Okay, this is bad. I don't remember coming here to post last night. Ooops! LOL!!!! Guess I really did have a good time at the fundraiser last night.
Thanks!

Scary, isn't it. I'm praying more and more. But, remember how we were constantly told everyone would like the US if BO was elected? hmm...
Shucks, I missed church today because I have a fever and DH said they would not appeciate me sharing that with the congregation...![]()
I'm sorry you're sick. Get to feeling better soon,ok?

Interesting question. I just checked with Mr. M on his opinion and it made sense. Democrat and republican are a party to be affiliated with. Conservative and liberal are a philosophy as to how the constitution is interpreted.
A con interprets it conservatively, it means what it says and it says what it means. A liberal interprets it with a liberal interpretation, meaning there is 'give' in the document, open to opinion and change depending on whatever is going on at the time.
Interesting.![]()
I think that sounds about right.
Go hockeymom! You can do it.If you smoke, I'll come up there and shoot slap shots at you!

I'm definintely a conservative first and a Republican second. I really like the really conservative candidates...
Dr. Laura rocks! If you have a chance to go see her, I would. She's amazing! She's so funny, so full of wisdom and the way she gives it to you is so cool. I highly recommned her. Her son is soooooooooo cute!
I think she's great too. She tells it like it is.......major reality check show. Love it.
I don't know anything about the Conservative party, I didn't realize they had an actual party. I'm out the door right now, but I have homework to do when I return. We're out the the RP, and looking for something that fits our own beliefs.
I don't know much either. I found this........evidentally it's only in NY state? Ironic, don't ya think?
Conservative Party (United States), in the United States, political party in New York State, formed in 1962, and espousing a conservative philosophy. Although numerous candidates throughout the nation seek office as conservatives, the Conservative Party of New York State is the only party legally constituted as such in America. The party stresses firm belief in the American tradition of individual initiative and liberty. The growth of the liberal wing of the Republican Party in New York distressed conservative Republicans in the state and led to formation of the Conservative Party as a more distinct alternative to liberalism.
The party is active primarily in the local politics of New York City, but had a membership in the state of about 120,000 in the mid-1980s. The New York Conservative Party achieved its only significant statewide victory in 1970, when its candidate, James L. Buckley, running against Democratic and Republican opponents, won election to the U.S. Senate with a plurality of less than 40 percent of the total votes cast. Since 1976, when Buckley lost a reelection bid, none of the party's candidates has won major elective office solely on the Conservative line.

Based on some of the posts I've seen on DIS and another Poltical Board I frequent..... I post this video to put it all in perspective.
