Good morning!!!

Yes - ME tags are in the mail for Anne Marie and Janet. Tammi (I'm sorry!) but I'm going to send yours with your documents via DHL when they come in. Unless you REALLY REALLY want them. :teeth:

This is what makes it real for me...seeing these come in the mail with my name on them!

It's currently raining in NE Ohio - looks like it might rain for a while according to the weather guy - actually kind of a nice rain... Mom's here for a day before she leaves tomorrow for NV; she's borrowing my car so I'm hoping she'll go pick up my books from the library for me. (Thanks for the Julie and Julia suggestion!!!) I have one other one on hold, and I forget the name of it already...

She has had a setback with school starting, and is having 2-3 accidents/day.

:wizard: that it stops soon. Did you send extra clothes into school? You can leave some extra clothes with me and I could run them over to the school if necessary. I'm sorry. :(

My kids have opted to do nothing :thumbsup2

My boys do soccar and tennis during the week (one each.) We don't have anything scheduled on the weekends. I don't want to be running around on the weekends. DH barely gets to see them as it is.

I couldn't function without my dry erase 'color coded matrix of life' calendar hanging on my fridge. :rotfl:

:rotfl:

Still no word on the truck :sad2:

:wizard:

Maybe you could have dinner together & then go your separate ways?

I've already made our ADRs and now he's saying that they want to go to the parks with us. Um...that sounds like fun.

okay well since I fell asleep at the computer and just woke up I think I will head to bed.

:lmao:

Good Morning, DDA! :sunny:

You can wait and send everything off at once. :thumbsup2

Thank, Kim. I put extra clothes in her backpack. One day she went through them all and came home wearing funky pants from the nurses office.

Shane did that too once in kindergarten. He came home wearing something weird and not matching. :rotfl2:

Good morning, DDA!

In F'burg. I still have to deal with my two and DH is going out of town from Thursday through Sunday and then again next Saturday and Sunday.

I have heard people say that the difference between 2 kids and 3 isn't that big of a deal. I disagree. Good luck!

Sounds like Mondays will be hectic for a while at your house, Tammi. I hope Alyssa's appt. goes well tomorrow.

Good luck at the Dr! I hope you get into the groove of being busy without too much stress!

I hope you get to feeling better, Deb.

Ah, so the upgrade monster is pursuing you, too! Did you try online? Because I swear the inventory online is COMPLETELY different than the phone inventory.
I hope you feel back to 100% soon!

Hi all caught up finally.

saw the dietician today. I found out that when you count your carbs you can subtract the amount of fiber from the total. I have found a bunch of low carb snacks to try. One being a sugar free strawberry angel food cake. It has 19 carbs but 2 fiber so it is actually 17 carbs. Olivia already had a piece and liked it. For Bedtime snacks I can have 30 carbs so I can have a slice and a small glass of milk.

It sounds like you will be able to handle these last few weeks OK! Hang in there!:wizard:

Poor Alyssa! DS had a bloody nose at school one day. Instead of calling me they put him in some spare shirt from the nurse. Since it's a "mandatory uniform" school it was just another white polo but it felt like it had been drip-dried! Very rough and stiff! I could have brought him a shirt.

My friend seems OK with me switching hotels since he can see that it really has no impact on him whatsoever. It's not like we all hang out together at the hotel. We'll just meet at the gates in the morning. If they aren't at the gate when the park opens they can call me when they get there and I will tell them where we are. That's better than feeling obligated to wait for them if they aren't ready to get on the bus. DS and DH know better than to dawdle when it is time to get on the bus.;)

Swimming lessons today. Ugh!:headache: Chat with you later!

Before we got our 1st cat, Gary was very adamant that he did not like cats, nor did he want us to get one. Guess who loves them just as much now  Actually he was the one saying we needed to get another one & I kept saying no, until my friend showed me a picture of Mia. I knew I just had to add her to our family!

Part of my dislike of cats is that the girls and I are all allergic to them. So I especially don't like the wheezing and watery eyes that I get when a cat is around. ;)

Heidi - Thank you for the moving 9-11 card. And your siggy photo is gorgeous.

Tammi - I like the logo in your siggy. Very appropriate.

Let us all take time to remember today.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Off to exercise and finish my lesson plans before my 10:00 class. Have great morning, everyone!

Elizabeth -- good luck with the meetings with the teachers. I'm sure your DH feels like he's being tortured... Shelton makes sure that homework takes less than an hour each night -- they know kids with learning differences could never sit still for much longer, and they do everything they can to make them feel successful, so no long periods with homework, at least as far as the 5th grade. Next year might be a different story.

Tammi -- hope the appt. for Alyssa goes well!

Lindsay -- I hope you are feeling better.

I was up late last night editing documents, as I had class all day. I did get more good crabcakes at a restaurant in Alexandria and a lot of walking in. It wasn't as hot as in Texas, though I hear it's much cooler than usual there now. It's interesting to see all the extra security in the district today for 9/11.

Have a good day, DDA! :)

:woohoo: :dance3:

We had a nice rain here yesterday & boy has it cooled off! I am not complaining though. Enjoy the day with your mother :goodvibes

Well phooey! Hope you can all figure something out.

Gary rarely writes a check, so maybe someday I will order what I want. Right now I have checks with European images on them. Reminds me of our trip

John lets me order whatever I want. :cool1:

That weather is supposed to be here tomorrow. I can't wait!

Deb, I found your solution for POP's no coffee maker
in the room http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html?asin=B00005MF9CI have an older version of it. Actually i think mine is close to 15 years old now and it's still going strong..I take it when ever we're gonna be in a hotel and i'm not sure if there is a coffee maker in there and when we go camping with my girlfriend, since i'm the only coffee drinker. it takes about 2-5 minutes to brew a cup and you're on your way, you can pick up a second cup to use for brewing or if you already have your resort mugs after one cup is done brewing pour it in there and start the next, or splt the first cup to get your fix :D. I'm not sure if you guys would drink a full pot normally but this is a great little travel companion for those that need their morning coffee to actually wake up ( like me ). I hope you're feeling better before your camping trip this weekend. and I hope the weather holds out for the kids to go trick or treating.
If ya have a free minutes can ya give me a run down of the counting carbs.. I've seriously gotta do something to get back to me pre babies weight.. i've given up on being skinny i've never been skinny in my life but at least back to the weight i was before my angel's destoryed my body lol

Thanks for the coffee idea, but since we're only taking carryons I think it might be a bit much to pack. Chris can pick up a coffee on the run or I'll buy some of those starbucks ice coffees when I pick up water before we check in. He'll survive.

As far as a low carb diet goes this is my take. You can eat meat, eggs, cheese and fish pretty much to your hearts content, but you must give up just about everything else. We bought the Atkins book and followed it. You will find all the various carb values listed there too as you will need them to calculate how many carbs you've eaten. It is definitely a huge lifestyle change. We followed the diet for 4 months and each lost about 50 lbs. There are a couple of noteable drawbacks. First, if you mess up and eat something that you shouldn't it will throw your body out of keytosis (where your body is using your fat supply for energy) and it will take 3 days of proper dieting to get back on track. There is no such thing as a small slip up. Secondly, it is not a diet that you can quit and come back to. We had great success initially, but once we stopped we found that we could not restart it again, the weight just wouldn't move.

What to eat for breakfast besides eggs and one slice of toast and bacon sometimes or one tortilla and eggs with bacon sometimes

We had success finding low carb cereals and breakfast bars. At the time low carb was the thing to do so many companies were offering lots of products. I think that they are harder to find now, buy I know that there are still a couple of brands out there. Most of the bars were pretty tasty and fairly filling.

Heidi - Thank you for the moving 9-11 card. And your siggy photo is gorgeous.

Tammi - I like the logo in your siggy. Very appropriate.

Yes, it was nice to wake up to a beautiful reminder of what our country and it's citizens have endured. I woke up feeling pretty crappy, but once I was reminded of all the hardship that this day stands for I found that I'm not nearly as bad off as I initially thought. United We Stand.

I suspect that I might have a UTI. I had a bit of a rough night. I called my Doctor this morning, but can't get in until tomorrow afternoon. The boys have appointments then too so at least we'll only make one trip. In the meantime I'll drink as much water as humanly possible and see if I can flush it out. I found someone to take my shift tonight so that will give me a little break too. Maybe it's nothing, it's hard to tell, but I know that something is off. The aches and pains are what's throwing me since that usually wouldn't be a UTI.

Now I'm off to play Disney Bingo with Colby. He played one practice game by himself :rotfl:
