The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 20

I know what you mean...Jeff has been a real "pill" lately. He constantly wants to hang around at our house. It drives Bill absolutely crazy.

The most frustrating part is that I can't stop his stupid way of parenting.

That is the absolute worst part of my divorce exactly. I can't change the influence my ex has on my kids, and on top of that they often seemed to idolize him.

So it's snowing here, and there is a good possibility it might change to freezing rain. I don't have to be at work till 11:30am so hopefully the roads will be good enough by then that it won't be a problem or it will be too bad that the complex I work in is closed.

Today I went to a Longaberger/Tupperware party. I ate way to much yummy food today. Tomorrow is a new day and I will do better.

Elin, Tammi needs a sitter! Hopefully, the roads will improve by lunch hour.
No, I've spoken to him already and let him know that we need to postpone. Besides, Elin will give up my secret! ;) :teeth:

And did you spend way too much too?

He has a 21 yr old daughter and I saw how he was a friend to her instead of a parent. Now I'm going to go through the same thing. Hopefully my kids will see through all of this when they get older. I hope I survive the next umpteen years!

That's what started this tonight. First, the kids stay up late at night so when they get home they are tired and cranky and whiney and fussy. Then Nicholas was getting over his stuffy nose and his dad let him play out in the snow today in his tennis shoes, which are now soaking wet. Needless to say he has been sniffling all evening. The most frustrating part is that I can't stop his stupid way of parenting. Oh well, at least they will get to sleep in in the morning. At least I hope they do!

Tammi I am sorry to hear that you are frustrated. Please try to not let it get to you, I know easier said than done. Try not to take it out on the kids, its not their fault their Dad is being dumb. Also I'm sorry the weather is crappy so your kids don't have school tomorrow. :wizard: :wizard: that the kids are better behaved tomorrow.  :grouphug: :grouphug:

Oh bummer Tammi!
Is it fate? Why have we had 60 degree weather until the day that I'm supposed to meet someone??? That's okay. If it's meant to be, it will work out.

Thanks Becky. I appreciate it. :goodvibes

And did you spend way too much too?

Not too, too much, Tupperware wasn't much because I had old items which needed to be replaced, so 2 bowls are being replaced for nothing and got credit for two more which they didn't have anymore and bought two other bowls to replace them.

Ordered small and large pie plates as they are on sale and a lid for my Mom's 9 x 13 pan, as she didn't know what size she neeed at the last party she was at. Total of about $62 for 4 Tupperware bowls and 3 Longaberger items.

Tammi - Maybe you should practice yelling with your mouth open nice and wide.;) I am sorry the weather is crummy! And I am sorry your ex is a jerk. My sister used to play my parents against each other - the second one of them opposed her in any way she would scream to go to the other one. NOT a good way to raise a child. Kids don't function well without rules. For example, Glynis' niece and nephew. I hope Nicholas feels better quick!:wizard:

Robyn - I hope tonight is restful!

Kristine - Your ex sounds bizarre. Doesn't he have his OWN house to hang out in?

I always tell myself that they will see through it some day. And it could be worse for them if he wasn't involved at all. (Although I've always secretly wished he wasn't). I hate when I hear my kids say something that I know came right out of their dad's mouth, but I would never say anything bad about him or put the kids in the middle, so I bite my tongue as much as I possibly can. It won't always be easy, but I can tell you and the kids will be ok.

This is one game that i didnt really mind either way so i just picked NE because i like Tom Brady and i usually pick them--my teams home already!

Well, I am not a huge football fan, but DH is so I end up half watching and doing something else at the same time. I like Peyton Manning, so I am rooting for the Colts, but I wouldn't say that I will really care that much either way.
