1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Egg Nog
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? Sets them out under the tree.
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? White, because that's what Alan likes. I like colored.
4. Do you hang mistletoe? Sometimes.
5. When do you put your decorations up? We start the day after Thanksgiving and continue until everything is up.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)? Dad's clam dip!!!!!
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? Grandpa Adams making sourdough hotcakes for Christmas breakfast. We would eat Christmas candy while he made them. It was the only day of the year we were allowed to eat candy before breakfast!
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? What truth???? Actually, I was in 5th grade. My teacher had to take me aside and tell me as I was being teased mercilessly by my classmates. I was devastated.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Yes. We did as kids, and it was always new pajamas, hand knit slippers from Grandma, and an ornament for the tree. We do the same for our kids (except the hand knit slippers. Maybe someday for that!)
10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree? Our "kid" tree is chock full of fun ornaments collected over the years, and ornaments from my childhood. My new Disney tree has glass Mickey balls on it with some icicles. It's pretty bare for now, but we'll add to it each year!
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? Love snow as long as I don't have to drive somewhere in it. Ditto to what Vicki said!
12. Can you ice skate? Have you ever fallen on the ice? Yes, and Yes. My birthday is in January, and that was always my birthday party; an ice skating party.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift? Any Christmas that I got more than one book was a fabulous day!!! One year I got a large teddy bear I named Boris. I loved him so much. It wasn't until years later I learned that my father had made him for me. I carried him around until he literally fell apart.
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Making memories for my kids.
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Gingerbread trifle!!! Yummy! I can't wait to make it this year!
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Bundling up and going to Temple Square in Salt Lake City to see all the lights. It's so beautiful! We love the Nativity scene, and the lights in the Pedestrian walkway!
17. What tops your tree? A Mickey snowflake on one tree, and nothing on the other. Just never found anything I liked for it.
18. Which do you prefer giving or Receiving? Giving is the best!
19. What is your favorite Christmas Song? Doesn't matter. If it's Christmas music it's all good with me!!! However, I really love to listen to Handel's Messiah at least once every year.
20. Candy Canes! Yuck or Yum? Depends on the flavor. Peppermint is yuck. Any other flavor is Yum!
