I can't believe you all have a SNOW DAY today!!!!! We have 8 inches on the ground, and still the schools are open. They won't close them here, unless the snow plows can't get through. In the 15 years I've lived here, they've onlly closed the schools once for snow, and even then, as a teacher, I was required to be at the school. What is THAT about? My kids would love a snow day, but I keep telling them it ain't gonna happen!

This is the first snow day this year! How ridiculous is that - spring startes and we get a snow day

I have a snow day too (sort of)!!!

Lol... I really don't remember the last time that happened. In middle school, my school NEVER closed. Ever, regardless of what other schools were doing. My friends from church would call and tease me.

Then in high school, I went to a private school so the policy was not to cancel, and just to go by your district that you live in. Great, just my luck.

And then colleges NEVER close for snow, as a university anyway.

Good thing I have a grad student who probably just didn't want to meet tonight! Unfortunately, nothing too exciting in place of class.... just more studying, since I really DID procrastinate and haven't started studying for my finals tomorrow

But still -- that was an awfully exciting email! I called my mom, who just laughed at me
