Assuming there is no major sporting event I would always take the ESPN Club over Beaches & Cream and this is why. They have a much bigger menu, a lot more tables since it's a bigger restaurant, you can get their full menu until 11:30 PM, starters until 12:30 AM and the whole location is always open until 1:30 AM.

I am SO excited to be staying at BW in just a few short weeks! It will be our first time there. I've read through the last 20 pages here and still have 2 questions I hope someone can help me out with.

First, our reservation is for a 2 bedroom villa (which we've stayed at before in OKW) but this one says "lockout" or something...anyone know what that means? It also says unit 28U, but we couldn't possibly have our room assigned yet?? Perhaps that has something to do with the fact that we booked through RCI. We arrive on 1/22.

Second, and way more fun, looking for a dinner spot on arrival evening. We've got plenty of ADR's for the week so I'm looking for something we won't need one for as we don't know what time it will be exactly, not too expensive...already got those covered! Willing to walk to Swolphin, Y, BC, etc...

Thank you~

I think Beaches and Cream and ESPN Club are both good options for dinner. Sometimes the wait can be awhile at Beaches and Cream. Another thought would be in the Yacht Club, the Captain's Grill - we have never had a problem getting a table without and ADR........you can check the menus for all of the Epcot area restaurants at allears.net

The lockout is a studio and one bedroom together not a dedicated 2 bedroom..

AS for dinner, I am not sure, hopefully someone can help there.

Ah, thank you. I was nervous at first that there wouldn't be a washer/dryer in that case, but I see that 1 bedrooms do have them. Works for me!

We have also had luck with stopping into the Flying Fish for appetizers with no reservations, and sitting at the bar. My entire family of 5 has been able to do this several times if you want something other than typical "sports bar" food. Although, we also love both ESPN and Beaches and Cream, so you really can't go wrong wherever you go;) Just wanted to give you another potential option.

We head to Orlando on Friday and check on to BWI on Saturday...I am so excited. Thursday will be my Christmas Eve :cool1:

Hello. Wondering what the possible views are like from standard rooms? Anything to request in order to avoid a parking lot view. I am assuming requesting a high floor would be better as well. Is this true? TIA!!

When reserving just their Standard View you could end up with a view of the parking lot drive in by the main entrance or of their Garden/France Pavilion of Epcot. So if you want to avoid getting the parking lot then request a room with a view of the Garden/France Pavilion.

If Beaches & Cream has a long wait, The Fountain over at the Dolphin had no wait the night we ate there. It was pretty tasty.

I have wanted to try the Fountain - just never made it - glad to hear the positive review!

I was thinking about the Fountain too...mainly to get ourselves over to the Swan and Dolphin to look around as I don't know when we'll be able to stay in the Epcot area again.

We tried the Fountain on this past trip, and it was perfect for what we were in the mood for -- a decent burger and fries. The Stewart's root beer and orange cream sodas were good as well. It was better than the burger at Beaches and Cream, although B&C has the great Sundaes. (Although you could go back to Seashore Sweets at the BW for good ice cream.)

Neither burger is as good as some of the higher priced burgers in some of the table service locations (like Le Cellier), but they're good.

I like how my ticker is at exactly 7 months for BWI. Of course, it will be even better when it's in the single digits;)

Hope the New Year is off to a great start for everyone:goodvibes
