Good afternoon, everyone. Back from church and Sunday School..........had nursery duty during church. Got to feed a 2 month old little boy.......

so sweet! I have three beautiful children but I tried to have more (three miscarriages interspersed between my healthy pregnancies), especially for a buddy for my son, but no, I guess God wanted it to be two girls and a boy. So I have to content myself with the nursery.
sigh
I need a nap after spending too much time on here last night. Blestmom.....do we have a name yet?
I have a question for all of you
Are you a Republican first, conservative second or
Conservative first, Republican second?
I have been doing a lot of soul searching this past week. Politically speaking that is.
We are about to leave the Republican party.
I just wanted to get some thoughts on where the party is heading, in your opinion.
(For the record, we are conservative first)
Muushka, I've been doing the same thing this week. I've always felt that we should be a part of the Rep. party because we don't want to "waste our vote". It's always been (at least in my lifetime) Rep./Dem. But lately, I just wonder if I've had enough with letting the Rep. party pick moderate after moderate to appeal to the Independents and Conservative Dems. Every time we do that we lose. Well, maybe with Bush........he says he's conservative and in some ways he is, but other ways I think he gave in or something.
Anyway, I thought, what better way to show the Rep. that they don't have my back then to leave them.
To answer your question, I'm conservative first, Rep. second. I feel partly like AgentPeakly..........but I take it further. I not only want the gov. out of my face, I don't want to pay for things I don't believe in. My taxes go to Planned Parenthood, right? Why should I be forced to pay for something that I feel is morally wrong? I realize that we will probably never get abortion outlawed, but why can't they pay for it themselves? Or have fundraisers.....like I'm sure they do now, to raise money for women who want one. Why ask me to pay for it? Do I get money from them for my kids Christian school? Many parents can't afford that and want to.
And maybe these colleges that get money from the gov. could start running these places like the actual businesses that they are. They get grants or whatever from the gov. and then teach young citizens a bunch of crap!
I could go on and on.........I wish I didn't even have to pay social security......I wish I could say no to receiving it and paying it. Even after all the money I've put into it..........how I retire is up to me. If I don't save during my lifetime, then I mooch off of my kids.

That's the way it used to be. The Amish have it right on this subject. They take care of their families...........so sad, that's the way it used to be in this country but not anymore.
Like I said, I could go on and on.....
He's so cute!! I still say go with caribou or moose!
I have to go with AP's version of rep/conservative... right down to the "as I get older", part. Even during this election I found myself changing a few views to go more conservative. The more I read the more I didn't like my previous stance on certain issues.
oh yeah.. GOOD MORNING! OK, at 4am I totally lost it and smoked my last cigarette. Now there are NONE in the house, and I'm doing fine. I think I'm going to insist we take dh's car to hockey today. Its a dealer car so no smoking. Couldn't even if I wanted to. I don't trust myself in my own vehicle. This is the same vehicle that doesn't start without lighting up. Well, it might, but I've never tried it! LOL
Alright! The last one is gone. You can do it!
Hi! Definately check us out! Opening night is Dec 6th this year. It is a BIG celebration. They block off the street for us to just pedestrian and horse drawn wagon traffic. Laura and I have a party every opening night (very informal come and go as you please affair) with Hot Chocolate, Hot Cider, Coffee and desserts. Feel free to come by and say Hi. We love meeting DIS'ers!
That is so cool! My family love Christmas decorations. Every year we get some hot chocolate and drive around for hours looking at all of them.
Mission Statement
Constitution Party Mission Statement
The mission of the Constitution Party is to secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity through the election, at all levels of government, of Constitution Party candidates who will uphold the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States. It is our goal to limit the federal government to its delegated, enumerated, Constitutional functions and to restore American jurisprudence to its original Biblical common-law foundations.
Sounds just a tad different from what we have now, huh?
Looks interesting. Is there much difference between them and the Conservative party?
Hi everyone. This thread moves so fast it is hard for me to keep up. I have not been home much this past week either. Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well!!!
GOOD LUCK!!! YOU CAN DO IT! This coming Wednesday marks one month for me since I have smoked. I now have a horrible cough that I think is part of my body ridding itself from the junk that was in there, but it is getting better. It has been somewhat difficult because my husband still smokes. But after about a week the smell grossed me out so bad I did not want one anyway.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!
Great job! Keep it up!
