Night everyone, talk with you tomorrow!

Today was wonderful. All 6 children and 7 grandchildren took part in the ceremony for their Mom/Granny. And it was fun and joyful. I found out today that Mr. Alexander wrote that moving tribute of an obituary for his wife. We all met at the house after the Celebration of Life and interment in the memorial garden at the church. We sat around on the deck and talked for another 3 hours. Bob and I had to drag ourselves away because we feared the normal Friday afternoon/evening traffic snarl on I-95. Well, I think we could have stayed. It took us only 75 minutes to get the 78 miles from their house to downtown Fredericksburg. So we decided to go out to dinner (Old Town Steak and Seafood, Tammi) and we had a very relaxing dinner.

Now I have caught up and am falling asleep here at the computer. So I think I will say goodnight and hope for a full night's sleep. Have good evenings, friends!

Sounds like a wonderful tribute to her. Night.
I'm driving a 1993 Camry with over 100000 miles. It runs like a dream and is rust free. Rust is the biggest challenge for Toyota's. The powertrains last forever. I'm sure she would be happy with a 4 Runner.

Deb

My uncle has a '92 Camry and loves it. It cracks me up as he and my aunt are child free and extremely well off he still drives that car. He refuses to part with it until it dies, he has no complaints with it whatsoever. He did just buy a new luxury car but that is only for weekends and special outings.

My SIL just called. Summer now has that vomiting bug. I hope that it passes as quickly for her as it did for Logan. Even more I hope that we don't come down with it. We have all been around both of the kids

Here's :wizard: for all of you. I did manage to escape it when both my girls had it as well as 2 of my daycare kids and their parents.

We just got back from Meet the Robinsons (in Disney Digital 3D)! It was really cute! They had a Chip & Dale cartoon in 3D prior to the movie which was fun... and the end (not really the ENDING, just the last few frames) gave me goosebumps! Go see it! :goodvibes

Thanks for the review!

I was pricing hotels at Wisconson Dells. I would love to go away with the boys for a few days while they are out of school. But to be honest I am scared to leave the house alone yet.

Hopefully we will get a few day trips in somewhere as well.

:wizard: that you feel ok enough to take a quick trip. I can only imagine how unsettling it must feel.

We took the girls to see the Easter Bunny (really it was Peter Rabbit) I managed to get a pic of the girls but Molly was really scared of him. She just stood in front of him and Emma. We ordered Chinese from our favorite take out place on our way home.

I just talked to my mom and her and my dad along with her 2 sisters and their DH went out to dinner to celebrate my one aunt's b-day. I found out that my niece and my other aunt's GD went along to dinner. Both girls are the same age as Emma. And I for some reason am very upset that my mom would take my niece but not take Emma. All 3 girls will be together tomorrow and I am sure it will come up that they went out for the birthday celebration and I just don't want Emma to get her feelings hurt. I think the main problem is that my mom will always treat my niece differently than Emma and her reasoning is that Alyssa only has 1 parent, her dad has had no contact since she was 2 months old and only my parents are her only grandparents. The other set has nothing to do with her. I see where my mom is coming from the problem is that Emma notices that Alyssa gets more time with my parents and it's hard to explain why things are so different for the both of them. I guess I just see it as my parents should treat both girls the same because it's not Emma's fault that she has 2 parents.

I truly didn't mean to write a book but I needed to vent or I'm sure I'd be tossing and turning all night long.

Well I am off of here. I have potatoes on the stove so I can make potato salad for our get together tomorrow afternoon. I need to throw together a fruit salad too. I also have to make labels for the eggs we are making at my Aunt's tomorrow morning. I may get to sleep sometime before tomorrow morning.

Have a great weekend.

I thought you were going to be there the same time. Hopefully we can all meet up. Kristine will be there as well!
That would be neat. I am excited to see Disney at Christmas time.:goodvibes

 I understand how you feel DH's parents treat my kids differently than his kids from his 1st marriage due to the reason that they are kids of divorce. Try explaining to kids that they're treated like second class citizens by their grandparents because their parents are married. They'll even talk bad about my kids in front of them. It irks me but I let it go as they're not going to change. But I also respect my kids' feeling and a lot of the time we're in IA they want to spend it with my mom instead of the other grandparents. I hope that Emma's feelings don't get hurt. :grouphug:

I am so glad this week is over!
i ended up at school til after 5 and then had to babysit at 6...i just got home and think im going to head to bed soon...is it spring break yet?!

I got a Sony Vaio, it is 13.1 inches and a much lighter 5 pounds then the 10 pound, 15.4 inch clunker I have been dragging around.:thumbsup2

Cassidy has been drooling over that laptop!!

Once again I got a P3 in!!

We decided to go bowling tonight because we only had two more days to use our 99 cent game coupon. Cassidy bowled for the first time without bumpers....averaged for the 2 games a little over 70....Abi whomped us the first game. Jim did the whomping the second. It was decided that until mom got her own ball that she could only play one game...my middle finger hurts too much to bowl well. That's my story and I am sticking to it.:lmao:

I went to put the feedback in for the bulldog Webkinz (I got it today!!) and I got sucked back into Ebay...bad bad ebay!! :rotfl2:

Hope everybody has a great Saturday!!

:yay:
