LOL, just to confirm that the Queen knows all! I'm so tempted to go to one of the 3-D ultrasound places. I'm going to go crazy waiting for April 18th!

I remember not sleeping at all the night before we had ours.... DH cried like a little girl when he said we were having a boy!! I had 3 more ultrasounds after that one for various reasons and every time DH asked, "Is it still a boy?" and finally the U/S tech said, "Unless "it" falls off, you're definitely having a boy!!!!" :rotfl:

I've just been emailed a link to a survey about coke v pepsi - where you can claim $100 of your favourite drink - or restaurant vouchers. The link is http://nationalsurveypanel.com/rd_p?p=106217&c=11973-cokevspepsi_emc_d30rev&a=CD1159&em= Might be worth a look...

ETA - I went through it and it's for US residents only. You don't tell them anything about fizzy drinks, but they offer you lots of stuff - which you can say no to - then you have to take an offer from the last page - one of which is some disney books for $4 https://adshomeclubs.scholastic.com...m=380392&promocode=adt2&key=3MRU&template=udl once you've bought something they send your $100 gift card...

The saddest part of my job is putting together funerals and funeral bulletins. :guilty: The lady who was in the hospital last week...lost her valiant struggle and passed away on Friday afternoon. She was a fount of information on most of the people in the congregation and she will be missed!! Her husband has been an amazing caretaker...and he thinks he let her down somehow  .
Any way ever since having Cassidy I have been a crier!!! I suspect the tear ducts will get a workout this afternoon....the memorial is this afternoon...it is one of those we close the office down so all can attend and as a sign of respect.

 Whew!! I kept reading and reading and was hoping NOT to find a post from Amy saying they are home till tomorrow!!! We got snowed in at WDW during our 2000 trip when OHare got 14 inches of snow the day we were due to leave. We were stuck for 2 more days!!!!!!!

That's the end I could handle being stuck on!!!! The first year we went to Florida, we drove to Chicago to fly out of O'Hare. The day we were to leave we got a major dump of snow here in Iron Mountain. We got stuck trying to get out of our driveway!!! It took us almost an hour to dig ourselves out. We did get out and we did make it to Chicago (we went down the night before for an early am flight). Luckily, the weather was fine about an hour south of here so the rest of the trip was uneventful.

Booooooooo

I'm here - for a couple of minutes anyway.

We just got the most gorgeous postcard in the mail!! If you hold it one way, Tinkerbelle is to the left of the castle - if you hold it slightly angled Tinkerbelle is on the right of the castle! It is just beautiful! And thank you Vicki for sending it to us! It was so nice to get a postcard when you don't expect one - brings a little Disney Magic into a cold day.

Before I forget:

Happy Birthday Leslie and Mary!

Happy Birthday Denise!!!

Wish I had a peice of the carrot cake right about now. That's one of my favorites!

Hope all the rest of you are doing well. Later!

Good afternoon everyone! I just got back from my latest Dr. appointment. He was able to hear the heartbeat with the Doppler this time :) . For about 3 seconds I was hoping he couldn't find it so he'd send me for another ultrasound (have I mentioned I'm dying to find out what we're having) but I was so relieved to hear that heartbeat.

My 20 week ultrasound is scheduled for April 18 so hopefully it will cooperate and we'll find out then.

Everything else looked fine! He also told me I can pick any day within the week before my due date to schedule the c-section. Hopefully I'll be able to get Christopher's school calendar and work around that a little.

I'm off to catch up on the latest posts.
Hi Dawn. That is wonderful that you heard the heartbeat today! Here's hoping these next few weeks go quickly for you.

Well, this has been quite a morning. I got Katie and Jacob out the door to the bus stop this morning, ran around doing laundry and dishes, and getting the twins dressed. Mondays are the day that I help out at the school doing the take-home reading project. We got there, did our bit, and left as soon as possible. Today is "early out" day, so I had to do all the shopping for the twins 4th birthday before Jacob came home early from kindergarten. We ran to the store, got the stuff for cake and ice cream, Winnie the Pooh burgers, Piglet's potato salad, and Owl's fruit salad, then zipped home. As I'm unloading groceries, I saw the light flashing on the answering machine. Then I heard my cell phone ring. Duh! I'd forgotten to take my cell phone with me.

I answer my cell phone, and it's DH. He tells me the school called him to let him know that Jacob slipped on the way to recess and fell into a brick wall. They told him that he had a gash on his forehead, and someone needed to pick him up right away. So, I buckle the twins back in the van, speed to the school with horrible visions flashing through my mind, and get there in record time. Jacob was sitting in the office, holding a bag of ice on his head. He had a gash about an inch long that was bleeding quite a lot (head wounds, you know?). So, I get him to the car, drop the twins off at my SIL's house, and take Jacob to the hospital. Meanwhile, Jacob is freaking out because he just doesn't want stitches. I didn't dare promise him that he wouldn't get any, because frankly, it looked pretty bad to me. The doctor confirmed what I thought, and I had to hold Jacob down while the dr. gave him 4 shots in his forehead (ouch!), and then 5 stitches. Poor little guy tried so hard to hold still, but he was crying hysterically!

Once it was over, we went to Wendy's for lunch, picked up the twins and came home. Whew! I need a nap. Jacob is white as a sheet, and has a headache from Hades! I'm hoping that the Motrin will kick in and he'll get some relief. Luckily, there was no sign of a concussion!

So, how's your day??????
Poor thing! I hope he's much better today :wizard:

I had to share. I just made a major accomplishment. Some of you will understand and some of you will laugh. I have all of MY clothes ironed. I've even ironed 5 of Chuck's shirts and want to iron 5 more before he gets home. Let me tell you, this is BIG for me!!!!! The only time that my ironing was ever totally done is when my mom came to visit and wanted to help me out. I do NOT like to iron. I told Chuck when we got married that I would not iron for him. If he wanted his shirts ironed, then he would have to iron them himself. I avoid buying clothes that need ironing for this very reason.

I'm trying very hard to make improvements in my life. This is just one of them. It irritated me that when I wanted a nice shirt, I never had one ironed. My upstairs has been organized (and stayed that way) for about 6 months. My laundry gets totally done every week-end and no longer sits in the washer, dryer or on the couch for days! That on top of the 24 pound weight loss and I think I'm becoming my old self!!!

For those of you that know about flylady.net, she was a major influence. I had read and tried to implement her inspiration "Sidetracked Home Executives" by Pam Young & Peggy Jones about 6 years ago as well. I also give credit to a wonderful book written by David Allen called "Getting Things Done". My life was too hectic. I'm a workaholic, the kids were younger & I was a very involved Girl Scout leader.

Of course, my work has suffered. I only work 45-50 hours a week now instead of 60-70! :rotfl: I cut back on my Girl Scout activities and my kids can now take care of themselves (which makes me happy & sad at the same time).

Mind you, I'm a very organized person at work and Girl Scouts. People have ALWAYS complimented me on how together I am in both places. It was only in my personal life that I was a mess. Thanks DDA for being one of the things that has helped me become my old self.

Here's one more I am working on for my inlaws (who are from Germany). It is inspired by Kate's Canada Design.

Here's the VERY preliminary first draft of our graduation announcement. I have a few things in mind I want to tweak and add to it, but you get the idea. It probably goes without saying, but Kate's recent designs (which were influenced by... Kristen's? please correct me if i'm wrong  ) really inspired this. It's so simple, but I kind of like it :goodvibes

He's much better today, thanks. In fact, he's back to his old, bossy self.

J/K. He's doing really well. It's amazing how many people dropped by last night with ice cream and popsicles (lots of people seem to think ice cream works, Kate. You and Nancy are in good company). Word gets around a small town pretty quickly, and everyone looks out for everyone else.

I love Flylady! I've learned so much from her and the "Sidetracked Home Executives" as well. I think I'm going to check out the other book you mention. Congrats on getting back to the old you! It feels good, doesn't it?
