oh doesn't it always work like that? Like when you take your car to the shop and it just won't make that same noise, so you have to make the noise the best you can for the service man and try not to sound like a blubbering idiot.

Thanks, but I don't think it will be any time soon with the scrapbook. I actually decorated a cake the other day, well 2 cakes. Nick made one but I couldn't wait that long to decorate it so I brought another one from the supermarket too. They weren't exactly works of art but not bad for a first try... I even made a icing Scamp and Tigger to put on top of Nick's... it was quite funny

Hi Heather! I've been lurking for a little while, but had to post after reading about your baby. I am so sorry. I don't think I've ever read anything that's made me cry like that.
Anyway...to a happier topic...I was glad to find your report, as my DH, myself and some friends are going to PC Beach in a couple of weeks...And guess where we're staying...Long Beach! Love that place...this will be our 4th time staying there.
So did you not like Pineapple Willy's? I noticed that you said the food was "okay". It's one of my favorites, but I always get the ribs and they are sooooo good. Glad that you liked Margaritaville as well...We've been excited about trying it out as well. How was the food at Dirty Dick's? We'd thought about trying it the last time, but I had read some bad reviews on it. We did go in and look at the shirts, and like you, I just had to pass!!
We really have too much in common...We love Backyard Burgers as well. Used to be one pretty close to our house, and it closed down a couple months ago, so I hope the one in PC Beach is still open when we get there. Can't beat their baked potatoes!
Oh yeah...guess what kind of camera I have...The pink Sony Cybershot! Love it! Of course it being pink helps too!
Can't wait to read more of your report...definitely interested to hear more about the stingrays that you mentioned earlier...I just heard about doing the "stingray shuffle" a few weeks ago...

Pineapple Willy's was pretty good. I liked the popcorn shrimp! I heard the ribs were really good.

I think you'll like Margaritaville. Just try to go during the week if you can! It's almost impossible to get in there on the weekend.

Dirty Dick's is great if you love crabs! And I do...Dungeness and snow crabs. Yummmm, they were so good!!

I'm sure Backyard Burgers will still be open when you go. If anything, we kept them in business by going all week! They looked like they got alot of business though, so you shouldn't have a problem.

Did you know they built a huge outlet mall by Margaritaville?? It's so big! I don't know if you've been there in the past year, just letting you know. It's like the Destin Commons.

Being raised in the South, I'm used to things looking at me when I eat them! Crabs, crawfish, shrimp. If I think about it too much it does get creepy though.

Wednesday, May 7th. Day 5. Part 1.

Our vacation was now more than half over. Or we still had two full days left after today. Are you an optimist or pessimist? LOL.

We woke up and Joe got everybody breakfast from McDonald's. We sat on the balcony while we ate, just looking at the gorgeous water. That's when we noticed a school of something just swimming along the water's edge. Looked too big to be fish. Dolphins? No, we've seen them every morning and we know what they look like.

In the middle of our guessing game, a stingray jumped OUT of the water and flapped its (wings, fins, arms, sides?). Me and Darren were the only two that seen it. It was crazy, we'd never seen a stingray jump out the water. I didn't know they could! I wish we'd gotten a picture, but it happened too fast.

Anyway, after eating we headed to the beach.

Joe and Darren got into the water with their nets again. Darren actually caught a fish! Half of a dead minnow, but hey, it's still a fish!! Hahaha.

Then I decided to try and be artistic. My camera was crapping out by this time, so I was mostly trying to figure out what was wrong with it.

Ok, sorry I didn't get to the A-MAZE-ing part yet, but it's about to storm here and I don't want to lose power. Hope you enjoy this mini update!! Please let me know if you read it, I need all the readers I can get lol.

Yay! another update! Reading about the beach is getting me excited for my own vacation next week! If I'm still feeling adventurous I've been thinking about making my own little trip report. I haven't been to Daytona in at least 5 years so it should be interesting to see how its changed. Hopefully I'll get to hear about more of your trip before I leave! Thanks for the update!

Oh my gosh, I LOVE the pictures of the waves! It doesn't LOOK like your camera is about to break in those pictures. They really are great!

And of course, Logan is cute as always!

It's gonna storm? I need to go look out of the window in our back room. It's terrible that I didn't even know that! No windows!

I didn't think it would rain today since I brought my new umbrella to work with me!

Great update, even if it was only short. Logan is such a cutey, I see why you love him so much. When we were in Miami in 2006 we were on our balcony and saw some dark shadows in the water right near all the swimmers. We then realised it was stingrays (huge ones) and they were swimming around all the people who were completely unaware that they were there. When we went in the sea later I was constantly aware that they could be right near us, but didnt think they would/could hurt us. The ironic thing was about 1 month after we got back Steve Urwin was killed by a stingray whilst taking a break from filming World's Deadliest Sea Creatures.
