I guess they are doing chicken pox boosters now before the kids start school. DS had a vaccine at 15 mos, then in 2nd grade he came down with actual pox on Easter Sunday. The Dr. was going to give him a booster this year but then said he didn't need it since he had actual pox. In a school of 900 kids he was the only one who had them. I had to fill out a big packet from the Health Dept. with questions like "Where did your child contract the virus?" Gee, since they are contagious BEFORE the rash comes out how on earth would I know where he caught them?

I know where Cassidy did.....at the pool. She popped out with them the day before she was supposed to get the first shot:rotfl:

We did have a very relaxing day, and the weather was not really too hot. It got a little muggy down along the canal and the river, but overall, very pleasant for the beginning of September in the South!

And I am loving my new camera, yes. Still occasionally get some lousy pictures because I push the wrong button or something asinine like that! But, overall, I am very pleased. ;)

Don't you love the silly health departments.;) :sad2:

There was an outbreak of them at Lizzy & Joe's school last year. They both had 5th's disease (self diagnosed via internet ;) ) at the time and were home from school so they never did get the "real" thing.

People clean ceilings?:confused3

:rotfl:

:lmao: That was exactly what I was thinking. I'm happy if I can clean the floors. Who has time for ceilings.:rotfl:

Elizabeth how do you get the online book. That would be better I think. Since I am hoping FIL will give us season passes to Sea world for Christmas.

I'm not exactly sure. Ours was a freebie from our credit card company. There was a little insert in our statement with a code for a free year. That was back before my old computer crashed so I don't even know if I still have any of the info.:confused3

Does someone have the latest itinerary that they can email me?
Do you still need it, Vicki?

Welcome Home Anne Marie,

Love the pictures, can't wait to see more!

By this time tomorrow we should be at POP! Brandon is really getting excited now, about riding the plane that is! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Work took two hours longer than I had planned but I only have to do a couple of small last minute loads of laundry, and pack our morning toiletries after we use them, and then we are off!

Take care of yourselves and be ready to give a recap,

Debbie
Have a wonderful trip, Debbie!!

What did you do?
We hiked to the top of Old Rag Mountain in the Shenandoah National Park. 8 miles. My legs are so sore, but the day was wonderful and the views were worth it. The summit is 3291 ft. I forgot to take my camera :sad1: but if you do a google image search you can see some amazing pictures.

I had another long quote that addressed several people, but my computer decided to eat it. Let's see what I can remember:

Tom - the dress is spectacular!!

Robyn - I did get my pedicure. I could use another foot massage right about now though.

Kim - Did you hear anything about the yard sale?

What a great day!!:goodvibes

I had a "cookout" although I really didn't cook much. I put a couple of burgers on the grill and then picked up a half bussel of the worlds largest hard shell crabs. Yum!!! Fresh silver queen corn. Sweet. Home grown tomatoes, potato salad. I made non-alcoholic strawberry daquiris. My son and his family, my daughter's family and a couple of good friends rounded out the guest list. What a wonderful day.:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

The only downside is that I am waiting for the Maytag repairman to stop fixing the machines that make toys and helping people install their cable and fix my washer!! No :laundy: :laundy: for me until Thursday. My poor DD had to go to the laundramat so we would have clean towels.:laundy:

Oh, and the best for last, my littlest grandson called me ga ma!!!!

Have a good night everyone. I'm beat and need to sleep.

I guess I will post on the Budget board and see if anyone knows how to get one.

It IS gorgeous up there! And I bet the view was super today sinc eI doubt there was much smog/smoke/haze to obstruct. What a lovely thing to do, but I bet you are tired. That is a pretty good hike!

Here are a couple of pictrues from the Internet...

Chris and I fly in on Friday. I think we're going to do AK straight from the airport. We really are only interested in Everest and the Safari. From there we will either do Epcot or MK. Maybe Pleasure Island much later in the evening.

Chuck wants to do Pleasure Island during this trip.

and I am now headed to bed too. See you all in the morning! Good night, DDA!
