What languages did you do at school?

Latin in the eighth grade.

I had a handful of friends in high school for whom english was their parent's second language but their parents purposely did not teach them the family native language just so the parents could have their OWN private language. my friend's efforts to sign up for that language in jr. high and high school were thwarted b/c back then your parents had to sign permission slips to approve all electives.

Took French for one semester and Spanish for the second semester in 7th grade, introduction to foreign language. Picked Spanish, too it for 8th grade and all 4 years of High school. German was an option.
My friend went to a neighboring school in the same school district and he took Esperanto. He was convinced it would become the International Language. 50 years later, English is still the international language.

Four years of French in HS, two years of Spanish in college.
I regret not taking Spanish in HS as it would’ve been more beneficial for my work in healthcare.
