Just read about your dog, I'm so sorry. In last August, we had to put down our 3.5 y/o American Bulldog, Pralines & Cream, after we found out she had gastric lymphoma. She was sick for a while and the doctors couldn't figure out what it was so by the time they diagnosed her, it was too late

. She was normally 110-120 lbs. with a deep chest, and a loud bark. I felt so safe when she was around::cop: . We knew it was bad when her weight dropped to 60 lbs. My DH cried like a baby when we had her euthanized. It was such a bad time.
Because of my son, we decided to get 2 mini schnauzers. They're terrors but we love them. It does help with the grief if you have another dog. But there are still times when DH picks up the girl dog and cuddles her and it brings a tear to my eye b/c I know he misses Praline.
