~The BOT Battalion~ BOTS On The Run

Lou - Holy smokes :worship: :worship: Awesome job on the PR, especially considering it was such a masochistic course!! Hoping you're feeling fine today:goodvibes .

Howard - So sorry about your foot and the waste of time doc appt:mad: . Glad it's feeling somewhat better and hopefully the podiatrist will provide some words of wisdom. Thanks for posting Cam's link - the pics are great:thumbsup2

Mike - Sweet time on the 5K:yay: Bet you enjoyed the LSD miles all the more yesterday:)

Jodi - Not sure when the Adirondack Marathon came up but I've run it before. It's a really small race and the course is around Schroon Lake. 1st half is hilly and the second half (which the 1/2 marathon is run on) is a bit more tame. To answer Cindy's question, I'd say it's a solid 1.5 hours north of Albany.

Cindy - Sorry the 8 miles kind of sucked:sad2: and that the knees are bothering you. Don't sweat the upcoming 1/2 and just do what you can:goodvibes without injuring yourself!

Dave - Thanks for checking in and nice job on the double-digit run:banana: Have a great time with the family!

Colleen - Hoping the swim meet was a huge success:cool1: .

Okay, so are we still entertaining ideas for a fall marathonpopcorn:: ? I guess I've gotta actually read the thread:rolleyes1 . The TM did show up on Friday:laughing: so things are starting to look up:thumbsup2 The weather looks like spring will actually arrive before too long:dance3:

Hey Bots! Happy Monday (insert smilie dry-firing-pistol-to-head).

Sounds like everyone had a productive weekend, in their own way.

Lou - I understand last night was a bit rough. How do you feel today?

Howard - How's the foot, man?

Mike - I can't believe you're running marathon on Sat.:confused3 , that's just insane. Good luck & have fun!! I ran a 5k yesterday in Hartford. It was fun, crowded & I got dusted by a 9 y/o.:rotfl2: Hey, there was a free beer (real beer, not cat urine) & corned beef @ the finish, so how bad could it have been? My Garmin said I ran it in 26:31, I think, but THEY said I ran it in 26:47...I'll take my time ;) .

Cindy - Don't sweat that bad LR, seriously. Take it easy this week, it's all mental. Don't run too much or you will fatigue your brain, just ask Lou. He hardly trained @ all for Sunday's 1/2 (rigth, Lou?) & he blew the doors off it. Just relax & have fun  . I haven't signed up for the 1/2 yet, but am going to check out the course tomorrow a.m. when I go to my accupunture-guy, as it's out his way. We'll see?

Colleen - How was the swimming stuff?????popcorn::

Sara - Glad you finally got the treadmill, woman!!:yay:

Dave - Great job on that 10!!:thumbsup2 Way too hit those double digits (something I have yet to do since Disney :rolleyes1 ).

RED ALERT! RED ALERT WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP.

OK, FOR THOSE OF YOU HERE (MIKE) NOT ON FACEBOOK, THE PICTURE OF CINDY AS A BROWNIE RECEIVING AN AWARD OF SOME SORT IS WORTH THE PRICE OF ADMISSION ALONE. RUN - DON'T WALK, TO FACEBOOK.COM :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Awwww! Adorable.

Lou -- It was so great to see you Sunday and I am so happy for you that you did so well on that outrageously difficult course. I hope you and Louie were able to enjoy the Phantoms game on Sunday night -- I was so impressed with how HEALTHY you were walking out of my office; no limping in sight. :thumbsup2

I am missing you all terribly and I think you all MUST come to DE for the 1/2 marathon, marathon, or marathon relay on May 17. Would the promise of a lasagna carb load on May 16 at our house get me the BOTS fix I need? Just looking at the pictures of all of you from the Macaroni Grill gathering marathon weekend makes we want to coordinate another meet (since I missed that one).

Oh Cam, thanks so much for the invitation, but I don't think it will work for me. I'm scheduled to run either the half or full marathon in Pittsburgh (probably the half) on May 3rd, and then I'm running the Muddy Buddy on May 10th. I think DW would kill me if I said I was running another race on May 17th, but it would be great to see you guys again.

I just saw this post on my email subscription, so I'm popping in to tell Dave that the Pgh 1/2 and full are full as of yesterday! :scared1: I hope you got in under the wire, If not, they're accepting waitlist names, though. DOOD is upset, since his relay team hadn't gelled and they hadn't signed up. They thought they'd have more time. :sad2:

Really? Bummer! No, I hadn't registered. I was told by the rep at Philly that they wouldn't close the race this first year back. Crap, that stinks.

DK, I just noticed you can still register online for the relay. It's not full yet.

Okay, I just posted to Dave on FB, where I know many of you Bots frequent. But I just had to come over here and give a shout-out to Dave for all the Bots to see. Thanks to Dave, DOOD was able to register his relay team for the Pgh marathon. (Neither one of us had signed into our active.com accounts to notice the relay teams were still open.) THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. :worship:

It's just another example of the support I see on Wish every day, and of the particular coolness that is Dave and the Bots. It makes me want to do a race that features maximum Botness, so be sure to let me know how your fall marathon schedule works out, huh? :cheer2:

Hmmmmm, I don't know about the coolness factor, but I for one would love it if you joined us for our Fall marathon. Speaking of which, do you have an idea of one to run?

Sounds like we are narrowing down to the Richmond Marathon on November 14th. What's everyone thinking about that?

Looks like it would be a 9 hour drive from Rochester - which might make it better to fly than drive.

:rotfl: Ah, yeah Debra!:lmao:

I haven't been doing much running lately and have really maximized my Buttness!

Now that's funny!

Dave - I'm sorry that Pitts filled up on you, that sucks :headache: . I know you were looking forward to running that one. So does that mean you'll accept Cam's invite?popcorn::

Debra - If we could figure something out for the fall, by all means, please come join the Bots  !!

RICHMOND?? Really???? RICHMOND? Isn't that, like, the armpit of VA?

No suggestions on a fall marathon, but I'll tell DOOD y'all are thinking Richmond and check with his schedule. (He goes up for promotion next year, so his materials need to be filed in the fall. It will be HIS semester-that-shall-not-be-named.) I see Richmond's got a 1/2 and a full, so that would work out nicely for MY training. I could do either, depending on how ambitious I want to be with Goofy. :teeth:

Let me know what events the Bots decide on...

I have to say Richmond's not really grabbing me. I don't know why, but I don't feel that excited for it. I read the reviews on Marathon Guide, and they sounded OK. Not great, but OK.

If everyone else decides to run there, I'm in. I think it's good for me on the calendar. It's on a Saturday, so that's good. It's before Thanksgiving, so that's good. Can someone get me excited for it - besides the fact that you all will be there?
