Email update from Denise, 2:43 p.m.

We just saw the surgeon. Rees is being discharged today, but will be readmitted next Thursday for major surgery.

So the good news is we now have a plan and get to go home for Halloween. We will just try to hang in there until next Thursday.

So..........it hasn't rained in something like 5 months. Why does Mother Nature feel the need to make up for it with rain for 3 solid days in a row, plus a 4th tomorrow!?!? And I can say with confidence that people have forgotten how to drive in the rain.

I showed DS the Crocs backpack and he wants it for himself. Darn.

IF the school district continues to have Fair Day it is possible that I could bring DS to WDW for a weekend next October, but we have that pesky issue of the APs being expired. If I plan for it then I can watch airfare. We'll see.

I hope the surgery is successful and that Rees has an easy recovery!

Becky, you are a better woman than I! There is NOTHING that could convince me to go camping in the rain. I can think of very few things that sound more unpleasant! I hope you manage to stay dry!

Tammi, I can sympathize with the weather. We were about 14" low for the summer, and it has only stopped raining for about 6 hours this entire week! And we have the same drivers in Ohio, for sure!

Today has been a wonky day. First I was up early then the whole rain issue for tomorrow's party. I managed to get the pizza party scheduled and contacted all the parents with the new venue. Between my Mother and I we have found paper chef hats (the sailer style) and canvas aprons. I have fabric markers so they can decorate the aprons in the down time. Then I went to work, but we ended up over staffed so I volunteered to come home since I'm on the next 3 nights anyway. I go to pick up the boys and am reminded that tonight is Pumpkin in the Park which is the town's Halloween Party and the kids want to go. So I guess that we are off to that then I can throw together party favors. I guess some days nothing goes as planned.

well Virginia's weight is the same as it was wed. Her jaundice number is higher but it is right at the end of the low intermediate zone. we go sun. morning for a weight check and another jaundice level blood draw.
