Who is she? Where did she come from? Did she used to be on a sitcom or something?

I've recently started to catch her show in the morning when I'm puttering around doing other stuff and I really like her.. She can ad lib and tell funny stories off the top of her head like I've never heard before..

She's a comedian, she's been around for years. She's been in a lot of movies including Cars, Cheaper by the Dozen, Monsters Inc, Jerry McGuire, A Bug's Life, The Green Mile, Jumanji, Rain Man....etc etc

Jan (Tom Hanks' wife) in "The Green Mile"
Voice of Rosie in "A Bug's Life"

There were a few other things, but I've either never heard of them or haven't seen them.

She is pretty funny, though. I've seen the commercials for her talk show but haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

She was involved as both an actor and producer (I think) of one of my favorite movies - Return to Me. Any time it plays and I catch it on TV I stop whatever I'm doing and watch until the end. A great, great romantic comedy!!

She had a sitcom for awhile. I'm guessing it wasn't on too long though. She had a talk show, and at home she was married with a little boy, maybe more kids?

She was also in "Only You" with Marisa Tomei, its one of my favourite movies

I love Bonnie Hunt! She is so quick witted and isn't afraid to make fun of herself too. Being a fellow nurse isn't bad either.

C.Ann, you should try a couple of her movies. I vote for "Green Mile" and maybe "Cheaper by the Dozen" . That would give you both a serious movie and some fun. I love both Tom Hanks (GM) and Steve Martin (CBTD). Isn't it strange that both actors who play the parents in Cheaper don't have children? They do a pretty good job of pretending to.

Oh, I love that movie! It was one of those movies I expeted not to like and was so pleasantly surprised. Everyone should see it!
