Well call me surprised that the Standard Rooms do have a daybed. When looking at the couch itself I thought there was no way it could fold out because of the bed being in the way, so I had no idea it was designed like that when you want to sleep in it. I thought it was designed where the bed comes out which is the type I had when staying at a Residence Inn earlier this month in Lexington, Kentucky.

of the seas: Thank you so much for that picture of the daybed! That would be perfect for my little boy & he'd probably think it's "cool". :thumbsup2

Here's a picture of the sofa folded down

The funny thing is that it took us 2 days to figure out that it even flipped out. 2 days of fighting in the queen bed for the kids and then all of a sudden peace! Great design by the way.

Just a heads up for those that are ever thinking about taking out food from the ESPN Club. They automatically add 18% gratuity onto your reciept when taking out, so at least you know this in advance.

You're kidding me right??? You're not paying for "service", you are just getting your food!!! This really bothers me. Thanks but no THANKS!

CR Resort Fan 4 Life, Thanks for answering my question about the DVD players and for the heads up about ESPN.

At least they are letting you get food for take-out now. A few years back, they were not allowing carry out orders, other than beers to go. You had to be physically be present in the restaurant, order, and then ask for it to be boxed after it served at your table. Apparently, the carry-out orders put the kitchen behind the patrons waiting inside the restaurant. :confused3

I know we were at Beach Club a number of years ago and the kids were swimming--it was late and my husband and I walked over to get take out which we were going to eat poolside. We were told that ESPN no longer did to go orders. Ultimately, we ended up dining very late at night after Stormalong closed.

Good to know that you can get take out again, even with a gratuity (which we would offset with Tables in Wonderland ;) ). The wings and appetizers are a nice poolside snack. :woohoo:

That is a good thing to know, I have eaten at ESPN twice and enjoyed their food but if getting back late to the resort and DH is hungry(when is he not hungry) nice to know there is the option of getting take out for the room, otherwise we be doing room service.

I personally think that their Chicken Wings are great and those are the best ones I had at any restaurant which sells them.

Last month when I was staying at the Boardwalk Inn there was two different nights when my Dad and I brought some food back to our room from the ESPN Club. One time we got their Macho Nachos For Two, which are a lot more filling then the Nachos with Cheese sold at Boardwalk To Go. So even with with paying the 18% gratuity it's still a better deal for what we get.

Then on our last night I took out the ESPN Dinger Sandwich and my Dad got their Philly Cheesesteak. Originally we thought about getting a Pizza from the Boardwalk Pizza Window however the line over there was way to long and thought we won't be eating at the ESPN Club until August 2012, so let's take out from there one last time.

We love them too! While they aren't the best wings we've ever had, they are tasty and HUGE! We used to enjoy the macho nachos, but over the past several years, they haven't been as "macho" as in the years before. We found the Cantina's nachos to be much more loaded than those at ESPN. The wings are our favorites. Years ago, they used to sell the wings by the bucket--there were so many of those big wings that we could barely finish them.

We'll be at Boardwalk during the last week of the Men's Basketball NCAA Tournament. I am so excited to go to ESPN and watch the Final Four and Finals game. We were just visiting the Boardwalk back in 2008 during the NCAA Tournament and I fell in love with the atmosphere and excitement there around the tournament.

It took us a few years but we are finally able to stay as a family at the Boardwalk. I just couldn't get enough of during my Annivesary trip in November when we were upgraded from the BWI to BWV. Plus an awesome memory is a girl we didn't even know had won a basketball at one of the carnival games and she gave it to while we were standing outside watching the game :goodvibes. Now it will would be even better if our team was playing. Go Bucky!! :woohoo:

I hope you have a great time. :thumbsup2

I am SO excited to be staying at BW in just a few short weeks! It will be our first time there. I've read through the last 20 pages here and still have 2 questions I hope someone can help me out with.

First, our reservation is for a 2 bedroom villa (which we've stayed at before in OKW) but this one says "lockout" or something...anyone know what that means? It also says unit 28U, but we couldn't possibly have our room assigned yet?? Perhaps that has something to do with the fact that we booked through RCI. We arrive on 1/22.

Second, and way more fun, looking for a dinner spot on arrival evening. We've got plenty of ADR's for the week so I'm looking for something we won't need one for as we don't know what time it will be exactly, not too expensive...already got those covered! Willing to walk to Swolphin, Y, BC, etc...

Thank you~

The lockout is a studio and one bedroom together not a dedicated 2 bedroom..

AS for dinner, I am not sure, hopefully someone can help there.

ESPN and Beaches and Cream both don't take ADRs, so one of those might be a good spot for your arrival day. We are going in June and will probably go to one of those restaurants on our arrival day.

I second the ESPN Club. It's a good place for dinner and the menu has a good variety.
