I just read the whole SP Africa thread. That was awesome. You really put that OP in his place. I am so tired of him. The election is over - your side won - move on. It's stuff like this that further divides us.

I, too, thought that it was something totally different. LOL

Anyone want a snack?
Anyone want some "kack" to go with that "poo"???

I found this on my first trip to Sweden and just had to bring some back as a conversation piece!!!!

Now I just read the abortion thread and my stomach hurts. Zygot stage?? Never heard of that. I guess it makes it easier to have an abortion when you don't view it as a baby. Why in the world would anyone go on a public message board an announce they had an abortion. I'm shocked that the dis is even allowing that.

Good night! That Africa thread is unbelievable. I started to post then thought "um...nevermind".:sad2:

Who has the smilie banging its head against the wall!?

I offer you a few choices:

2)

3)

OR you can always do this:

Track - named after her love of running
Bristol - named after Bristol Bay in Alaska, where the family fishes
Willow - named after the town of Willow, Alaska
Piper - named after a bush plane (Todd flies a private plane)
Trig - Norse name for "strength" or "true"

I never knew that! That is so cool...........it makes me like the names better, especially Trig.

Thanks, Debbie. She told me too that everything I learn is from Fox News. Wrong. I barely watch FNC other than Hannity & Colmes and Greta (and a little Cavuto on the days I'm home early enough to see it). I told her I didn't appreciate her comment at all. And then I posted an article from the NYT about Emanuel's issues, including the dead fish he sent to a pollster he disliked and the tale about him stabbing a knife in a table repeatedly and yelling terrible stuff while talking about "enemy" Republicans. Then I contacted the moderators of the board. I'm just flat out not putting up with that nonsense. She's made snide comments to me before when we were all talking politics, but I let it slide. This is way too much. No friend says anything like that.

Correct, no friend would say that. I don't think you should call her your friend anymore unless she apologizes.

From Rush -- a transcript of the Charlie Rose show, AFTER the election....

Ok, that's just a LITTLE freaky!

My roomie just got into it with an OS on Facebook. He told her she's going to go to hell since she opposes BO, whom he believes was prophecied in the Bible!!!! Come on!!!! :headache:

BWwwwaaaaaaa.........yeah, he might be prophesied about alright. :rotfl:

I won't know where in the parks I'll be working till I get down there. But I'll let you know as soon as I find out.:thumbsup2

Please do! We'll be there April 9th- April 18th, over Easter..........anyone else going to be there then?

Wow. I know everyone here is not a Christian, I guess, anyway... but for a Christian, that would be like the biggest and best compliment ever.

Yeah! I would LOVE for someone to say that about me.

If he was indeed prophesied in the Bible, we're not the ones going to hell for refusing to worship him. :rolleyes1

:rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm too scared to go on the rest of the CB. But I want to see what corndog wrote..

I don't think I have the courage to go out there......I want to know, but I'm a scaawdy cat. :worried:

Well, I have a tumor on my pituitary gland which is causing Cushing's Disease.

Oh, man, yes, I'll pray for you too. So glad they can do surgery...........can't come soon enough, I bet. Blessings, honugirl!

Another youtube from our favorite young black conservative -- a nice pep talk about how much our country is worth fighting for and strategies to come...

He was great!! Who is he? Fox needs to interview him. I agreed with everything he said. NO more sell outs! We want a TRUE conservative next time!

I hope that you can have your surgery soon!

OK, I knew it wouldn't be long until we hear from him again. 90% disagrees??? If he was preaching from the bible they would agree with him.

MILFORD, Conn. -- Barack Obama's former pastor, speaking Thursday at a forum about race and religion, criticized the media's coverage of a controversy that threatened to derail Obama's campaign and caused the president-elect to sever ties with his longtime spiritual leader.

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. said the media took videotaped clips out of context that showed him making anti-American statements from the pulpit of the Chicago church where Obama had worshipped for 20 years.

The videos, which included Wright thundering "God Damn America" from his pulpit, dominated cable television for weeks.

Wright, speaking to an audience of about 200 people at a Milford church, said he was trying to convey the anger and desire for vengeance that people felt following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. He said the media failed to explain that Wright was a proud Christian who was raised in a Christian home.

"Their intention was to use me as a weapon of mass destruction, to tear down that man's integrity," said Wright, former pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.

In a question-and-answer session with the audience, Wright said he didn't believe Obama shared opinions that were publicized on the video clips.

"Do you agree with everything your pastor says?" Wright asked. "Ninety percent of the people sitting in church don't agree with everything their pastor says. What I saw is not an index on what he did or does not believe."

Last spring's controversy was a stumbling block for Obama's campaign and prompted him to make an impassioned speech about faith and religion. Obama at first expressed support for Wright, saying that "I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother."

But six weeks later during a speech at the National Press Club, Wright offered eyebrow-raising opinions about the U.S. government, praised Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and hinted that Obama was distancing himself from the pastor for political expediency.

The next day, Obama said he was outraged and distanced himself from Wright.
God D______ America. He's angling to be front and center on Inauguration Day-

OMG:scared1: :scared1:

UBELIEVABLE!!! I don't wanna know who, don't know where. Cause if i do, I'm gonna go over and get myself in a whole lot of trouble.

If I remember correctly the Zygot stage lasts for about 5 minutes after conception and is long past b4 you need the stick:headache:

Oh, are you talking about the "fun & lighthearted" who's had or known someone who's had an abortion thread?

You are exactly right. I don’t know how many pro-choice women I’ve heard say “Well…. I wouldn’t do it but it’s a woman’s choice as it is her body.” (Well, if she wanted to ‘chose’ she could have either chosen to a) not do what needs to be done in order to create human life form b) take precautions against developing life form.)

The way they justify it is by dehumanizing the developing baby. If you start speaking about how far along the fetus has developed by the time most women figure out they’re pregnant and then how far along it is by the time they get around to actually having an abortion; they don’t want to hear that the fetus looks like a baby. They don’t want to hear it that the fetus has a fully formed four chamber heart. They don’t want to hear about how it has a brain. They don’t want you to humanize it – even though it is a human. Because then they have to acknowledge that they are taking away a baby’s right to live by aborting it.

My preacher was saying the other day how he was on this beach one time. I don’t know which beach or what state, but he was on a beach and noticed a fence. He was confused for why there were be a fence built on a beach so he walked over. A sign posted on the fence stated that no one was allowed to walk on that area of the beach as there were baby sea turtle eggs developing. He said there was a fine (I want to say something as crazy as $40,000) if you were caught walking in this area, destroying the developing sea turtle eggs. He pointed out that you are punished for killing developing sea turtles but you aren’t for killing developing human beings. As he said: what’s wrong is right and what’s right is wrong in our society.

Okay, I did bite and go into the SP/Africa thread - it was truly a marvel in the concept of comeuppance.

Bravo to corndog and TCPluto - masters!

Nice to come out of an SP-related thread with a smile on my face!

I'm going to have to check out this thread later to see corndog and TCPluto in action. I usually love to see them post out on the CB. :thumbsup2

If he was indeed prophesied in the Bible, we're not the ones going to hell for refusing to worship him. :rolleyes1

:scared: ::yes::

I know - part of me wants to right all the lies they are spewing but part of me also wants just let the vile things die [the threads that is - not the posters!]

Another reason why I simply go to my subscribed threads - nothing more. It's so not worth it.

There is no reasoning with them. They call Palin "unqualified" yet elected an equally "unqualified" person as POTUS. They call Palin stupid because an unnamed source has accused her of not knowing that Africa is a continent yet ignore that we have video of Obama twice not knowing how many states are in the United States. They tear Palin down and accuse her of being the reason McCain lost when in fact, she’s the one that helped him get as close as he did since she stirred up the conservative base. I’ve seen/read/heard conservative after conservative state this. I posted it on another thread last night in order to defend Palin and all I get was “Well, I’m a female and Palin turned me off and I didn’t vote for McCain b/c of her.’

I didn’t say “females” I said “conservatives” and you aren’t a conservative so you weren’t the Republican base I was speaking about. Yeah, there are Republican that aren’t all that conservative that wasn’t so keen on Palin but the right conservative Republicans that have been the strong Republican base for years wasn’t too thrilled with McCain and it wasn’t until Palin was brought in that real energy began to develop in the party.

*AN ELECTION THAT THE REPUBLICANS NEEDED TO LOSE — GOOD LUCK OBAMA*

By DICK MORRIS

Published on TheHill.com on November 5, 2008

If ever there was an election that was not worth winning, it was the contest of 2008. While it was hard-fought on both sides, had McCain won, it might have spelled the end of the Republican Party. As it is, the party is well-situated to come back in 2010 and in 2012, if it learns the lessons of this year.

Simply put, all hell is about to break loose in the markets and the economy. The mortgage crisis will likely be followed by defaults in credit card debt, student loans and car loans. We will probably be set for two years of zero growth, according to economists with whom I talk. And the federal efforts to protect the nation from the worst of the recession will probably lead to huge budget deficits and resulting inflation. We are in for stagflation that could last for years.

Had McCain won, he would be the latter-day Hoover, blamed for the disaster that unfolded on his watch. Now it is Obama’s problem. With the Republicans suffering a wipeout in congressional elections (although not as bad as they feared), the ball is now squarely in the Democratic court. Good luck!
If Obama raises taxes, the situation could get even worse. With a liberal Congress on his hands, he will be constrained to move to the left, if he needs any pushing. When Clinton was elected in 1992, the Democrats in control of Congress gave him a clear message: Either you govern within the four walls of the Democratic caucus or you won’t get our support. Crossing the aisle to get Republican votes, even including the GOP in negotiations, was a no-no for which the president would pay dearly if he transgressed.

The result was predictable. Moderate initiatives like welfare reform were scrapped, the Congress passed tax hikes and legislation became festooned with liberal amendments. Faced with the need to round up every last vote in the Senate and House Democratic caucuses, Clinton had no choice but to load up conservative bills like an anti-crime measure with liberal pork (like a provision for midnight basketball courts in urban areas) to get unanimous caucus backing.

Obama will have to move left to appease his caucus. He will become their hostage, and they his jailers.

This dynamic will produce extreme-left-wing governance, which the Republicans can blame for the continuation of the recession and for any worsening. The party will recover, fed by anger at Obama’s policies, and will emerge from this defeat stronger than ever.

But the Republicans must learn the lesson of MoveOn.org. Founded in the bleak days of the Clinton impeachment, MoveOn developed a grassroots Internet base. Building up its e-list of activists and contributors, MoveOn laid the basis for the incredible Internet appeal of the Obama campaign. At last count, Obama has 4.5 million donors, most online.

Conservatives cannot count on the Republican Party to fight their battles for them, and certainly cannot count on them to win. The right needs to develop cyber-roots conservative organizations to rival the power of groups like MoveOn.org. The stellar efforts of NewsMax.com and its ally, GOPtrust.com, illustrate the power of such efforts. Together, these groups raised $10 million for an independent expenditure on media in swing states featuring the Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s anti-American bombast.

And their efforts worked.

Virtually all the polls agreed that Obama would win 52-53 percent of the vote, but the surveys varied in the amount of undecideds they found. On Election Day, virtually every undecided voter went to McCain, and Obama’s final vote share was no more and no less than the 52-53 percent the surveys had predicted. This unanimity among undecided voters is attributable to the endgame of groups like GOPtrust.com and NewsMax.com.

These groups have to lead the way in running media to battle against the leftist legislation that will undoubtedly emanate from the Obama administration and the liberal Congress America has just elected. Then they can become the basis for a Republican resurgence, just as MoveOn.org was this year for the Democrats.[Quote/]

I absolutely think this is true. The bots will only be able to cover him for so long. Then with his tax on the 250000 and above???? You know people will lose their jobs. He may believe in welfare but business owners do not. You know when faced with a loss or paying more taxes they will let employees go.

Somehow, I don't think this is the CHANGE the OS is HOPING to see.
