I like how my ticker is at exactly 7 months for BWI. Of course, it will be even better when it's in the single digits;)
As of today my BWI ticker is at 7 months and 4 days away, so you will be getting there before I do. I also agree that once mine reaches single digits it will be even beter.

We will be staying at BWV April 11 - 19th. We've stayed over at BCV several times. We are very excited to be trying out BWV! We are in a Studio BW view. Any suggestions for us regarding room location, transportation, activities??

I can't give any advice about the BWV rooms since I have not stayed on that side.

However I can tell you that the Boardwalk does have walkways to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Plus if you want to save a minutes when walking to Hollywood Studios you can access the walkway by going through the Luna Park Pool.

Finally every night from 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM there are various entertainers that perfrom at random locations along the Boardwalk, so they are very fun to watch.

I can help a little. I happen to like the rooms that are over the brewery and farther. Of course that means a longer walk to the elevator, but that's up to you. The rooms closer to the elevator are usually going to lookout on the nighttime entertainment.

Lovey photos, thanks for sharing them with us. The more pics I see the more excited I am getting for my first stay at BWI in March.

These are from my iPhone archive, so I'm not sure how the quality will come out. These are from our Nov 2010 stay, BWI Deluxe Club Boardwalk View room. (this stay convinced us to buy DVC resale with BWV as our home.)

psac - love the photos - thanks! I'd really love to book the Deluxe room, BUT, we want to be on the CL floor AND face Epcot instead of the BW, so that precludes every single Deluxe room, right?

Well even if the view wasn't a factor you can still reserve the Deluxe Room and end up on the 4th floor section with the other Club Level rooms and the lounge. However you also know that's not a guarantee and one reason not to reserve them if you want to make sure you are on the 4th floor.

OK, so some Deluxe rooms are on the same floor as the lounge, but they ALL have a BW view? We just LOVE a lake or lagoon view, but I'm concerned about potential late-night noise from the BW. I've read that sometimes the BW has late-night partiers who have had too much to drink and they make quite a scene on the BW. Is this rare or a common thing at night on the BW? Or is the only noise you could really hear in your room from the entertainers who end at 10?

I've never stayed at BWI, so I appreciate anyone's thoughts on this:worship:

Yes that's correct about some of the Deluxe Rooms being located on the 4th floor with the lounge and they all come with the Boardwalk view no matter if you are on the 3rd or 4th floor.

As for any late night noise I can say that after 10:00 PM it's virtually quiet, so I have not heard of anyone who was drunk and etc.

Now in the two times I stayed in a Deluxe Room it was right over the Boardwalk Bakery and the entertainers don't usually perform in that area. Now there is at least 3 other Deluxe Rooms on the 3rd floor over Seashore Sweets and one on the 4th floor. Well sometimes the performers have done their shows in the area by there and Flying Fish.

WDWKOOK-One thing to note about the deluxe rooms on the 3rd floor is the balconies are bigger. I know KerryCM had originally pointed this out a long time ago. We stayed in the room right next to the stairs up to the 4th floor above Seashore Sweets. We actually liked it just as much if not better than being on the 4th floor. It was right next to the stairs up to the door for concierge access, right next to a little sitting room. The balcony was big enough for DD, her two friends, some cast member friends that stopped by to say hi, and DH and I. Quick trip down the hall to the laundry. The noise from the Boardwalk to us is not loud and it is to us part of the atmosphere. I like the horns from the boat and the music.:cloud9:

Hi KOOK! Stopping by to agree with CR Fan. I had the same concerns as you do regarding BWI before we stayed there last year. In August, we were in the room right above Flying Fish with the huge balcony. The entertainers were right outside our room and we overlooked the boat docks.

I loved this room - I think it might be my favorite at WDW so far, and I spent as much time out on that balcony as I could. (Our boys did a little sword fighting there, too - it was huge!) The close proximity to the water was wonderful - it's like a water view "plus" because it's so close. The Boardwalk was so quiet and peaceful in the morning - really peaceful. We spent a lot of time at the resort during that stay because we enjoyed the room and the lounge so much. And in the early evening, the entertainment was lively and fun, but not bothersome in the least. Later in the evening, my husband and I sat out on our balcony and it was very pleasant - not noisy at all. Also, since the lounge faces towards Epcot, we could watch Illuminations from the lounge balcony and the MK fireworks from our room balcony. We stayed at BWI pre-cruise, and it was really hard to leave BWI because we loved it so much!

I'm going to have a very tough time booking for next year - go deluxe to guarantee a boardwalk view, or go standard and try to request our spectacular room from 2011.

I've posted photos of this room/view/balcony before, so I'm sure everyone is tired of them - but let me know if more would be helpful!

Thank you for your comment. I love the boat horns, but I just don't want to hear drunks hootin' and hollerin' at all hours of the night. I even once saw a photo online that someone posted of a man passed out drunk at night on the Boardwalk. Ever since then, I ruled out the Deluxe room. I'm on vacation at WDW, not Key West:laughing:

I see that you arrive the day we transfer to WL. Are you booked in a Deluxe then?

Thanks so much for posting this! I didn't know you could see Wishes:thumbsup2. Would you mind telling me what made your STD room "spectacular"? Was it a CL room? IYHO, is there a BAD Deluxe room at BWI?

I'm going to go back and look for your Deluxe room photos now...

That stinks about the timing. Yes with DD's ball schedule with school, then travel volleyball, basketball, and softball, we have about 1 month we can squeeze in the family vacation. Her best friend that travels with us is in everything too. They are also doing a basketball camp at U of Iowa this summer. Hopefully we can still say hi.:wave2:

As far as the other, the cheering and things for the entertainers are as about as loud as it gets whenever we have been there. It is so relaxing if one of the evenings you just want to sit on your balcony with a drink and relax. Yes we are in a deluxe room again. Patiently waiting for August.......:rolleyes1
