What a great idea! Love the font you chose. Doing great!!!

Okay, I seem to be about 80 pages behind now after being offline Friday, gone Saturday and Sunday and playing catch up yesterday. So....what did I miss? The last I saw Match Day was a success. From there, I'm lost. Though apparently from the message right above where I am typing it is the Leslie and Mary's birthdays so, congraulations, girls! I hope that you have a wonderful day!! Also, from this page, I can see a very cute pic of Julia in her crocs and Clare's BEAUTIFUL thank you card. I hope everyone is doing well!

Oh, I just saw that I missed Denise's brithday, too, soo....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DENISE!!!!

I hope that it was all wonderful!

You've gotten most of it

though we have a few more sick kiddos and DDA'ers

YEA!!!!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

I am finally caught up on this thread!! From when I stopped reading from right before my trip, to present, I had almost 200 pages to read! :faint:

I took some notes here and there, but sorry in advance if I've missed anyone!

First of all, thanks for all those that sent me some PD when I was sick right before our trip. I unfortunately still ran a fever several days in, but finally kicked it about mid-way through. I wish I could be back there!

Marci - thanks for the very sweet offer to help me out with errands. That was so touching!

Tia - I'm glad to see that Phil is getting some help, and hope the new dr. and meds continue to work. :wizard: for all 3 of you!

Deb - I hope Nick is feeling better about school. I don't remember, or maybe I just missed, the resolution of the dancing problem, but I hope all turned out well. Loved your designs for your 2007 trip!

Tammi - I HAVE YOUR ANTENNA TOPPER!! Things have been nuts, but I will do my best to have him bubble-wrapped and in the mail to you by the end of the week!

Becky - :wizard: for you, too, on the job situation. I hope that things can be worked out that you don't have to work so hard! I hope you enjoy your time off.

Kate - the new bag, as well as the new designs you've posted as of late. When you're ready to start selling those bags, PM me, please!

Amy, Kevin, Alyssa, & Matthew - CONGRATS!!!! How very exciting to be welcoming a new baby boy. I know you'll be reading this once you get back, but I hope you guys had an awesome trip, and good luck with the house closing! Cute shirts, too!

Baloo - It was good to see you around, if just for a moment. I hope that some of the famous DDA PD will work its magic for you. :wizard: :wizard:

Denise - I hope you and the kiddos get to feeling better soon, and that you enjoy your b-day. Things looked kind of yucky there for a while for you guys, and it's nice to see some postive things for you. I'll be praying that all goes well with Rees' next assessment on 3/24. Post again the specific prayer you need!

Mac - So glad to see that good news about Mya. That gave me goosebumps. You go, girl! :woohoo:

Marti - Hope that your tests went well this weekend!

Chanon - I was sorry to hear about your grandfather - I hope you and your family are finding comfort in each other and his memory.

kc10family - congrats on DH being promoted, and yea that Bethie is feeling better!

lovesDumbo - I can tell from my notes that you needed prayers, but can't read my writing as to what. You've got them, and God will know where to place them.

Glynis - PD for the school situation; congrats on that OUTSTANDING weight loss, and happy birthday to your baby girls! :bday:

legalslave - so sorry to hear about your DD and DGD's difficulties, but glad to hear that they finally made it! Here's some advance PD for your travels in a few weeks.

Jo - love all that you've done with the house. I wish I could be so decisive (and also, so good at painting). On your way to Georgia, would you stop off and help a girl out? ;)

monicatb - I liked the shirt design you did. I have a niece named Daniella (although she spells it with 2 L's)!

Theresa - such good news about your mom! Keep us posted as to her diagnosis - I hope it's something easily treatable, and that she's on the mend soon!

Clare - I  your wedding announcement. So beautiful. Also saw that you just finished the Time Traveler's Wife - wasn't that an excellent read?! One of my all-time favorites!

Jennifer & Kyle - congrats on getting your 1st choice - and for those DVC discussions!

Dawn - it's good to see you posting again. Yea for hearing the heartbeat!

Vicki - thanks so much for posting our picture. Your comments and those of others made me  . I think it was that "Disney glow", that has since unfortunately faded!

AND THE DDA IS TAKING ON THE WORLD?!?!?!? I would give my eye teeth to join you guys, but unfortunately 5/15 begins my own personal 6 months of H-E-double-hockey-sticks at work, so it's out of the question. You will need to fill us in on all of the details, so we can live vicariously!

Again, my apologies if I missed anyone or anything important. I did read every word!

I've got to go, but will be back later - I don't want to get behind again!

Hi Lindsay!! You are so sweet. Thank you so much for doing that, and believe me, there is no rush in getting it mailed. Had I known this trip was going to be coming up, I could have gotten it myself. Now I will pick up an extra, just in case.

Hello all! Thanks for all the Prayers and PD :goodvibes . My Mom is on the mend and all is back to "normal" again!
Hope I can get caught up and back to posting again. I missed you all!

I second that! I miss all of the guys around here. I did see Mac post on another thread today so I know he is around too.

This is what the previous post referred to. Somehow I guess I didn't hit "quote."

Love that! Perfect for your inlaws.

A whole series would be great for a homemade passport.

Hey, that is a neat idea - passports using this idea!

I had to share. I just made a major accomplishment. Some of you will understand and some of you will laugh. I have all of MY clothes ironed. I've even ironed 5 of Chuck's shirts and want to iron 5 more before he gets home. Let me tell you, this is BIG for me!!!!! The only time that my ironing was ever totally done is when my mom came to visit and wanted to help me out. I do NOT like to iron. I told Chuck when we got married that I would not iron for him. If he wanted his shirts ironed, then he would have to iron them himself. I avoid buying clothes that need ironing for this very reason.

I'm trying very hard to make improvements in my life. This is just one of them. It irritated me that when I wanted a nice shirt, I never had one ironed. My upstairs has been organized (and stayed that way) for about 6 months. My laundry gets totally done every week-end and no longer sits in the washer, dryer or on the couch for days! That on top of the 24 pound weight loss and I think I'm becoming my old self!!!

For those of you that know about flylady.net, she was a major influence. I had read and tried to implement her inspiration "Sidetracked Home Executives" by Pam Young & Peggy Jones about 6 years ago as well. I also give credit to a wonderful book written by David Allen called "Getting Things Done". My life was too hectic. I'm a workaholic, the kids were younger & I was a very involved Girl Scout leader.

Of course, my work has suffered. I only work 45-50 hours a week now instead of 60-70! :rotfl: I cut back on my Girl Scout activities and my kids can now take care of themselves (which makes me happy & sad at the same time).

Mind you, I'm a very organized person at work and Girl Scouts. People have ALWAYS complimented me on how together I am in both places. It was only in my personal life that I was a mess. Thanks DDA for being one of the things that has helped me become my old self.

I just email your post to myself so I can check out those books when I have more time. I feel like I haven't been living up to my potential at all lately. Often feel like I'm failing my kids and wonder why I haven't been fired at work. I really need to get a grip because I certainly can't afford to get fired as the family bread winner.

But I've got to say ironing is not on my list of must dos to feel like I'm living up to my potential.

But I've got to say ironing is not on my list of must dos to feel like I'm living up to my potential.

That is what makes this such a success for me. Ironing is like the lowest thing on my list and I actually did it because the other important things are getting done regularly! I also am softening up my DH for the DVC discussion! :rotfl: I actually ironed every one of his shirts that was in the ironing pile - 20+ - before he got home. Becky and I decided to surprise him. We're waiting for him to notice! Probably won't happen until tomorrow morning when he goes to pick one out for the day.

I highly recommend all three. Let me know what you think. I have read just about every organizational book you can think of. I spent years looking for something that would work for me. The first two are great for home life and the last one is great for work & home. He talks about how we have things coming in so fast with the technology advances and how to keep track of it all.

I spent years feeling I was failing my DH and girls. You just have to keep searching for what works for you. It will happen. Don't give up!!!! Let me know if there is anyway I can help.
