I'll be there in one week! :cool1: Is it better to do the online check in? Or wait until I get there? I have a standard view room but did make a couple of requests. Not sure if that matters at all. Thanks!
I have never done online check-in since I stay Club Level, however others have mentioned if you have requests it's best to not use it. This way it would easier for you to change rooms and etc if the one you were given using online check-in wasn't good enough.

I second this...

I hope you have a great time and doesn't your trip feel like it's almost there since you did online check-in?

Thank you and Yes, yes, yes, I feel like a little kid on Christmas Eve!

I have done online check in since it was made available (probably 10 trips)and have always gotten what I requested, some of my requests were medical so guaranteed, but I have also gotten my other requests as well on top of the guaranteed ones. They still have to do some checking in to activate the keys and if any changes need to be done it can be done quickly.

CL guests who do online check in are still escorted to the Club Level for the "personal touch" check in to get your KTW and to have a chance to ask questions, get the hours of the lounge, etc. I've always done online check in. The last time (earlier this month) I didn't get a king bed as requested but there's no guarantee ever that one will be available and, in the past, have gotten what our "wish list". I think the online check in allows the staff to plan for a more orderly arrival. At least, I guess that what I would hope:goodvibes

Lovesdumbo-I just read that you are going to be there during marathon weekend. We are checking in on Sunday. If you are still there make sure you stop and say hello again. Would love to chat again. Are you bringing the family?

Not sure just how accurate this info is but I did see posted on the POP thread I think ? that with the new computer system if you do online check-in it wipes out your requests and I have noticed quite a few DISers mention of late that they did online check-in and did not receive any of their requests. Could be just a coincidence but I do not plan on doing online check-in as my requests are important to me.

I don't know how accurate it is either. But what I do is online check in THEN I call in my requests. They can't do anything with your requests prior to that 10 day mark anyway. I've done it this way and received my exact requests every time (and I know that is lucky and doesn't always happen!)

Hi! I'm trying to pick a resort for my family's next vacation (Dec. 2012). BWI is at the top of my list. But, I do have 1 question: Do all of the standard view rooms look out towards Epcot?

Thank you!

Some of their Standard View Rooms will have a Garden/France Pavilion view, however others will be of the driveway that leads into the Boardwalk main entrance. So the best thing you can do is request the Garden view area and hope it works out.

Thanks for the input!

So, if I were to book a standard view, can I put in a request for france pavilion view? I know it's not guaranteed that I'll get it.

Also, do all of the rooms have daybeds in them or would that also be something I would need to request?

Yes you can make that request when reserving their Standard View.

As for a daybed I don't think their Standard Rooms come with them. The couch was set up in front of the bed which is next to the balcony doors, so there is no possible way for it fold out and etc.

Definitely good to know! :thumbsup2

Oh, okay. I was just curious & thought it would be nice if my DS had somewhere to sleep by himself instead of kicking me all night. But not a deal breaker if the room doesn't have a daybed.

Thanks for the info for online check-in. I'll skip it and just check in when I get there. Won't be long now! :goodvibes

One other question: Do all the rooms have DVD players or only certain ones like Club level? It's listed on WDW's site as a room amenity but doesn't say anything else. Thanks! :)

The couch in front of the bed is a day bed. It flips out on top of itself. My son loved sleeping on it away from his sister.

:thumbsup2 Here is the description from allears.net:

The rooms are well appointed with either 2 queen beds and a daybed, or a king-size bed and a daybed. An armoire houses the flat screen television and provides drawer space for your belongings. There is a small table with 1 chair, a spacious closet, a chest of drawers, and a private balcony or patio. The bathroom is great for more than one person trying to get ready in the morning. The toilet and bathtub are separate from the vanity area. The vanity has two sinks and plenty of counter room, and a full length mirror on the door.

So does the chair in the king rooms fold out then? There wasn't a couch in our room. If it matters though, we were on a corner with 2 balconies. :goodvibes

Getting so excited for my first stay at BWV :)....

While the temps in NE have been mild thus far, I cannot wait to get to FL and hopefully be able to wear flip-flops for a week

Thank you both for this info! When we were on the Dream this past May, our DS loved sleeping on the couch that turned into a little bed. So, I think this would be great for him.....and for me! Since there's only 3 of us in our family, everyone would have their own bed. :cloud9:
