Finally received our 1st postcard from Disney with a discount code yesterday. I was so excited when I seen it :yay: Then I looked at who it was addressed to, Gary  Um I am the Disney lover here, I am the one who goes all the time, it should have been in my name  Oh well, we are already going during that time anyway. I just thought it was pretty ironic & funny

The last postcard offer we got here at this house was addressed to Kathrin's old boyfriend! :rotfl:

The car show yesterday was kind of fun.

I am feeling much better so hopefully all is on the mend.

Glad you all had a good time yesterday, Deb. And even happier that you are feeling somewhat better!

Chanon - I like Dress #1, BUT I think that dress #2 is more flattering to both figure types. But if the girls feel good in both of them, then they ought to pick!

Bob is home from PA, but he was not able to bring his Mom home from the hospital. For some reason fecal matter (sorry for being so graphic) is not going into the colostomy bag so that is a problem.

I did a couple of semi-productive things today. I cleaned out the cabinet where I have all of our seasonal decorations, extra tablecloths, and lots of junk. I threw out lots of old bottles of bubbles, some old Easter egg dye, and I rearranged the rest of the mess. I washed the throw blankets from the couch. I went through DS's winter clothes. I went to the grocery store. I keep saying I am going to go to the store on Sunday and buy enough stuff for dinners the whole week, but I am usually too lazy to go to the store. I just realized I may be working late Mon & Tues night and I am babysitting for another family on Thursday. All these good dinners and I will miss them!:scared1: Of course DH will stick a plate in the fridge for me, but still.

I think that's part of the problem! They both like both, but neither of them want to pick in fear of hurting the others feelings. I think both like opposite ones...I'll pick if I have to but I'd rather have them pick.
It also seems that family likes #2; friends and husbands like #1. :teeth: Go figure!

I am sorry Elin, hope they can correct the problem.:wizard:

DH & I both think that Dress #1 is more flattering for both girls.

Well, yesterday I did some grocery shopping and weeded my little garden and went shopping. I also gave myself a manicure and pedicure! Then Kathrin called and asked if I wanted to meet her and Kristin today at Short Pump Center in Richmond for a day of shopping and lunch. After much deliberation and sacrifice on my part I decided to head on down. ;)

I have gotten a couple pair of really nice plaid or striped bermudas and gauchos in the past few days and I have lots of tops to stretch my work and casual wardrobe through the rest of the fall now, I think. Today I got a pair of Mary Jane crocs in brown and two very good cardigans to wear with my remaning pair of black dress pants and skirt.

Then I went to Coldwater Creek. Let me warn you... they have changed their sizing and I had a horrible time until one of the clerks there explained that to me. I could not, for the life of me, figure out why I needed a larger sized pant! Turns out, everyone does. :confused3 Let me say, although I really enjoy being able to say I can wear a misses sized pant I am not hung up on sizes so it does not bother me that I needed to go back up a size. It just took me about 45 minutes to get it right! Then I decided not to buy any more pants or skirts anyway! I ended up buying two tops to go with my ubiquitous black and brown slacks/skirts/gauchos so I ought to be able to dress up for concerts and recitals for the next few months too.

What did you and the kids do today?
Wow, sounds like an exhausting day.

We went to church, came home for a quick lunch, and then Nicholas had a soccer game at 1:30. They are now 3-1-1. We came home and Bob stayed with Nicholas and his dd while I took Alyssa to get her hair trimmed and grocery shopped. It took me forever to get through Giant. I swear every time I turned down and aisle I bumped into someone I knew and ended up talking for 10 minutes at a time. After we got out of there it was home to cook dinner, which was meatloaf, potatos, broccoli and salad. It was so nice this evening that we ate out on the screened porch. Then the kids played in the backyard while we did dishes. Happy autumn!!!

Is that going to be an easy fix or do they not know what's causing it?

Chanon- another vote for #1

Tammi and Elin-it sounds like busy but wonderful weekends.

Hi Penny!! I thought you might have popped on while I was out of town, but it looks like tonight is your first post in a while. I hope you have been well! :goodvibes

Thankfully Terry was feeling much better in the morning. We made it to the Magic Kingdom by 8:30 for LOEMH. We managed to ride all the Fantasy Land rides with little wait. My kids wanted to ride Pirates again but Halley didn’t so they went to ride Aladdin’s Flying Carpets. We met back up with Terry, Halley and Terry’s friend Martha (who works at both MGM and Universal) at the CP for breakfast. We had remembered to bring the drawings Lizzy made at the airport for the characters. The characters all made a huge deal out of them as did the character “handler.” I was worried how Lizzy would feel about the characters since she had recently figured out that they were just people in costumes but she seemed to forget that as soon as she saw them-well actually even before she saw them as she was drawing these pictures at the airport.

After breakfast we got fast passes for Buzz. Joe really wanted to see the Carousel of Progress but Emma didn’t so I took her on the TTA. I really enjoy that slow peaceful ride. When we went through Space Mountain it was down and the lights were on so we got a rare glimpse at the track. When we met up with the others they wanted to ride the TTA so Emma & I got a 2nd ride. This time I rode sitting forward and of all the times I’ve been on that ride I have never ridden sitting that way. My friend that usually goes with us gets motion sick sitting backward. I was really enjoying this different perspective and I got a great shot of the castle that I generally don’t even see riding backward. After we got off the TTA it was time for Buzz and the “mandatory” jail with Zurge photo. I think we did the new Monsters Inc Laugh Factory-similar to Crush with audience interaction but for some reason I don’t like it as much but the kids enjoyed it.

It was really, really, really HOT, HOT, HOT that day and the kids were dying to get back to the pool. We had a few photopass pictures taken on the way out. This was another great photographer. He wanted us to do a “cheer” type photo but Joe wanted no part of that. That didn’t stop this guy-especially since Joe had on his Philharmagic T. Then the guy made sure to get a shot of Joe’s face too. After the pictures Gene & Terry took the kids back to swim while I went to check on the photopass photos at the camera store. Elizabeth & I had stopped at the camera store in MGM and I wanted to be sure that all the photos were really there and I wanted to see a few too. I was anxious to see some of those Stitch photos. On the way out of Magic Kingdom I had to wait a while for someone talking on her cell phone to move but got a great shot of the train station. And if I hadn’t waited I wouldn’t have had the train in the photo so I guess it worked out great.

I tried to find a shortcut back to my room at the resort but just ended up getting lost. The kids were already in the pool when I got back so I took a few pool photos before heading back to the room to change. Just as I was about to get in my swim suit Gene brought Emma back to the room. She was hungry. So I gave her a quick bath and snack. Terry and Halley came back to the room to change while Gene, Joe & Lizzy kept swimming-they had already said goodbye to them. Emma & I bid farewell to Terry & Halley who had a 3+ hour drive home. After Gene, Joe & Lizzy showered we got dinner at the food court but brought it back to the room. The made to order pasta Gene & I had was great and we easily could have shared as the portion was huge but Emma wouldn’t touch the “healthy” spaghetti. Another early night gave me hope for an early start the next day.
