Sweet! Sarah is a MySpace friend!!? That's kinda really cool.

Keep us posted on your upcoming surgery. I hope the episodes are few and far between especially if it interrupts horseback riding lessons! That is just wrong. What type of riding? I know we discussed horses once here before but don't recall.

And to be fair - on the Africa thread - TPCPluto also carried the torch. The OP slinked off to bed a while ago.

And I so did not see anything dirty about the frosting!:rotfl: It took me a moment but I was just thinking..."what is that?" "Ah it's frosting" Lacking imagination today I guess.

That's what I'm going to have to do because I'm so behind. I am studying to be an elementary teacher. I've been thinking about going into Special Education.

That was my degree, and I had my special ed licensure. I taught for 2 years, then had kids of my own, and ended up homeschooling them. :)

I know - part of me wants to right all the lies they are spewing but part of me also wants just let the vile things die [the threads that is - not the posters!]

Another reason why I simply go to my subscribed threads - nothing more. It's so not worth it.

I soooooo agree!

like I had today which causes sweating, dizziness, vomiting, and other nasty side effects. So I just haven't felt good at all today. The sad part was I had just started my horse riding lesson and had to get off and quit because I was so sick when the attack hit.

I'm so sorry you're going through all that. I will keep you in my prayers.

WOW!!!! Thank you for letting us know how to pray for you -- :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Thanks for the prayers! I really appreciate them.

Sweet! Sarah is a MySpace friend!!? That's kinda really cool.

If you PM me, I can give you the link to my myspace page and you can be my friend and then you can be Sarah's friend too! I'm also friends with Young Republicans United and the Republican Club. So there's a few safe havens for us conservatives on there. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Keep us posted on your upcoming surgery. I will definitely. When it's done, it will probably be done at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, so if there's any Texans that want to hang out, let me know! :cool1:

I hope the episodes are few and far between especially if it interrupts horseback riding lessons! That is just wrong.

Yeah, it is wrong. This is my 3rd episode in the last few weeks, so they are getting worse. :sad1: :sad1: :sad2: :sad2:

What type of riding? I know we discussed horses once here before but don't recall.

I'm riding hunt seat on the flat and going to be learning how to jump too. :dance3: :dance3: Ronald Reagan had it right when he said: "I've often said there's nothing better for the inside of a man than the outside of a horse". This is sooooo true!!!! Even on a bad day, my school horse makes me feel better. Kind of like y'all! :woohoo:

And I so did not see anything dirty about the frosting!:rotfl: It took me a moment but I was just thinking..."what is that?" "Ah it's frosting" Lacking imagination today I guess.

Um, I saw a body part...:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

I'm so sorry you're going through all that. I will keep you in my prayers.

Thanks for the prayers too! I really appreciate them. It's going to take time, but I'm going to fight to be OK again.

Wow. I hope you get your surgery soon.
Before hussein makes it easier for the government to kill you.

Thanks!

Now you know why I fear socialized medicine. I've seen how hard it is for Canadians with the same disease to get treatment. They pay out of pocket to come here for surgery...

I'm too scared to go on the rest of the CB. But I want to see what corndog wrote..

Okay, I did bite and go into the SP/Africa thread - it was truly a marvel in the concept of comeuppance.

Bravo to corndog and TCPluto - masters!

Nice to come out of an SP-related thread with a smile on my face!

Dessert, anyone??

Here's my contribution. I'm not so good with baking. I hope it tastes OK...

It's 3am here and I am up with a sick child. She is the biggest cat lover you'll ever meet so I let her see some of these cat pictures posted here. We laughed ourselves silly. The Mission Accomplished picture with the fat cat had us laughing so hard my stomach hurt and I had tears running down my face. She was roaring with laughter.

  I just love this thread

Thanks for all the laughs. It helped my feverish 11 year old feel better tonight.

I'd love to post more but by the time I get to the thread there is 50+ pages to go through. My replies seem so yesterday when they are only hours later

Sorry about your sick baby.

You all talk a lot.

Wow!! Had a migraine yesterday and somehow missed the jump to a whole new thread!! You all have been busy! :thumbsup2

I had to come and post what my teenager would call a post-election "face-palm" story. My hubby teaches at a local LIBERAL community college (he swears he's the lone conservative on campus). Yesterday one of his adult students asked if he voted, and then asked who he voted for. He told her, and then asked her the same questions. She replied that she'd voted for BO, and when dh asked why, she said, "Because he's all about change." :headache: Dh asked, "What kind of change?" and she spouted off the list of socialist programs he wants to implement. Dh then said, "And how do you think he's going to pay for those programs?" She said: "I don't know."

This then developed into a long discussion with her final comment being, "I voted for the wrong person."

I wonder how many other people are going to be coming to that abysmal conclusion over the next 4 years? :sad2:

OMG - 31 pages since last night!! I'm just now subscribing - how could I have missed so much? The thread always moves fast but this is crazy. I guess it shows how passionate we are. We need to keep that until 2012.:thumbsup2

OK, I knew it wouldn't be long until we hear from him again. 90% disagrees??? If he was preaching from the bible they would agree with him.

MILFORD, Conn. -- Barack Obama's former pastor, speaking Thursday at a forum about race and religion, criticized the media's coverage of a controversy that threatened to derail Obama's campaign and caused the president-elect to sever ties with his longtime spiritual leader.

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. said the media took videotaped clips out of context that showed him making anti-American statements from the pulpit of the Chicago church where Obama had worshipped for 20 years.

The videos, which included Wright thundering "God Damn America" from his pulpit, dominated cable television for weeks.

Wright, speaking to an audience of about 200 people at a Milford church, said he was trying to convey the anger and desire for vengeance that people felt following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. He said the media failed to explain that Wright was a proud Christian who was raised in a Christian home.

"Their intention was to use me as a weapon of mass destruction, to tear down that man's integrity," said Wright, former pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.

In a question-and-answer session with the audience, Wright said he didn't believe Obama shared opinions that were publicized on the video clips.

"Do you agree with everything your pastor says?" Wright asked. "Ninety percent of the people sitting in church don't agree with everything their pastor says. What I saw is not an index on what he did or does not believe."

Last spring's controversy was a stumbling block for Obama's campaign and prompted him to make an impassioned speech about faith and religion. Obama at first expressed support for Wright, saying that "I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother."

But six weeks later during a speech at the National Press Club, Wright offered eyebrow-raising opinions about the U.S. government, praised Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan and hinted that Obama was distancing himself from the pastor for political expediency.

The next day, Obama said he was outraged and distanced himself from Wright.

Chairman Meow,

Have much to say, but little to tell.
