Well im back from graduatino practice!!! I cant believe im graduating in TWO days!!! I had a good time with the girls and we went to get lunch..i stopped and got 2 dvds (because i said so and catch & release)...so im going to clean a bit then relax and watch a movie

Theresa - Yay for spending the night in your own house!!! So sorry you had a monster migraine! No fun at all!!!! Tell Jim that the DDA wishes him a happy 40th!

Elizabeth - I'm so sorry to hear about the kitty! I'll be sending good thoughts, that something good will happen soon! Both the new job prospects sound good, but especially the second one! Fingers are crossed that all will go well and that you will finally have your roly poly baby!!! By the way, I don't think I ever said congrats to your DS on passing his testing!!!! That's so cool. My kids are taking the testing the rest of this week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for my kidlets.

Lindsay - I hope that this summer is not as hectic as last summer! Thank heaven you got to go to Hawaii to kind of gear up for it, huh?

Stephanie - I'm sending lots of pixie dust that things go ok for you for the next little while! I'm so sorry for your co-worker. We're going through the same stuff with my grandmother, and it's no fun!

Marci - Congrats to your sons on their games. Sounds like they are doing ok.

I'm spending some time today uploading my tshirt photos to photobucket so you all can see how they turned out. I finished making the water bottle straps, and the kids are really excited about them. I am too, since it means I don't have to carry 6 water bottles all around DL! I'll post pictures of them, too!

Elizabeth, :(
Maybe your Dh is right and just forget about that kitty and find another.

:yay: on two different job prospects.

Theresa, sorry you had such a bad migrain. :woohoo: for staying in your own house.

:bday: Happy 40th Jim :cake:

Elizabeth :cool1: on the new job prospects! Sorry to hear about the kitten, I hope all turns out well :wizard:

Theresa I am so happy to hear you are in your new home now :woohoo: Tell Jim HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Glynis I look forward to seeing your t-shirts!

Sorry if I have missed anyone, :wizard: & to all

I just feel blah today & I don't feel like doing a darn thing. I have a roast in the slow cooker & that is about all I have done today. Guess this is called being lazy lol

I'm trying to read along although I don't have time to post much. I've turned over a new leaf and I'm going to get my house in shape if it kills me. That means a lot less computer time for me. So it finally sunk in that THIS is teacher appreciation week. I saw a neat idea on the budget board yesterday and I think I'll add a bit to it. The concept was to give basic items such as candy with a note attached to each.

Smarties for Sharing your Brilliance with us
Snickers for your sense of humor
Extra (gum) for all the Extra things you do
Lifesavers for keep us safe
100 Grand bar because your worth it
Carefree (gum) You deserve a carefree weekend
Sunflower seeds for planting the seed of knowledge within us
Banana because sometimes we drive you bananas
Orange you glad I appreciate you
hugs and kisses because you deserve them
brownies because I can use all the brownie points that I can get

You get the idea. Can anyone think of any obvious ones that I'm missing? I'll run out while Colby is at school tomorrow and get the items as I've been called into work tonight. I'll have to make the tags when I get home tonight.

Love that idea!!

One step up, 2 steps back.:guilty:

The foster just called to tell me 2 of the other kitties she was fostering died yesterday. Our kitty now has to be in quarantine because she may be infected with whatever killed the other 2. The 2 that died were part of a litter of 5. 4 of them were in one cage, and the 5th one was in a cage with our kitty on Saturday.:sad1: Good thoughts for our kitty and the remaining littermates, please!

DH is not at all pleased with this, and neither am I. If this virus is something that the cats can not be vaccinated for then we can't risk exposing Aurora. DH said he is ready to tell them to just forget it - we'll go find a kitty somewhere else!:sad2:

Oh, that is so sad. :sad1: Maybe this little kitty just wasn't meant to be - I certainly feel for that foster mom, having to see 2 kitties die. I would be a basket case.

The 2 days will definitely go by fast. Enjoy your movies!

Can't wait to see them - your trip is getting close!

I just feel blah today & I don't feel like doing a darn thing. I have a roast in the slow cooker & that is about all I have done today. Guess this is called being lazy lol

Sorry that you feel blah, but you could probably use the rest after your day yesterday!

Ok, here are the shirts. Feel free to pass this post, if you want. There are a lot of shirts! I didn't post all of them, since a lot of them are the same design, just different names.

Here we go:

These are for my brothers 3 kids. They were designed by Kristen (Cinderumbrella)

Very cute and creative! I'll let you know if I think of anything else!

They came out very well! Those designs by Kristin are very cute. :goodvibes

More shirts!

Deb designed these shirts for Leslie and Katie. I'm only showing you one, since they're the same except for the name.

Deb also designed a Cars design for Mary and Jacob, but I didn't take pictures of them. I'll take care of that and post them later.

Here are the name shirts that Kate designed. There are 11 of them in all.

Well, I left a message for the foster but I haven't heard back from her, so I have no idea if I will be able to get the kitty or if I will have to send DH to get her. I have to pick up Brother at 12:30.

I got a call from a mom about a job that sounds really good IF their current nanny leaves. They have had the same lady for 6 years, but she (the nanny) is having her 4th child and wants to cut back her hours. I can not even imagine having 4 kids and still trying to be a nanny. But that's just me. So I sent the mom my resume and she is going to chat with her current nanny and see what conclusion they come to. The mom said she is going to tell the nanny that she can only stay if she agrees to keep working the same hours. So we'll see. The family has 3 little ones. 2 are the same ages as Brother & Sister, and they also have a baby. Sounds good, but I worry about going into a job where the current nanny doesn't want to leave. She could change her mind 15 times between now and the time her baby is born, and I need to know with 100% certainty what the situation is.

DH called and said his supervisor has "a proposal" for him. It won't be good, I bet! DH thinks they are going to add another store to his route. Since they closed one he has just had 2 stores for the past 6 weeks or so. Can't wait to hear what sort of "proposal" it is!
I cannot imagine having 4 of my own children and still taking care of 3 that aren't mine! :scared1: She must be a saint. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Would this mean more money for you, since you would have 3 kids as opposed to 2?

The last pictures.

Another Kate design. I was just going to do this design for my kids, but all the nieces and nephews saw it and wanted it, so I did 11 of them.

you guys are all too sweet--you have made my day!!

Wow! I just got another call from a mom. This one is expecting her first baby Sept. 4. Can we all say "dream job"? The problem is that she doesn't need a nanny to start until October, which would mean a month of unemployment for me.:scared1: She did say that if we determine that it would be the perfect fit then they might consider keeping me on retainer for the first month. I sent her my resume, so now I am waiting to hear back from 2 families.

This all came about because of a mom I know from Little Gym. Her DD was in a class with Brother awhile back, and now we bump into each other ALL the time around town. I told her my job is ending and she sent out an e-mail for me, which is now generating calls. If I end up getting a job because of her I will definitely owe her a nice lunch!:)
Wow, the job offers seem to be pouring in today. That's great!

I had the longest migraine I've ever had Monday and Tuesday...even after Imitrex it was 36 hours plus.:headache:

So I took a sick day from work yesterday and was actually sick. We spent our first night in the house last night:banana:

Jim and the girls have been so good about packing and schlepping stuff for me...we aren't going to get much more over to our house tonight....it's somebody's 40th birthday today. :woohoo: Everybody agrees that Grandma has become freaky nice.....I just remind them that it is one of her personalities....we just don't see it very often.
I'm so glad that you all are settling in, and that even Grandma is coming around. :yay:

:sad1: Poor things. Do they have any idea what it is?
