pampering myself and spending quality time with the kids before work.

Have a Great Day DDA!!! I'm sure that I'll check in when I need breaks.

Good thoughts for your grandpa, Jen. And for you with your meeting.

Kristine - I am SOOOOOO jealous! I really wanted to eat at V&A this trip, but it just was not to be financially this time. One time soon, though. I want a full report, please. I hope you love your KTTK tour as much as I did. So much fun. See you soon!

Elizabeth - have fun swimming... ;)

Amy & Robyn - love your new pictures!

Tammy - safe travels. :goodvibes:

Deb - keep healing!!

Looks like Bill got to a chocolate before you snapped the picture. :rotfl:

if there is any spare PD floating around the DDA could I ask that some be sent winging its way to Boston? Kathrin has landed and is checked into the Omni. She has a 3 hour interview this afternoon with one company and another long interview with the second company tomorrow morning.

She will get back into the Richmond airport tomorrow night about 9:45 and will meet Kristin and Bob and me at the Doubletree there instead of driving home and then back again Thursday morning. So, it will feel like our vacation starts tomorrow too! :woohoo:

Well if anyone has any spare :wizard: I could use just a little. My dad called me this morning and told me that my aunt had died (his sister). This was very sudden and quite a shock to everyone. The viewing is going to be Tues night and Wednesday afternoon and evening, with burial on Thurs. I know my parents would completely understand if I did not attend, but I really liked this aunt and she was good to me, and my children. So I'm planning on taking the kids out of school and driving up to PA on Tuesday and coming back to VA on Wednesday. Five and a half hour drive each way. So tomorrow after work I have to get things together to go up there, and then Wednesday night they go to their dad's to stay for the week that I am gone. So that means I have to have all their stuff together for that too. Plus get ready for our trip. I'm so afraid that I'm going to be so frazzled that by the time Thursday gets here I'll be going into the trip exhausted, instead of coming home exhausted. Can I pull this all off?

Prayers for you all. Drive safely today. You'll make it through it all, I know, and will still have a wonderful weekend. :grouphug:

Have you checked Lane Bryant....they are having a sale 2 for $25...I've got to go check it out this week.

Oh, thanks for that! I need to head shopping for some and that price works for me! I hate when I buy more expensive ones and they don't last near as long as I would like.

Your XH is a bonehead, so not to make excuses for him, but I have yet to meet a dad who can keep up with the kids' schedules.:rotfl2:

Momboss and I had talked about getting Princess a Halloween costume, so I bought her a Minnie dress at the Disney Store and put it on the table so they could look at it. In a separate conversation I talked to Dadboss about a Christmas dress for Princess. I bought 3 formal dresses and hung them in her closet so Momboss could choose one (she was out of town when I bought them). Well, Dadboss saw the Minnie dress and thought it was her Christmas dress. He didn't ask me about it though, because he didn't want to hurt my feelings by telling me he didn't like the dress for Christmas.:lmao: I can't imagine why he wouldn't want her to wear a dress with big polka dots and black sequins to the formal dinner at his parents' house.:confused3 :rotfl2: Momboss finally realized what he thought and she pulled out the Christmas dresses for him to see. Now he feels much better.;)

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: That is just too funny!!

We have given Bethie 5 shots so far. :guilty: The first 4 were very difficult for her :sad1:(I didn't have much fun either), but last night she cleaned the shot area with alcohol herself as well as picked the shot site. :thumbsup2 She still does not want them and tries to negotiate out of them. I think the main reason for the pain is because the meds are so cold.:scared: It says to give as soon as you can once taken out of the fridge. We keep praising her growth and also have a chocolate jar which was purchased for rewarding after the shot. :cheer2: Thank you again for your prayers!

Yeah! I'm so glad that things are getting easier for Bethie (and you!). Such a brave girl! :cloud9:

Amy - Cute pics! The show looks neat! We took DS to Disney on Ice YEARS ago and it was fun.

Kristine - Glad your trip is off to a great start! Great pics!:)

Elin - Lots of interview :wizard: for Kathrin!

It is actually kind of cool this morning! Low 60's. Pretty soon I am going to have to rethink coming home in my wet swimsuit on Tuesdays.:scared: I always put Princess in dry clothes at the swim school but I prefer to dress myself at home.

My family could use some extra prayers and PD, if anyone can spare any.

You all know the trials and travails of my brother. The latest short version of the story - went to the rehab in Florida (complete waste of time and $$), and came back to Houston and has been living in a halfway/after-care house. That has appeared to be a good experience for him - was working the 12 steps, had a good sponsor, and (unbelievably) was able to get back into his former career with a different company, at the same pay grade.

Fast forward a month or so - and he wants to leave for Florida again - without having completed his 12 steps, no job, no prospects, no place to live, etc. (If you'll remember, his latest round of rehab was prompted by getting fired from his job, and deciding that he was going to leave for CA to be in the movie-making business.) Well, just change the location/vocation, and it's the same story. This time, he wants to go back to Florida, and be a tattoo-artist. And again, leaving everything behind that he has been working on - his sobriety will probably go by the wayside, as well as his stable career, etc. He's also refusing to take his other meds (he's OCD and a host of other things).

My parents met with him and his counselor this morning, all 3 trying to dissuade him from this, namely by showing him how this won't work any time soon, being that he won't have any money once he pays my parents back for all they've loaned him. He just doesn't get it, and is insisting that he'll be leaving for Florida in about 3 weeks.

I am just numb to this situation now, but of course, it's really weighing on my parents, and they're worried that he will go off again, lose his sobriety, and a host of other horrible things that happen to people with mental illness and no resources. If you could, please pray for strength and courage for them, as well as for SOMETHING, ANYTHING to get through my brother's head that this is not a wise decision for him. I know I would covet your prayers for all of them. Thanks, friends.

Continued prayers and :wizard: for your family. I hope that someone can get through to your brother this time.

Kristine, nice pictures. Thanks for taking the time to post them.

DS got his report card today. 2 surprises. 1) He got a "B" in math!! 2) He got a "B" in Band, with a numeric average of only 80.  That makes NO sense to me. He shows up every day with his drum sticks, so WHY is his grade so LOW? I need to e-mail the band director and/or the percussion teacher and ask what the deal is and find out how he can improve his grade in there. That really just boggles my mind.

Yeah on the B in math!!! That is great news! I hope that you can figure out the band grade.

:wizard: :wizard: She will do wonderfully:wizard: :wizard:

I'm making great progess. I just organized all of the Christmas presents that I have already bought. Now I know where I stand so if I see something I can pick it up :thumbsup2 Now to clean the masterbath and finish our room.

Good Morning DDA!

Phwew! It seems like forever since I have said this!

I am finally starting to feel better! Thanks for all the good thoughts!

The coughing has finally slowed down. I swear my ribs hurt so much from coughing, that I felt like I had exercised for hours on end!

I am so glad that you are finally feeling better, Tom!!!! Good luck on selling your creations!

Of course! :wizard:

Thanks! The show was really magical. I think I spent more time watching Alyssa watch the show though. :goodvibes

Continued prayers and :wizard: for your family. I hope that someone can get through to your brother this time.

Lindsay, you have my prayers too. Having been there with my own brother, I can completely empathize. The only time I ever used a certain expletive in front of my mother was during one a "Paul episode." We can laugh about it now, but I was furious at the time.
