We enjoyed it. And afterwards I made my first stop of the summer at Carl's for a strawberry malt! :goodvibes

I can either stop at your place around 9:30 AM on our way home from soccer or you can swing by here later in the morning or afternoon. Give me a call on my cell.

Strawberry Malt!!!!!! Oh, I want one!!!! It's so tough to get a malt here! I grew up with them, as my grandfather owned a drug store with a soda fountain in it! But most people here in Utah, don't know what a malt is. They only know shakes. You really have to specify that you want a malt and not a shake!

Hey, that's me!!!! :yay:

Yes it it, Miss "I only have 6 days until I leave". Can you tell I'm jealous!!!!

Our neighbors took their family to WDW this week during Spring Break. When I mentioned it to Alan he got a wierd look on his face. Then he said,
"Well, there's always next year for us" Picture me with my jaw on the ground!

Looks like I'll be crunching some numbers for him over the next few months. He really wants to show the kids Epcot and AK. Keep your fingers crossed that it actually happens!!!!

Just a quick pop in to say.
Good Morning all.
Busy day today.
Going Downtown to pick up a tree.
Come home & plant it.
OK I don't have a green thumb.
I just hope I haven't gotten over my head.
The City has a free tree for residents.
Earth Day thing.
I'm getting a Crepe Myrtle.
Fast grower & gets pretty flowers.
The front yard really needs some shade.
Just hope I can get it home.
It's 15 gallons. :scared1:
Thanks a the up-date on a few M.I.A D.D.A members.
I'm sure I missed a few.
Well I'll catch ya later.

Speaking of missing DDA members: I emailed Clare last night, and she responded this morning. Things at work have really gotten out of hand for her! She is working the jobs of 2 people at her work, and also trying to prepare for an interview for the job of her boss. She's excited about it, but it's really keeping her busy. She hasn't been able to DIS at all much lately!

She's very excited for her WDW trip in May, and promised to try to stop by to say hi to everyone!

Last night Katie & Sophie went to the Father/Daughter dance at school. Katie looked so grown up, I wanted to cry. I felt like she was going to the prom or something..we curled her hair with hot rollers & she wore lip gloss!:sad2: This was Sophie's first dance.:dance3:

Here they are before leaving.

At the dance...

Oh, Anne Marie! They are so beautiful!!! And the picture of them with your
DH is so wonderful. I just loved the Daddy/Daughter dances when I was little! They are some great memories! I hope they had a great time!

I have to do laundry today. The other morning when the fuse popped DH decided to bulldoze all of the laundry into our bathroom, and now we can barely open the door wide enough to get in there. Of course there is a HUGE mountain of laundry between the door and the tub, so getting in the door is only the beginning! DH was off Wed, Thur, and Fri and he did exactly ONE load of laundry.

This makes me laugh! Are all men so dense about laundry? Alan is happy do laundry if I ask him.....except, the only laundry he'll do is his own. I have different hampers in our room, and the kids rooms: one for darks, one for lights, and one for whites. So, it's already separated. When Alan does laundry, he goes through all the hampers in our room to get ALL of his clothes out of the three hampers, and then he'll wash them together in one load. WHAT?!?!? So, I've stopped asking him, and instead, I'm teaching Katie and Jacob how to do it.

Thanks Glynis.
I figured there weren't many that the deer won't eat.

I just talked to Alan, and he said that when you plant, add marigolds in with your plants, and that will help to discourage deer. I guess I was wrong with the daffodils, it's marigolds they don't like. Hope that helps you.

Well. I have met some of the nicest people in the world right here on this thread. My vacations have been enhanced because of the designers in this thread. Terry and I truly had the time of our lives from the moment we got on the plane, with our golden ears , Pal Mickeys, GOH badges and matching shirts. The sisters & friends are golden shirt that Kate made for Terry to give us as a surprise still wells my eyes with happy tears. :cloud9:

Meeting 11 of you up close and personal was one of my best weekends. Even with my foot in a cast. I will never forget June until the day I die.:hippie:

Then the trip last year for Nicky's wedding. My sister's first trip ever at the tender age of 69. With our matching shirts some of the time and meeting some more of my "computer" friends. The Concourse Steakhouse might be one of the best meals my sister and I ever shared. Because we shared it with Vicki and Chuck. And that was sooo special. And then the cruise. :tink: :tink: Such fond memories.

And now I'm getting ready for this trip. And Kristine has created shirts for my son and his wife for their anniversary. And one for my DGD that she absolutely adores. And I'm going to work on my DGSs shirts. Really. I have the clip art. That is my project for today. Nothing fancy like the designers, just some Cars clipart and a few words in Word. :cloud9:

But this has become so much more than a design thread. I really feel such a closeness to all of you. I'm truly interested in your day to day lives. And that is why I have started my day with this long winded post just to tell you all how much you mean to me.

Thank you all for being my friends. Have a great day DDA.:flower1: :smickey:

What a sweet post! Stephanie, the feelings are totally mutual!

I had much luck shopping (I will tell more later when I have time) and I stopped by Tammi's house. She has the nicest yardman working on the mulch in her backyard... :rolleyes1

Details, woman, details!!!! Better yet, you didn't happen to take any pictures, did you?;)

Looks like I'm the only one around right now! Hope you're all having wonderful days. We got up early, worked on cleaning the house and rewarded the kids with a trip to the library! Now, I'm doing laundry and DIS'ing in between loads. Alan is going to take the kids to the hardware store to get stuff to fix up our pop up trailer, and then they are all going fishing. So, it looks like I'll be having some quiet time. I can't remember the last time that happened!

we had our garage sale today and it was a nice turn out. didnt get rid of alot but its in the back of the van for me to take to goodwill. i made out with a whopping $3.45. my attendant added some stuff and made $86. well of to walk shocker and play zoo tycoon. i use to be addicted to it and i am addicted again. lol

Lovely pictures Anne Marie!

Stephanie congratulations on your personal milestone!

Nicholas WTG on getting the 2 goals :cheer2:

Meeting after dinner for a group picture sounds like it will work out better for everyone. I wonder how patient a CM will be to take a picture for each of us with our own cameras :rotfl:

Wow last post was Janet at 5:22, everyone must be enjoying the warm weather.

Thank you Alan and Glynis. Not sure if I will plant, but we are looking to put something along the driveway.

So my day off isn't. I will be heading in at 3:45 PM. I will however NOT be working tomorrow night. 6 in a row is enough.

Chris is working this morning so the garage cleaning is postponed. We have another sunny day out there so maybe just maybe I'll get out in it for a while. Of course it isn't too warm yet

I need to work on autograph pages again. I don't think I'll ever get them all created and I haven't even thought about printing them yet. Only 90 days to go I'd better get moving :rotfl: :rotfl:

Have a great day.

It's amazing how fast 90 days will fly. You better get moving because if you don't get them done soon, they may not get done. Especially with summer and the nice weather coming!

As of 4:30 I have a brand new kerosene fired hot water heater. The old electric one was in my bedroom closet and took up to much room, the new one is under the house.
