Okay I have been on the computer a litle too long as I am starting to get a Headache. So I will say goodnight.

my brother needs pixie dust on wednesday. he is going to san fran for a final interview and we want him to get the job(we have a certain motive):rotfl2:

OK. :wizard: Karen's Brother - Be gone with you!;)

I got the first draft of the contract from my new bosses today. They pasted portions of my current contract into it, so it looks pretty familiar!:rotfl: It is missing a couple of clauses pertaining to sick days and vacations that I want to have clarified but other than that it looks good. (Vacation and sick days are in there, it is just a tiny bit vague.) I called my friend to read my e-mail response to her before I sent it, and she happened to be in the car with another nanny. They both thought the response was fine, not pushy or snippy, so hopefully my new bosses will incorporate the changes and be done with it. This is the part whrere I have had a job blow up in my face before, so if anyone has a bit of Pixie Dust to help me get over the hump I would appreciate it. :flower3:

Becky -thanks for the update on Aidan!

Hello everyone.
Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend.
Have been busy.
Friday was a busy day.
Got paged at 5:55 A.M.
Then worked till 6:00 P.M.
I'm working the weekend (on-call).
Not to bad.
As I will have over 40 hours.
They don't want O.T.
So I'm taking Wednesday off.
Makes me very happy.
We have a site visit that day.
Big dogs in town.
I will be @ Blizzard Beach & Epcot. :woohoo:

Sounds like the perfect place to be that day, Jo! Hope your weekend of work is not too busy.

Elizabeth - I hope the contract goes through without a hitch!

Well I need to put clothes in the dryer.
Also need to water the front yard.
Maybe fix some dinner.
Funny we don't get quite as hungry
When it's hot.
A salad sounds good.
Catch ya later.

Elizabeth - I hope the contract goes through without a hitch!

Thanks! Me, too!
My current agreement was drafted by Momboss (an attorney), so it is VERY detailed. Obviously they don't want the contract to be the size of a phone book, but I kind of like having all the details in there. The less that is open for interpretation, the better!

Just a fly by post to say hi and send :wizard: and :grouphug: to you all.

Please feel free to skip this post, I just need to rant.

One of my co-workers has had a cough since April 25th. Well she finally went to the Dr. on Tues. Well her Dr. told her she has Pertussis which is whooping cough. Well she had been on Antibiotics for 2 days when she came to work yesterday. She tells me she is not feeling good, feeling a bit nauseated. I asked her what her Dr said and she tells me she has whooping cough, I asked her how long she had been on antibiotics she said 2 days. Well I sent her to employee health to make sure it was okay for her to be at the hospital. Well employee health would not let her back in the hospital building. she has to be on Antibotics for 5 days. Well they started asking the staff questions who had worked with her.

Well I have had allergy symptoms since Feb. Occasional cough and runny nose. But since I have these symptoms plus the fever I had on Tues. night they think I might have it. So I have to be on Antibiotics for 5 days before I can return to work. I have to miss 2 days of work. They talked to me around 4 pm and after talking to them I had to put a mask on and could not go in patients rooms. Luckily I was charge nurse yesterday.
I hope the antibiotics do the trick and that Olivia doesn't have it. Unbelievable.

Oh, and I almost forgot! We purchased our airfare today! Now it really feels official! :dance3:
:woohoo: :woohoo: YIPPIE!

Tammi- If you make a video I wanna see it.
I've got all of my video that I shot compiled onto a DVD. It isn't anything spectacular, just some title pages. No music, just whatever is originally on the tape. It's about 35 minutes long. I am working on putting all my photos into a slide show. I have the Movie Maker program Tom refered to so I'm trying that. It seems pretty simple.

It was pretty simple to make! (If you show me yours, I'll show you mine:lmao: )

Well I spent the afternoon going back to my old stomping ground (about 2 hours north of where I live now). I needed to put some flowers on my Dad's headstone, and I thought this would be the opportunity to show Leighanna where I grew up.

I would have showed her my High School, but they tore it down and replaced it with a state of the art school. (She thinks I went to the new one, it is hard for her to comprehend that it is new).

I would have showed her the house that I grew up in, but alas, it was torn down and replaced with several new homes on the old farmstead.

I went into town to show her where DW used to live. Can you believe the house was still there, although it looked nothing like it used to.:thumbsup2 (It has been remodeled)

So now I feel really old. I tried to find some of the houses that my friends lived at, and though most of them were there, they just seemed so small compared to what I remember as a child.

After the trip down memory lane, Leighanna and I went to the lake and ate ice cream, sat on the beach, and talked about the past. She is really interested in every detail. We had a nice talk, and then headed home.

I was going to do some work out in the yard, but the rain is falling, so I am going to take it easy the rest of the night!

Tom - It sounds like you had a nice afternoon! I moved so many times growing up that I don't really have a house that I "grew up" in. DH lived in the same house his whole life, but it is in the 'hood so I don't think we'll be going there any time soon! "Drive by" has a whole other meaning in that neck of the woods. We felt like we were pretty lucky to be able to sell that house after MIL passed away. DH keeps promising to take DS to his parents' graves, but he hasn't done it yet. DH is very cranky from working so many days ina row, so now is not the time to bring it up!

Hi all,
Just got home from the beach. We saw the annual memorial day air show. Very impressive. The kids played & the weather was great. I sunscreened everyone up but me & I am crispy-fried now.

I would be upset too! I hope the antibiotics help, sorry to hear this Jennifer

Tom I love the new picture collage in your signature!

Hi Lindsay! Hope Monday goes smoothly for you :wizard:

Hi, all! :flower3:

Sorry that I've been a bit MIA this week - work got pretty crazy. We have our big Memorial Day Picnic for 250+ people that I'm in charge of on Monday, so all those last little details have to be finalized.

Exactly!

Besides my concern for your health, Jennifer I am furious that anyone would be so selfish and rude to come to work in a hospital when she is probably contagious! I don't blame you for your rant, and I would be very angry that I was missing work because of her stupidity.
