Janet,

You are going to really enjoy the Cirque Du Soleil. There is non stop entertainment. Words cannot even begin to describe what Stephanie and I saw there in WDW. One hour and 45 minutes of constant motion.

Chris took them off as soon as he got home and hasn't looked at them since. I'm thinking of throwing them in the dryer then stuffing a softball in them
I love my Crocs, but this pair is just hard!!pirate: pirate: Poor Chris!pirate:

Stephanie, sorry your pirate: crocs didn't work out for you.
Heidi, I love my other Crocs. Just the pirate ones rot.pirate:

OMG Janet, KA was amazing. KA was my first Cirque experience. We paid a little more and got seats on the first level center. It was so worth it. Although a lot of the action takes place above, it was the best view. The action surrounds you. I sat slack jawed for two hours. Amazing show.:goodvibes :goodvibes

Sorry the Crocs are not working out for you Stephanie. I love my Crocs, they were the only shoes that did not give me a blister this trip.
Janet, I love my Dsiney Crocs and I love my Eagles Crocs. The pirate Crocs have to go.pirate:

I'm impressed that you know what a Cheetah Girl is!!! :rotfl2:

You are a cool Grandma!
Hey!!! :lmao: I've watched both movies many times. Know all the songs. Got my DGD tickets to the concert. :goodvibes I'm a cool grandma.:cool2:

Try going from WL to DTD on Disney transport. It felt like we could have driven all the way HOME in the time it took to make that trip!:rotfl:
That bus ride caused my son to drive all the rest of the time he was at the WL. In fact, he came back for his car when he got to DTD. The bus transportation in December was especially bad.:headache:

Ok, all of you car renters......you are making me rethink this........

Explain to me how renting a car, driving, parking, riding a tram or walking a long distance is better than waiting for a bus for around 15 minutes.

If you can put up a good argument, maybe I will change my mind and try the rental route in Dec., if I can get a good price.
I think we will continue with the cabs for the resort to resort trips and Disney transporation otherwise. That way we can have a few glasses of wine and glow-tinis and some such and not have to drive back...  The cabs were way less than a rental would have been..

Hi everyone!
Just got home from the hayride. i skipped the corn maze!
I just found out theres a free country concert on the military base monday so i am goinig with my brother's girlfriends family so imi pretty excited!
Sounds like fun Jen...:dance3:

Well, I still haven't seen the movie. Still cleaning. Finished the family room, living room, my bedroom is 3/4 done, the dining room needs the floor waxed, the steps all need scrubed, the laundry room is done, my office hasn't been touched and the kitchen is 3/4 done. Tomorrow we have someone coming to help with the lawn.:dance3: :dance3: I sure hope it is dry enough to mow. If not, we'll just have to rake leaves and edge it.

The closets are all done!!!:yay: :yay: :yay: That was the biggest thing to do. We have our clothes seperated into consign, trash, donate. That took the longest time. :goodvibes

I still have one suitcase left to unpack. I put all of my dirty clothes into the small bag, and all of my laundry is done, but the big suitcase is still sitting here. Getting sick has surely gotten me off my game.

Well, I think it is time for bed. Nite DDA.

Steffy,

I'm impressed by how much someone who is "off her game" was able to accomplish!! I hope your feeling much better soon.

Good Morning DDA,

I have a "date" with Brandon this morning to paint my driveway. I found several crayola sidewalk chalk and paint kits on clearance and we are supposed to paint Spongebob this morning.

Heidi - I found some Honey Crisp apples at Choice yesterday, and since Fuji's are my favorite I thought I would try these, at $3.00 for two apples I certainly hope they are good. :scared1:

My DD and I went to see "Why did I get Married" yesterday, I laughed, I cried, it was definitely a good chick flick.

Janet - In case I forget to mention it later, have a wonderful time in Vegas, I think I would enjoy it more if I didn't have such an issue with smoke, I simply can't do the Casino's in the evening. Make sure you check out the fountains at Bellagio, and if you go the was museum make sure you go through the haunted portion.

Hope eveyone has a good day.

Speaking of AKL, for those of you that have stayed there......did it seem "far out"? As in far away from all the parks, and a long bus ride to get anywhere. I overheard someone complaining about it when we were down there.

Neither Bob or I felt this way about the bus rides. It seemed as if all the rides were a little longer this trip for some reason. Maybe all the road and route changes have something to do with that. But we honestly never felt like the bus ride from AKL was difficult.

In fact, the only transportation issue we encountered on this trip was from BC to MK. We waited for 35 minutes one morning and I finally approached a group of Cast Members who were having an impromptu meeting near the "seam" between the YC and the BC. When I told them that there had been five DAK busses and none for MK or Epcot, one CM got on a walkie-talkie and called someone. We had a bus within 5 minutes and an apology.

Oh. On our only flight with them, the flight attendants didn't shut up, they made corny jokes, sang songs (no joke) .... it got under my skin so bad, and that of my entire (much more laid back than I) family.

I thought it was just a bad group, but I heard several times on that flight and since then that southwest was "known for" it's humor. Who knows!

I know that in the beginning of SWA's foray into business that was a trademark. I think that many flight crews who have been together a long time still do a lot of the fooling around. But the last couple of times we have flown them with a younger crew I noticed less of the banter you are talking about.

Oh, you just wait until you have a baby!:rotfl2: (Still thinking sticky thoughts for you, by the way. Glue, Band Aids, Scotch Tape...) Little ones exist to remind us that we really control NOTHING. It is all an illusion!

I am too lazy to rent a car. Seems like a pain in the tushy to me. And I don't want to have to drive anywhere when I am on vacation. I actually like the Disney buses, I just didn't like the way the transportation was at WL. From now on I'll stick to AKL and Pop where they have dedicated buses.

I think I have finally convinced Bob that renting a car is ridiculous for us too. He has always wanted the luxury of having that car so he can run out and get something if we need it. Well, our inexpensive car rental this trip turned into a big expenditure which I am going to try to do something about today.

We have rented from National/Alamo almost exclusively at WDW and many other places. Never, until this trip did they charge us for a second driver. I questioned the agent about a policy change quite vocally (until Bob asked me to stop :upsidedow ) and she insisted that it was not new. But, I have my previous contracts and it has never been on there before. That was $10 a day extra! Plus, Bob insisted that we valet park which was another $10 a day. Plus the tipping. Although it was nice to be able to drive to the Grand for tea and the WL for dinner at Artist Point, I would have preferred saving the additional $150 to PAY for the dinner!

This bingo was at our development club house, so only people who live here could play. Well there was only 17 people. I one twice, my mom 4 times, my sister 5 times.

Cool! What did you win?

We have never even talked about renting a car at WDW. We took a cab from WL to GF for dinner and it was $5. In the past we have done a cab from YC to Pop and AKL to Pop and neither one was very expensive. The only HUGE irritations were going to MK for an 8 AM breakfast and to DTD. I blame those issues entirely on WL transportation. I guess if we ever decide to see anything off Disney property we might get a car, but that would be the only reason.

Aidan Update...

October 28, 2007 at 07:44 AM CDT
Well it's been a few days and things are going fairly smoothly. We have had a few bumps, but are performing well. It seems Aidan is back to his old set of tricks holding his breath and making us react quickly to low Oxygen settings. However, Naomi and I have taken charge of this and educated our nurses to be looking for this and be prepaired.

I have to admit, the first time you bag your own child without the hospital setting around is quite frightening. We were taught well however so all has gone well.

I think the change of environment has been interesting for him, but he's getting use to it. I hope.

The family is enjoying the opportunity to spend time with him and now we just work at getting him aculumated to his surrondings.

Morning DDA!

Quick question: our church is have a Silent "Pound" Auction for Salvation Army. I need one pound of something to wrap. Anyone have any unique, different ideas on what I can do???

That's actually a decent price, unfortunately! :faint: Ours are typically $2.79/lb, and each apple weighs about 3/4lb. Have you tried them yet?

Have fun "painting" your driveway!

I'm lost. Do you know what's in the package when you bid on it? Like a pound of cookies or fudge? I am still on my first cup of coffee. Hey! Coffee comes in pounds!

I meant to tell you, Debbie, that Momboss had these on the list on Friday and I bought some at Whole Foods. ($2.99/lb. - I forgot to leave the receipt at work.) I sliced one up last night and DS, Princess and I shared it. It was YUMMY! It makes me nervous to give apples to Princess because she doesn't have that many teeth, but she did fine with it. Enjoy your day with Brandon!!:)

Pennies? gourmet coffee? gourmet candy?

I managed to go online yesterday and complete the enrollment for vision coverage in 2008. Pretty simple. Then I went to another website to enroll in life insurance for DH & me. NOT simple. In fact, HUGE pain in the tushy. I had to fill out all this info and THEN it said spouses have to print the forms and send them snail mail to be reviewed.:headache: The life insurance we have now is "term" with State Farm that I think expires in February. We don't want to renew it because we want to switch to the plan through Frito Lay. At this rate it will BE February before we finish trying to apply!

I was able to do all of DH's stuff online but it wanted the PRECISE date of his last Dr. visit and he has NO CLUE when that was.:sad2: I guess we'll see what happens. I don't know how long it takes or how they contact us or anything! I still have to sort through the 8 pages of crap that mine printed out so I can determine where to sign and where to send it and blah blah blah. It almost makes me want to keep my insurance with State Farm! The rates aren't that different, but I imagine the rates ont he State Farm policy will go up if I renew since I am 10 years older than when we took the policy out.

I also went online to try to determine how much credit we have in that Medical Expense Account for 2008 and I can't make heads or tails out of it.:confused3 I guess we'll be surprised!:rotfl:

I just ordered and had my ornament exchange shipped. Only problem is... there was no way to let the person know who sent it! So, I will also send a card to my ornament buddy to let him/her know who is sending the package! I couldn't think of another way to handle it.
