Maria pop in anytime you can!

Theresa :woohoo: for the school band!

Thank you everyone for Gary's birthday wishes & yes we are going out to eat tonight :thumbsup2

Finally received our 1st postcard from Disney with a discount code yesterday. I was so excited when I seen it :yay: Then I looked at who it was addressed to, Gary  Um I am the Disney lover here, I am the one who goes all the time, it should have been in my name  Oh well, we are already going during that time anyway. I just thought it was pretty ironic & funny

I am so excited, I finally made the decision to get new luggage. I have really wanted the Mickey luggage but was just not sure I wanted to spend the $$. I finally justified the $20 per bag and was ready to order it last night. I was checking my email and noticed I had received a new email from Disney.com and it was advising of 20% off items. I went on site and chose the color I wanted (taupe) and put in the code and to my surprise, got the 20% off. So with taxes, shipping and the 20% discount, I got the set for $61.52 :woohoo: :woohoo: :thumbsup2

:cool1: :cool1: New Mickey Luggage. We have the last generation of Mickey Luggage and love it. I think you'll be very happy.

:wave2: everyone.

Mom and Dawn are now completly up here. All that needs to be done is clean the old place and slowly move and empty all the boxes that John and I have been storing.

I'm glad that the move went well. Hopefully the unpacking will go smoothly too.

Bernadette and Gene Hope you had a wonderful Anniversary.

Happy Birthday Gary:bday:

The car show yesterday was kind of fun. Chris always enjoys them, but I was leary of taking the 3 boys who are usually uninterested in cars (at least the older 2). I was very surprised when Nick took a genuine interest and spent a good deal of time looking at them with Chris. Nick carried my digital camera and Hunter had the old one so we made them the official photographers. Hunter woke up with a cold so he wasn't up to par. He rode in his chair and even took a nap. Colby likes to look at the cars and they all behaved so well. Nick took 297 photos :rotfl2: He was looking at the paint details which he referred to as tatoos :lmao: He also took photos of the unique items on the cars. He was all about the details. All 3 boys participated in the games that they have set up for kids. There were 5 games and each were categorized into age groups. I was happy when each of them one a plaque for an event in their age groups. I can't even tell you which event they each won in, but they all got something so all was good. Hunter took a first place, Nick a second place and Cobly a third place. They were happy. We ended the day birthday shopping at Toys R Us. All video games were buy 2 get one free (some were not included online that were in the store). I let them pick out what they wanted, but they will have to wait until their birthdays to get them. There was the cutest american flag swim trunks with Mickey on them and each star was instead a white Mickey head. I so wanted them for Colby but of course the largest size they had was 24 months. He needs a 4t or 5t. They would have been perfect for next years 4th of July as we'll be at WDW. I even tried online with no sucess. Not even on EvilBay.

Today we need to get our house in order then I need to work.

I am feeling much better so hopefully all is on the mend.

We're home! :goodvibes

I'm 55 pages behind, so I'm going to glance around but have no time to read all of that! Anyone care to catch me up?

Bernadette-
Hope your anniversary was great.
Thanks!

So I spent 13 hours with the marching band today. First official competition of the season. The kids took 3rd in 4A in prelims and 8th overall....which gave them a berth in Finals. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: They performed great in finals and moved up a spot in final standings:goodvibes . I didn't agree with the judging for the finals as the top spot (with like a 5 pt difference.....almost unheard of in competition) really just weren't that much better (in fact the director didn't get caught when he made it on to the playing field...a huge no no). I am a little biased because the director is a mean man(personal experience) and we only hear horror stories from the poor kids. (they were on the field at 6 this morning...they share our practice field.....so from 6 to 10 they played nearly non stop).

Our kids kept the stadium in stitches while waiting for the retreat...that's the difference between our school and the school who took the top spot. F U N

Sorry didn't realize I needed to get that off my chest!!
:woohoo:Congrats to the band! FUN is much more important than #1!

Thanks, Bernadette. Yes, I did not use a flash for that picture. I took one with flash and the dino was dark so I turned it off. I don't know about the spot focus that you mention. I think I had mine set for indoor. I see what you mean about part of the dino being in focus. When I take pictures I have these little green squares that come up on the LCD display. I have no idea what they mean. Yes, I am pretty camera illiterate. :sad2:
Maybe you need a camera with a stronger flash. My flash is very strong but then the problem is that it take forever to recharge.

I love that photo! It really portrays the fun atmosphere at Pop! I have Tyler's site bookmarked. I'll have to show Joe all the photos again so he can get excited about staying there in January. Lizzy has already been to Pop but Joe hasn't.

That is is but mine is black. The differences between the H2 & H5 are pretty minor. I didn't really realize it when I bought mine so if you can find a good deal on the H2 you may want to go with that.

I only get them in Terry's name. AND....that one night at POR I think was the only time she was in a Disney resort without being in my room. I tried to get her a deal on a room for our November trip but the only thing they had at Pop was full price prefered. She'll just stay offsite.

:woohoo: Congrats to the boys. Sounds like you have a real budding photographer there!

Was the swim suit at ToysRUs? They've closed most of them around us but I think there is one by my sister. I may have to go there if all the video games are buy 2 get 1 free.

We went out to dinner last night. Something we never do (except at WDW). We had a nice meal but too much food. I must have eaten too much or something didn't agree with me because I felt lousy when we got home. I couldn't sleep so I'm pretty tired today. I've got to bring Lizzy to the Mother/Daughter Tea this afternoon.

I don't know if I'll get back on to work on my trip report. I have it in Word but have to add the photos.

Hope everyone has a nice Sunday!

Thanks!

The video games and the bathing suit were at Toys R us. They had a good selection of video games. Maybe you'll have luck with the swim suit. I'd gladly pay the cost and shipping if anyone can find one in a 4T or 5.

Deb - The car show sounds like fun! Glad each of the boys brought home a prize!:) I don't make it to Toys R Us very often, but if I happen to stop in I'll look for the trunks. I'm glad you are feeling better!

Jennifer - Welcome home! I hope you guys had a magical trip!:goodvibes

Bernadette - Now DH says he doesn't want a new camera.:headache: If he wanted one like your I would buy it RIGHT NOW. But whatever. This must mean he wants some other ridiculously expensive thing, and I bet it is related to hunting. Have I mentioned that he has never successfully hunted ANYTHING?

i was going to come up date ya'll on my grandmother but had to check on my mom first. :lmao: my mom and dad were watching a show on bbc (some car show) and mom was talking to my brother on the phone and something on the show started her laughing hysterically. she had to hand the phone to my dad while she calmed down. i was kinda afraid she was gonna stop breathing because she was laughing so hard. shes ok now though. ok on to my grandmother; they are releasing her from the hospital today. i think my aunt will come down and stay with her today or tomorrow. i dont think they did a colonscopy. hopefully someone with a medical background might know this answer because my grandmother said they had a catheder in her uterus(we have never heard of that) but she didnt say why.

yesterday i found a website called doggyspaces.com its like myspace for dogs. i made a page for shocker hee hee. i know i am crazy. its www.doggyspaces.com/shocker/ if you wanna visit it.

He caught you, didn't he?? :rotfl:

But I know if a true hunter read that he would say you don't 'catch' anything while you are hunting.

Hmm. I was the one who was "hunting" in that scenario. His divorce was barely final when we first met - I don't think he planned to hunt OR catch another wife!:rotfl2: My goal was to hunt, catch, and marry.;)

Ok everyone! We are down to two dresses for the girls in the wedding. Here they are in both...let me know which you like better!
Dress One:

Dress Two:

IMG_1902.jpg

They both like and feel comfortable in both of them; so it looks like it's up to me. And dress 1 flares just like the second one - I think it's the way they were standing that it doesn't look as full at the bottom. No idea why the one didn't upload the whole way.

Good morning!

Hi Elin. What have you been doing with Bob gone?

Well, yesterday I did some grocery shopping and weeded my little garden and went shopping. I also gave myself a manicure and pedicure! Then Kathrin called and asked if I wanted to meet her and Kristin today at Short Pump Center in Richmond for a day of shopping and lunch. After much deliberation and sacrifice on my part I decided to head on down. ;)

I have gotten a couple pair of really nice plaid or striped bermudas and gauchos in the past few days and I have lots of tops to stretch my work and casual wardrobe through the rest of the fall now, I think. Today I got a pair of Mary Jane crocs in brown and two very good cardigans to wear with my remaning pair of black dress pants and skirt.

Then I went to Coldwater Creek. Let me warn you... they have changed their sizing and I had a horrible time until one of the clerks there explained that to me. I could not, for the life of me, figure out why I needed a larger sized pant! Turns out, everyone does. :confused3 Let me say, although I really enjoy being able to say I can wear a misses sized pant I am not hung up on sizes so it does not bother me that I needed to go back up a size. It just took me about 45 minutes to get it right! Then I decided not to buy any more pants or skirts anyway! I ended up buying two tops to go with my ubiquitous black and brown slacks/skirts/gauchos so I ought to be able to dress up for concerts and recitals for the next few months too.

What did you and the kids do today?
