Hi, all! :flower3:

Sorry that I've been a bit MIA this week - work got pretty crazy. We have our big Memorial Day Picnic for 250+ people that I'm in charge of on Monday, so all those last little details have to be finalized. Is it terrible that I'm secretly hoping it's a monsoon on Monday? :rotfl: That is the only way we would cancel it, and I'd really like a day off! We had an outdoor event planned on Thursday, too, and ended up having to cancel it and do something else at the last minute. I had said I would make the call on the event at 4 p.m. that afternoon, and that is literally when the skies opened up and Noah's Flood, vs. 2, was let loose on the city. It was one crazy storm! Glad to see that you guys weren't affected too much by it, Marci and Elizabeth. Downtown traffic was snarled for hours, as it knocked all the traffic lights out, and no cops were directing traffic!

Now, it's just been raining on/off for 2 days. As my father would say, it's a good day for ducks!

Elizabeth - I got my haircut last night - we just missed each other at the salon! I sat enviously watching Landon do 5-6 people's hair while Mark labored away on mine. :sad2: I REALLY am going to have to find someone else, as I just can't take it anymore. There were times I wanted to scream last night, although I felt bad for him, as his brother was just diagnosed with a brain tumor.

I read everything - :wizard: :grouphug: to all! It would take forever to comment on everything, so just know that I've been thinking of each of you, and wishing you safe and happy holiday weekends!

Hello

We are spending the day reclaiming our house :thumbsup2 The boys rooms are tidied up and the bathroom is almost done. Chris has been working on the Main rooms. It already looks much better. Colby is napping in our room so that one will have to wait until he wakes up.

I was just looking at a calendar. We have only 8 weekends left between now and our trip including this weekend :rotfl2: :) Of those 8 we will be camping 2 of them, We have a NASCAR race one of them cubscouts end of year stuff on one too. That means including this weekend I only have 4 weekends to get things done  I guess I'd better make a to do list and actually get to it. I know that I still need to make another T-shirt design, about 30 more autograph pages to design. I need to decide if I want to make new tie dye shirts or if I want to try the spray die idea (I have supplies for both). I need to sew a rain cover for Hunter's wheelchair. I can't wait for the trip, but I'm glad that I've still got time. Once July comes I have ONE weekend free. We will be camping the last weekend in June, The race is the first weekend in July, no plans YET for the following weekend. Then we go camping the following weekend and then head to WDW.

OK, enough thinking out loud. I'd better get moving.

Deb

AAAAAAAAAACK!! That means I only have 8 weekends before my California trip too. And I don't think I am ready! Now I know one of the things I need to get done this weekend. Thanks for the wake-up call, Deb!

Congrats on the reclamation of your house. I reclaimed ours the past two days while Kristin was visiting friends at James Madison University in another part of the state. Before she left on Thursday I told her I wanted all her STUFF out of my living space. It is now piled on her bed... and her floors... and her dresser... and her bookcases... I have no idea how she will sleep in that room when she gets home! :lmao:

Please feel free to skip this post, I just need to rant.

One of my co-workers has had a cough since April 25th. Well she finally went to the Dr. on Tues. Well her Dr. told her she has Pertussis which is whooping cough. Well she had been on Antibiotics for 2 days when she came to work yesterday. She tells me she is not feeling good, feeling a bit nauseated. I asked her what her Dr said and she tells me she has whooping cough, I asked her how long she had been on antibiotics she said 2 days. Well I sent her to employee health to make sure it was okay for her to be at the hospital. Well employee health would not let her back in the hospital building. she has to be on Antibotics for 5 days. Well they started asking the staff questions who had worked with her.

Well I have had allergy symptoms since Feb. Occasional cough and runny nose. But since I have these symptoms plus the fever I had on Tues. night they think I might have it. So I have to be on Antibiotics for 5 days before I can return to work. I have to miss 2 days of work. They talked to me around 4 pm and after talking to them I had to put a mask on and could not go in patients rooms. Luckily I was charge nurse yesterday.

Besides my concern for your health, Jennifer I am furious that anyone would be so selfish and rude to come to work in a hospital when she is probably contagious! I don't blame you for your rant, and I would be very angry that I was missing work because of her stupidity.

Lindsay - I hope it pours just on your little section of the world so you don't have to do your event on Monday. I hope the weather is perfect for Elizabeth and Marci, although I think she is at the house at the lake.

Tom - YIPPEE for airfare!

Okay I know you ladies liked Kingdom keepers what other books did you like. I am trying to spend $25 at barnes and noble.com so I could get free shipping and cant decide on what other books to get.

Can you buy CDs? Do they have the 5 disc set of Disney Music? They have it at Borders, and the only reason I don't have it is because we already own 3 out of the 5 discs. The other 2 weren't available individually, though they might be now.

How about the Imagineering Guides? We have the MK & Epcot ones.

I had another reply with multi-quotes, but I'm not sure where it went.:confused3

OK, you enablers! Now my phone plays the theme from "The Black Pearl".:rotfl2: But really, how much more appropriate can it get? I am going to download Nightmare ringtones for Halloween and Christmas since I know how EASY it is now! I got them from Cingular because they will just tack it on our bill with all the other crap!

Jennifer - I hope you & Olivia don't have Whooping Cough! I would be ready to throttle that other girl.

I am looking thru the CD's now. I have 3 of the greatest hits Cd's already.

There are 2 different CD series. One has 3 discs, and we have all 3 of those. The other has 5 discs, and we have 3 out of the 5. Unfortunately I can't remember what either series is called and I am too lazy to go to the car and look!:rotfl:

I think I give up. I will just buy it at the store as I cant seem to find anything I want or need.

my brother needs pixie dust on wednesday. he is going to san fran for a final interview and we want him to get the job(we have a certain motive):rotfl2:

I was wondering how many of us have a Disney Themed ringtone on our cell phones.

Mine is "You can Fly" from Peter Pan.

If I could have one for the home phone, I sure would, just do not know what it would be.

I don't but I do have a picture of Cinderella castle on my phone. My brother has many Disney ringtones on his cell phone and I wish I had a cell phone like he does. That way I wouldn't have to pay everytime I wanted a new ring tone. He has something different for everyone. He can use any MP3 file he wants for a ringer so he doesn't need to pay to download them. Last I knew, he had Splash Mountain for everytime I call him, our Aunt he has a Tigger ring, my Mom he had POTC, my Dad was the Mickey Mouse theme, his friend is an audio clip from Family guy, so on and so forth.

So I received these pictures in my email from my College alma mater today. This is the Brighthouse stadium which is on the location where our marching band used to practice.

The last time I was on the campus was April 2005. The only things which existed on my last visit in this picture was the track and the baseball field in the upper right hand corner, everything else is brand new.:scared1: The scariest thing of all is that at the time I visited they were talking 20 years before the school would have an on-campus football stadium, a little over 2 years later and look what exists.:dance3:

Update on Aidan

May 23, 2007 at 11:44 AM CDT

So another big day for our Son, today they begin to feed him! They will start with pedialyte and then work there way up depending on how he tolerates things. This is a huge step in his recovery process and we pray it goes smoothly. His wound looks to be healing properly with no seepage over a week later. We haven’t had the opportunity to hold him since his surgery, but they told us last night that the next time we get in, we can.

Over the weekend, we had some issues with his breathing and were told some depressing news, but after second opinions that news is not in our plans, nor his primary Doctor’s. We prefer the First Team versus the replacements.

They switched Doctor’s on us a few weeks back and we really enjoy our new primary. Dr. Leavy has a double degree in both neonatology and cardiology so he is looking at both our child and his heart. His heart is doing well, still in the improving range, but certainly not better. We also have an assigned primary nurse that is with him during every one of her shifts. She really loves our boy and cares for him like her own, which she is expecting her first in the next couple of months. (So an extra prayer for Elizabeth and her upcoming delivery) We hope he’s home before she delivers. Actually I pray he’s home before Father’s Day.

He was removed from the ventilator on Sunday Morning which was a surprise to us after the news they shared with us on Saturday, but he continues to do well with just the Nasal Cannula on a high rate of flow using just room level oxygen.

Over the last few days he had swelled up again, causing some concern in his parent’s eyes, but his wound never popped and it looks like he will get to keep his flat stomach and lovely scar.

I wanted to also take a moment to thank some people for all they have done for us. We have some very good friends that have done more then we could ever start to repay. When Mya was a child Naomi got involved with a playgroup and out of this group one lady has gone out of her way to help Naomi and our Family. She has contacted friends locally and around the country, telling them our story and asking if they can help in any way. They have come, showing just the love of Christ and a willingness to help someone that they never would have met or known. Each and everyday some small blessing shows up on our doorstep, whether it be a warm meal, a special gift for Mya, a friendly we are thinking of you or just an anonomous gift card for meals or formula.

Lacy, you will never know how much you mean to this family, but thanks to you and all of your friends!

I also want to thank both Naomi and My family, you have dropped things just to help us when needed and have loved us continuously through this whole ordeal. You have put your own lives on hold at times, just to be by either our sons, or our side. We thank you for this and hope that you know how much you mean to us, even if we don’t verbalize it at times. We can’t wait to celebrate upcoming Holiday’s and ask that we don’t spoil this one as much as Mya. Well ok maybe as much, but not more! 

Yesterday, a friend shared with me a Blog from another family that is in the same camp as we are, however their story ended too early Sunday evening. There child Cooper Hess passed away at 6 weeks of age due to a large mass in his intestines, thus destroying all of it. I just pray or boy Griffin was up there waiting to welcome him home. Reading over their blog, it was amazing to see how many of my posts had been duplicated in there own words. However our journey continues due to the Grace of God and the petitions of those around us. Your voices have been heard and we joyfully celebrate with you.

Well the next few days will be big ones and I will try harder to update his page more regularly. Thanks for the continued prayers and support.

Hello everyone.

We have a site visit that day.
Big dogs in town.

Deb- I love the hair cut. It is not too short. I need to get mine cut again to get rid of more of the perm on the ends of my hair. This half a head of perm and half a head of straight hair is driving me batty.:sad2: You will get everything done before your trip I know you will.:thumbsup2

Glynis-Great pictures of the kids.

Jennifer- Sending tons of prayers and :wizard: :wizard: your way that you and no one in has whooping cough and are feeling better soon.

Tammi- If you make a video I wanna see it.

Jen- I hope you have/had a great party.

Vicki- Hope Becky's graduation party goes well.

Steffy- Good luck on the Donkey glass search. I looked at one Mickey D's today but they were out.

Lindsay- I hope that work calms down and that it rains on Monday.

Elin- Glad to here you reclaimed your house.

Chanon- I think either gift sounds like a great idea. Which do you think she would use/ get more enjoyment out of? Does she have lots of pictures sitting around at her place in photo frames?? Does she wear necklaces??

It was 99 degrees in my car when I got in after work today, did I mention I love this hot weather. :thumbsup2 This ends my posting party. I need to find something to eat. Then I need to tackle my room, so that I can work on my end of year gifts for my co-leaders.

Here is a self portrait from this afternoon. Please ignore the dumb look, I was trying to hold the camera and shoot at the same time :lmao:
