Does the BWI share an IPO like the Poly-WL and GF-CR, for example? Or does it have its own IPO like AKL?
Their IPO shares with the Yacht Club and Beach Club.

Also each time we got an e-mail from them it always said sent from the Yacht Club & Beach Club IPO in the subject liine, so don't be confused at first when you see that. For a quick second I said what and remembered how all three resorts share the same IPO.

Yes the Boardwalk has a lot more resort specific merchandise. I purchased a jacket, key chain and luggage tag. The only thing I couldn't get was a shirt because they only made them in Womens sizes.

Maybe by your next trip they will have mens shirts, will keep my fingers crossed for our March trip as a shirt is about all DH ever buys, sometimes a hat.
Thanks for the reply.

They did have a red button shirt that said Boardwalk and it was made for a man, so at least there is that and I didn't see any Boardwalk hats.

Did they have them in the big shop on th Boardwalk? When we were there in Nov, it seemed like they only had the Boardwalk labelled items in the small shop off the lobby.

Happy Holidays everyone!

Merry Christmas!

All the Boardwalk logo merchandise was being sold in Dundys' Sundroes which is their store located in the lobby just before the Villas elevators.

Have you ever wondered why the Innkeeper's Club Level lounge for the Boardwalk Inn is located on the 4th floor, along with the majority of their Club Level rooms and not on the 5th floor. Well I finally asked this question to one of their Club Level Cast Members and was told originally the Boardwalk Inn was not going to have Club Level rooms when it was being built, so it was a last minute decision to add them. That's also why they are not like the Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Yacht Club and Beach Club which all have their Club Level rooms/lounges on the top floors of their main buildings making them a secure floor accessed in the elevators with your Key To The World cards.

Thats interesting. I had been wondering about that myself.

Thank you for the review of CL you posted recently. So happy for you in being able to take advantage of the Bounceback offer :)

Hi everyone, I am not home just yet. Earlier this morning my family and I left the Boardwalk Inn and I am posting this from Cleveland, Tennessee at the Fairfield Inn & Suites I am staying at. Anyway here is my recent Boardwalk Inn Club Level review.

Boardwalk Inn

Just like my previous stays there I have to give thanks to the Boardwalk Inn Club Level Cast Members, who are simply amazing and the best set of people you will ever meet. Since we reserved a Standard Club Level Room we got room #4223 which was the exact same room we had in December 2010. The lounge was great and I loved the new food offerings. We also didn't have problems getting a table, although it helped being there when they would start serving the food offerings like at 5:00 PM.

Also one day I happened to be walking in the hallway and who do I see, Cat Cora who was there singing copies of her book at Kouzzina. Well she was very nice and I got to get a picture with her.

Theme Parks

Among the 4 parks Epcot is the one I went to the most, with a couple of visits to the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and the Animal Kingdom. Lines and crowds were not an issue since I got to them when they opened

Restaurants

Among the onsite restaurants I went 6X to the ESPN Club, 2X at Earl of Sandwich, Big River Grill & Brewing Works, Liberty Tree Tavern, Via Napoli and Le Cellier.

Next WDW Vacation

I am happy to say we got the Bounceback offer for August 2012 and made another Club Level reservation at the Boardwalk Inn from the 9th - 23rd in a Standard Room. The Deluxe Room was available however it was still $1700 more and we are happy with the Standard Room.
Nice to hear you had another great stay.

Did you try to go to Epcot at opening? Did they let you in for rope drop?

Maybe we'll see you again in August. We haven't made firm plans yet but I'm hoping for BWI CL in August. I'm heading to WDW for Marathon weekend so I hope to book a bounceback deal. I need to make May reservations too for my birthday trip. If I actually finish the 1/2 marathon I've committed to my friend to do the Disneyland 1/2 on Sept 2nd with her so we can get the coast to coast medal. Not sure how that would impacted a family trip to the World in August. Maybe we would think about a DL trip instead. Also not sure what I would do if my friend finishes the half and I don't (most likely to happen). I might have to book another trip to the world to try another half to get the coast to coast with her.

I went to Epcot one morning when they had AM Extra Magic Hour and noticed that around 5 minutes to 8:00 AM they had not opened the gates at the International Gateway. Well this time we asked one of the Disney Security Cast Members standing there and she said the guests at Future World are also let in at 8:00 AM like we would be. However myself and others mentioned they had a head start since they were closer to Future World and said that we should be let in ahead of them since we were farther away and the fact we were staying at Epcot Resorts.

It would also be great if I am able to see you again this August, so when you know for sure please let me know your dates.

I'm about 15 days from my first stay at BWI. It's going to be just DH and I this time and it is just a quick no kids stay.

We have a water view room ressie.

What room requests would you make?

Thanks for any info!

I just did our online check in, we are 10 days away from our Anniversary trip and first stay at BWI for 3 nights, then 4 nights at BWV.

Since you already reserved that specifc view I can't think of any requests to make, so I hope you have a great time.

I've recently upgraded to BWI from POR. I have reservations for our first night at the Spirit of Aloha dinner show at 8pm. Can someone help me out with the easiest way to get there and back is. I was thinking we could take a nice stroll to DHS and jump on a Poly bus, but getting back is what I am not sure about. TIA.

I would take a cab. It will cost somewhere between $15 and $20 after tip. It will be worth avoiding the hassle. The other option may be monorail or boat from Poly to MK, then MK bus back to BWI, but that only works if MK is still open after the SoA is over (or more specifically, if it's less than an hour after the MK close).

However, with a family of 5 (including a six year old), I don't know if you'll have issues with fitting in a cab or not having a car seat for the little one, etc. We've done a lot of resort to resort taxis for dinners, and have often gotten full sized vans that would fit 5 just fine, but other times have gotten just a regular car. I would still keep it as an option, though.

I agree that a Taxi will be worth it and the Boardwalk has a few of them just parked outside their main entrance if someone ever needs one.

I'll be there in one week! :cool1: Is it better to do the online check in? Or wait until I get there? I have a standard view room but did make a couple of requests. Not sure if that matters at all. Thanks!
