Just checking in....

It has been tough here lately....I kept trying to get a hold of Bill's mother, after a day we went over there and found her laying on the bedroom floor. She was in the hospital for a week....she is too far gone cognitively, so we had to put her in a nursing home. We did this on Saturday. I am having terrible guilt feelings. Just going to place gives me a panic attack. We need to clean out her place in the next 3 days whereas all her money will now go to the nursing home. It's a heartbreaking situation.

I haven't made a single t shirt for the trip....but I am looking forward to going.

As I told Deb via PM...her Mickey/Minnie lights are FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is raining here today

I was considering getting out my luggage, I will need to start packing soon! I can't believe that in a little over 2 weeks I will get to meet some of the most wonderful people ever

I just took ours out. Of course the carry ons are looking pretty small, I may need to reconsider just taking carry ons

Wow, when it rains it pours. You guys have had a hard Summer. I pray that things get better I hope that your MIL adjusts well to the nursing home.

Mia is such a sweet kitten, she is sleeping in my arms right now

Well I got up at 6:00 AM CST to check whether we were working today. There was nothing on the official website so I looked in my email and nothing there either. I went back to the official website. Lo & Behold: they have settled it. It kind of irks me that they posted at 7:05 AM EST (most of Michigan time) that we had to be at work at 8:00 AM. I'm glad we have work today but they sure are expecting a lot, aren't they? Less than an hour to prepare & go to work. For me, it wasn't an issue but those with kids, etc. have a lot more to deal with than I do.

This was one of the lead stories on our local news today! Alan was watching with me, and he said, "Doesn't that Pal Mickey lady work for the MI government? Is she going to be ok?" I was impressed that he knew that much about you from my talking. I'm so glad that things are working out! You were tops in my prayers last night!

I'm so sorry about Bill's mom! It's a hard decision to put her in a nursing home. But I think you did the right thing! There comes a time when they just can't take care of themselves any longer. She will get excellent care! It was tough on my mom to put her mother in a nursing home, but she's really glad that we did! So glad, that she and my dad wrote up instructions for us kids to do the same for them when the time comes. They don't want us to feel any guilt about it, and it's so nice to have their blessing! Hopefully, it won't come to that for a long time, but at least they're getting all their ducks in a row!

Do your schools still finish that early? With the new state laws about not starting before the end of August we don't get out until June 4.


She is so sweet! Do you think Virginia will look like Olivia? My sisters look nothing like me.
