You know us guys might stop posting if we get ignored becuase we don't have UTI's or Sinus infections.

I said I missed out on a 25 point contract for DVC at Boardwalk none the less and no one told me how bad they felt for me...

Probably would have been denied by Disney on ROFR anyhow. That payment is 1% of a downpayment on a house anyhow. So it was probably smarter that way.

Anyhow this was all said toungue in cheek, I was just looking for a little attention on our loss. :guilty:

Yes, men do need their attention too. So ... I'm so sorry that you missed out on a DVC opportunity. :flower3: Better luck next time.

Just caught up from the day:

Marci - PD for the Dr.'s tomorrow!

Marti - glad to hear the UTI is a goner!

Macntosh - I feel your pain. I spent 45 min. on the phone with Marti/Paul's (and Tammi's) DVC guide with a 1,000 questions tonight, and it's like trying to pull teeth to get DH to even TALK about it! We'll see!

I hope everyone else is doing well, and hanging in there.

And yes, I do have Skating with Celebrities on in the background. I can't believe I'm watching this!!!

Sorry for your loss, take it as a sign that you should be buying more points than that - I believe that what is meant to be will be!!!

Kristine - glad to hear how happy your DD is with the eye patch - I'm proud that Deb was able to help out another DDAer.

Don't be DVC challenged - there are plenty of people here that will help you out!!!

Good morning everyone! Sorry -- this will be long.
I need some advice from my friends, please. I have had sinus/allergy problems since I was very young. Have taken shots two different times with two different doctors, to no avail. I've been to 3 different ENT's, who all say I should have surgery. But, they don't really give me a good case for the surgery -- say they will fix my deviated septum, take out a bone spur in one sinus, and clean them out. They don't know if this will stop me from having all of these sinus infection/upper respiratory infections. My internist and allergist tell me they don't think the surgery will help. Meanwhile, I have year-round terrible allergies, that always flare up the most when I'm run-down. Slowing down much isn't an option (I've been at the same job for 19 years -- since my senior year in college and now run the business), although I am trying to take better care of myself.

Normally I start getting more stuffy than usual and start sneezing. At this point, I start taking Afrin for 3 days, make sure I am taking my decongestant and Allegra. The headaches start, then I have this gross drainage in my throat that makes it sore, ache from the shoulders up, ears feel funny, run slight fever, have a hard time climbing stairs (but no cough) and am exhausted. Yesterday I woke up with the same symptoms for the third time since the second weekend in December.

I make myself go to work, because I can't afford to get behind, plus have to get the kids from school (we live 35 miles from downtown Dallas but the kids have to go to a special school an additional 15 minutes further away). I hate to take antibiotics for every "episode" because I get yeast infections, plus I don't want to get resistant to them from overuse.

The one flaw (did I saw flaw???) in my near perfect husband is that he doesn't have the sympathetic/compassionate gene for all these sinus/allergy problems. I'm sure he gets sick of hearing about my problems, but I'm even more sick of living them. I got in the shower last night trying to steam all this crap out of my head and throat and just broke down crying.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for things that have helped them with these symptoms/problems? I'd be so grateful for any advice at this point.... and thanks for listening.

I am so sorry you have been feeling like this. I know it is no fun to feel like that all the time. My Dad has had tons of allergy/sinus problems. He has had allergy shots, nasal sprays, various medicines, etc., etc. He did have his sinuses stripped about two years ago. It not only improved his health but also his hearing and vision.

He still gets sick and has now been back to the ENT again because he had a bad spell again, but overall he has been alot better since the surgery. They couldn't guarantee it would make his life better either but it did. He had to go back quite a few times where they would do in office minor surgeries.

As for not wanting to take antiobiotics all the time that is understandable. As a way to help prevent yeast infections take acidophilus pills. Available in the vitamin aisle. Acidophilus is in yogurt so you could eat that if you like it. It definitely helps to prevent the yeast infections. I don't like yogurt but take the acidophilus pills and they have helped me in the past.

Here is a what the acidolphilus does. Taking acidophilus replenishes our bacterial flora and reduces overgrow of yeast.

Sending hugs and pixie dust your way. I hope you feel better.

The paperwork is all signed. It went into the MLS today...cross your fingers. It's an amazing home...totally custom built but it's the neighborhood that presents the challenge. 5 years from now it will be different..they were the first to tear down and build. Well, you know how it is...price & location. And, I may be giving you a loud shout sooner than later :teeth: I have another listing coming my way in 2 weeks...but that's whole other story... :teeth:

I hope you enjoyed your day of not having anything to do. I really could use a day like that right now, to attempt to catch up on everything I need to do. Oh, wait than I would still have plans. Yeah well I think I am stuck in a catch 22.

Sorry that you missed out today. Since it didn't take them long to call you with the first two offers, I'm sure you'll be getting another call very soon. Be prepared and think about where you'd like to have as your "home". I know that you'll be joining the DVC ranks soon.

There's your marketing strategy - be the first one in and you'll actually be saving money in the long run. When this neighborhood turns around, the price values will skyrocket.... yada yada yada.

Take that commission check when it does sell and buy DVC!!! Then you could be heading back down for a long weekend... :teeth:

I wanted to give you all an update...

The patches from Deb arrived today as well as the letter from Cinderella

kirstpat.jpg

As you can see she was very excited and put the patch right on! Many many thanks to Deb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :worship: :worship:

I am so glad that you finally got them. She looks so happy with her letter in hand. The patch looks like it fits great. I hope that they work as the doctors are hoping.
