The patches from Deb arrived today as well as the letter from Cinderella

Ditto! I had "morning sickness" all the time in high school. Now mind you I was as naive as they come then. My mom took me to the doctor's to find out what was wrong. He asked if I was pregnant. Seriously, I was VERY naive - knew the parts but not how they worked - and there was no way I could be pregnant but I don't think he believed that. So, I suffered two more years with "morning sickness" until my brother got "morning sickness". Then the doctor diagnosed sinus drainage into the stomach at night. Yuck!

Living with this most of the year is bad enough. I feel for those of you that have it worse.

I used to have that problem as well and still do from time to time. They let you suffer two years of that??? What did they think you were an elephant with a 22 month gestational period?

I said I missed out on a 25 point contract for DVC at Boardwalk none the less and no one told me how bad they felt for me...

Probably would have been denied by Disney on ROFR anyhow. That payment is 1% of a downpayment on a house anyhow. So it was probably smarter that way.

Anyhow this was all said toungue in cheek, I was just looking for a little attention on our loss.

Hi ya Tammi - Skunka seems to have gone into lurk mode. He's been very busy with work and hasn't even logged on in the mornings... I'll be sure he knows that your coffee isn't the same. Heaven knows there are plenty of Disney songs out there - he shouldn't have used them all up by now!!!

Maybe he'll come out and play tomorrow morning...

We haven't received the packet yet, but our $1000 deposit showed up on our card today. I put a call into Scot yesterday and haven't heard back from him yet. I'll call him again tomorrow. Chris is so excited. He never checks the mail, but he has the last 2 days. I keep telling him that it will probably come FEDEx, but he isn't taking any chances . Have I ever mentioned that he is as obsessed with Disney as I am. We aren't planning a trip until next year, but he's already trying to squeeze one in.

don't know if this is ok to post but if not just let me know and i'll edit. i have some iron ons that i bought on ebay a while back before i found this thread that i was going to use. i am not going to use them anymore so if anyone is interested let me know. they are of Alice, Cinderella, Ariel, Bell, Jasmine. there are 4 different poses of each character. i will post pics later if anyone is interested let me know.

I think that is so sweet of you to offer!! I don't need any - but what a nice thing to do! Why don't you start a thread on this board and maybe you'll get some more responses... if you haven't already used them up. I'm sure somebody out there will just love them.

Good morning everyone! Sorry -- this will be long.
I need some advice from my friends, please. I have had sinus/allergy problems since I was very young. Have taken shots two different times with two different doctors, to no avail. I've been to 3 different ENT's, who all say I should have surgery. But, they don't really give me a good case for the surgery -- say they will fix my deviated septum, take out a bone spur in one sinus, and clean them out. They don't know if this will stop me from having all of these sinus infection/upper respiratory infections. My internist and allergist tell me they don't think the surgery will help. Meanwhile, I have year-round terrible allergies, that always flare up the most when I'm run-down. Slowing down much isn't an option (I've been at the same job for 19 years -- since my senior year in college and now run the business), although I am trying to take better care of myself.

Normally I start getting more stuffy than usual and start sneezing. At this point, I start taking Afrin for 3 days, make sure I am taking my decongestant and Allegra. The headaches start, then I have this gross drainage in my throat that makes it sore, ache from the shoulders up, ears feel funny, run slight fever, have a hard time climbing stairs (but no cough) and am exhausted. Yesterday I woke up with the same symptoms for the third time since the second weekend in December.

I make myself go to work, because I can't afford to get behind, plus have to get the kids from school (we live 35 miles from downtown Dallas but the kids have to go to a special school an additional 15 minutes further away). I hate to take antibiotics for every "episode" because I get yeast infections, plus I don't want to get resistant to them from overuse.

The one flaw (did I saw flaw???) in my near perfect husband is that he doesn't have the sympathetic/compassionate gene for all these sinus/allergy problems. I'm sure he gets sick of hearing about my problems, but I'm even more sick of living them. I got in the shower last night trying to steam all this crap out of my head and throat and just broke down crying.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for things that have helped them with these symptoms/problems? I'd be so grateful for any advice at this point.... and thanks for listening.

I can so empathize with your feeling bad. Every day must be a chore because you probably feel like-- How is my day going to go today?
It is a shame that the shots didn't work. I know that when DH went and took them, he has been almost symptom free except for Memorial Day.
It was hard for me to understand how he felt until I experienced a bout of spring fever. I was there for him but just could not grasp the whole thing.
I know that I must drive my co-workers a little crazy because I start my days off with a sneezing fit and a little coughing and then sniffing a little till I can quiet down.
I do have one question, is there something where you work that might be causing an increase in your symptoms without your knowledge? For short term have you tried Zicam?

I have a bunch of stuff going on in RL,some quite stressful , so I haven't had much time to DDA. I think about y'all a lot. Everyday I keep everyone in my prayers and pixie dust to all in need. Hopefully my life will chill out soon and I can hang out again!

Scot was off Monday and Tueday - so I'm sure your packet will be on its way shortly. They probably have people sending packets out this week since this is such a big promotion. I'm so glad Chris is just as into as you - it sure is more fun when you can act like kids together!!!!!

I'm sorry that you missed out on the contract. I'm sure it was a great deal and that these types of contracts go quickly. Sending you and that another great contract will come along your way and you will get it.

And you can get a different use year. Your guide will be pi$$ed as they will have to rewrite your contract, but you can get a different use year if you really want to.

I'll feel for you, mac! I've been spending the last half hour on the DVC calculating rentals for a big family trip in 07 and WISHING that I could afford DVC anytime soon. Of course, I wish that I could afford a HOUSE anytime soon, but that's a whole other matter. I hope that a doable offer comes up for you soon.

I am right there with you Tia!! I am trying to get this vacation this summer together and get the heck out of my Grandparents house!! I won't even pretend to look at houses for sale around here because even the tiny, dingy, small, needs lots of work, did I mention miniscule? houses go for $200,000+ So I have put DVC on the "I will buy when I win the lottery" list. ( I may have to buy a ticket for the lottery )


But I love hearing about everybody's trips and DVC!!

Thanks for checking in, Elin. I thought you were just spending quality time with DD before she went back to school, and here you have been working all this time. YUCK! But I know that you love your work, so maybe just a little yuck.

We took Kristin back to school on Sunday. That is another reason I have all the paperwork to do now during my regular teaching schedule. I normally do all those data bases and forms on Sundays, but I was in Richmond almost all day long.

I DO love what I do, but I will be one whipped puppy by February 25th!
