The Dasani Girl is headed to the beach again! New pics added

I was out all day with my mom so I didn't get to call Disney yet. I'll probably do it tomorrow I guess.

I had a bad night last night. As I was brushing my teeth I realized exactly one year ago at that time was the last night I got to spend with my baby. The last night he popped out of the covers and flopped down by me, the last night he played with his toys...I can't believe it's been a year. I miss him so much. I know alot of people don't understand, and you won't understand unless you have a dog that's like a baby to you. It's just so heartbreaking to lose them.

Sorry no updates lately. It's going to be a hard week. Especially Friday the 13th, but not for superstitious reasons...

 I totally understand... my first baby is my fuzzy one.

I completely understand and know how you feel! We had a miniature silver dapple dachshund named Gracie. She would have asthma attacks and seizures. Well, she was about 3 1/2 years old. We took her to my parents house while we went to a friends house. I had actually just found out I was pregnant 2 weeks before this. My brother in law called to tell me that Gracie must have had an asthma attack or seizure and she fell in my parents pool and drowned. She slept with us and went just about everywhere with us except that day! Then I had 2 shi-tzu's that had to be put to sleep last year. Buffy was 14 years old and Beau was 12. I miss all of them so much! Some people don't understand, but dogs can be like your babies!

Same here. He will always be my first baby.

I'm so sorry to hear that...How sad. I know you must miss them all.
He loved to go places with me, he'd get all excited and run outside to get in the car. He slept with me every single night, under the covers.

He was my baby. I didn't give birth to him of course, but I just cared for him so much. If somebody asked him where was 'Mommy', he'd look all around for me. When we'd come home with groceries he'd stick his nose in all of the bags looking for a toy lol. He loved his toys and treats!

I got a new camera tonight!!! Darren and I went to Best Buy and I was looking at the cameras and he told me to pick the one I wanted. I got the pink Sony Cybershot and I love it so far! I'll take some test pictures to show y'all soon. I have the greatest husband!!

We're going to his cousin's first birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great Sunday :wave2:

congrats on the camera! :woohoo:

I love new toys!

well, you know I understand.

And we actually got a new puppy! This time a MUCH bigger one!!

He's a cutie and I love him, but I still miss my baby.

I remember this story and it is SO sad!

Dogs are totally big babies...they just can't talk, always walk on all 4's, and never move out. :rotfl:

So sorry. I understand exactly how you feel. I had to put my Chessie baby to sleep in March of this year because I couldn't afford his Diabetes treatments. It's the closest to depression I've ever come. Hope you have a better week.

I am so sorry you are having a bad week. It is so hard to get over losing a pet. I hope you get through the week ok. ((((hugs))))

I forgot to ask, what is going on Friday the 13th? Unless you don't want to say...

or you can PM me if you want.

I understand to I have had to give up a couple puppies due to moving away and it killed me to watch the new owners leave with him :worried:

congrats on the camera! :woohoo:

Congrats on the new baby! What's his name?

I'm sorry to hear about Chessie. I was really depressed afterwards. I couldn't eat, my weight dropped to 97 lbs. I've gotten better, but I still think about him every day.
Thank you.

June 9th is when the accident happened. June 13th is when we actually lost him completely.

I understand to I have had to give up a couple puppies due to moving away and it killed me to watch the new owners leave with him :worried:

I'm sorry...:( My mom's dog had 6 puppies and we couldn't bear to give them away, so now they have a pen full of dogs lol. Two are considered ours even though they stay there. They're names are Nemo and Roley.

I just can't sleep if I know there's a spider in the house. We don't get them anymore now that we get an exterminator to come, so we both sleep better this way! :lmao:

I've been lurking for a few days but I had to post on this one. I HATE bugs. DH & I live in a 1-level ranch and it's built on a concrete slab. You know what the slab does? It lets the bugs in. We get crickets (eww, eww, ewww), spiders, silverfish & ants. The crickets are the worst. The chirp loudly in the walls. Even the exterminator can't get rid of them. But anyway, last night I woke up with a tickle on my arm. I brushed it off thinking it was a hair, but then felt a tickle again a little further down the arm so I brushed it again and felt something. This lead me to jump up in bed, turn on the light and lo and behold, crushed spider on my arm.

Blech!

Just read about your dog, I'm so sorry. In last August, we had to put down our 3.5 y/o American Bulldog, Pralines & Cream, after we found out she had gastric lymphoma. She was sick for a while and the doctors couldn't figure out what it was so by the time they diagnosed her, it was too late:worried: . She was normally 110-120 lbs. with a deep chest, and a loud bark. I felt so safe when she was around::cop: . We knew it was bad when her weight dropped to 60 lbs. My DH cried like a baby when we had her euthanized. It was such a bad time.:(

Because of my son, we decided to get 2 mini schnauzers. They're terrors but we love them. It does help with the grief if you have another dog. But there are still times when DH picks up the girl dog and cuddles her and it brings a tear to my eye b/c I know he misses Praline.

His name is Chance. :goodvibes

Cute name!!!

Oh my gosh..I would have freaked out!! That's so weird about the crickets. It seems really annoying. My mom used to have silverfish in her house, those are creepy!
I think spiders are the worst though. :worried:

I'm so sorry to hear about Praline :( Darren takes one of Jasper's toy balls with him every day. He puts it in his pocket. We also sleep with his first little stuffed duck he had since we got him.

People have asked us to take a dog from them, but we just can't do it. It's not that we'd be trying to replace him, I just can't see myself getting that attached to another one. Plus, now we can come and go as we please without having to get someone to watch him, so we probably won't get another one at all. Maybe when we have kids and they get older and want one, but for now, definitely not.

That's a good point, b/c I still don't have any idea who's watching our yappers for our Christmas trip :confused3 .

I completely understand how you feel about Jasper. My Spencer has been gone for 2 years in July. They really are like your babies! For the longest time it was me and him. I miss him terribly.

We feel the exact same way about getting another one. I just can't bring myself to do it. Plus, like you said, we can travel and not have to worry about a sitter. Maybe when my DS gets older. He's 4 now. Maybe when he gets old enough to understand how to help me take care of a new puppy.

Don't worry, you'll find someone :thumbsup2 I was lucky, all of my family loved him, so I would just drop him off at my parent's or my brother's house lol.

I'm sorry to hear about Spencer. It was just me and Jasper for a long time too. I got him right before 9/11 happened and he helped me through that. He was there every step of the way. He got really sick once with his pancreas, but he held on and bounced back completely. He was so strong for being such a little dog.
He only weighed 9 ounces when we got him at 5 weeks old. :lovestruc He fit in the palm of my hand, it was so precious!

Ok, here's a few pictures from my new camera. Keep in mind that I am still trying to figure out the settings. I'm sure it can take much better pictures than this! :rotfl:

Darren's Grandma got us this for our 1 year anniversary. That was so sweet of her! She knows we love our Disney!
