Hi chimo2u! I just posted a message for you over on the POFQ thread, and I see you've switched resorts! We stayed BWI CL in August of this year and absolutely loved it. The CL staff is amazing and the lounge is very comfortable. Just wanted to let you know that I sent my room requests to IPO and they took care of everything. That's a great group of CMs in the BWI/BC/YC IPO! Our room requests changed a couple times as I learned more about BWI here and IPO was always very helpful. And when we arrived, they gave us one amazing room!

Thanks Pixarmom :goodvibes Yes, we changed....this deluxe cl gal just can't let go of what I KNOW!!! and LOVE!!! I am very excited to try BWI....I am interested, what type of room request did you end up asking for??? I am trying to decide whether being on 4th floor is best or not.....as I said I will be doing a lot of laundry on my trip (as I usually am by day 3, LOL)...and don't want a lot of extra walking.....prefer to be close to the lounge AND the laundry :) I am excited to be staying at the BWI...I am one who thinks that crazy :clown: Pool looks amazing!!!! it appeals to me more than SAB did :)
I feel very settled about my choice to stay at BWI :)

I would love a boardwalk view and I was thinking all of the deluxe rooms came with one, so thanks for confirming that. Are the deluxe rooms on the 3rd floor close to the stairs, making it easy to get to the lounge?
Yes the Deluxe Rooms on the 3rd floor were very close to the stairs that go to the 4th floor.

just spoke with a CM who is a very good friend who works up in the Innkeepers lounge. She said the lounge is NOT open 24hrs. The hours are 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. sharp!
Thanks for confirming that.

Thank you so much CRFFL and WDWKOOK for the photos and the input. The more I see, the more I like what I see. And thankfully, no "bedspreads" here either! ;) My mind is now at ease, BWI is definitely THE ONE for Anniversary #11! :cloud9:
You're welcome.

So happy for you!!! Please tell Jackie and Pete that their three pirates from last August say hello!
I sure will.

One week from today and I will be at my second home, BWI! So looking forward to going and spending time with all my grandchildren, oh and their parents too. I know the staff will make this trip "magical", as they always do. My oldest granddaughter will turn 9 on the 18th, Mickey's birthday, and can't wait to have a special day.
I hope you have another great time staying there.

I personally thought that SAB was very overated when I finally got to try it and realized how much more I enjoyed the Luna Park Clown Pool.

Now when I say overarted I thought the whole area was just to busy and I don't see what everyone enjoys about. I was happy to try it at least once in my life so I can say I went there, however I won't miss it.

That's what is keeping me from booking so far ahead (for December 2012). Since there are so few deluxe CL rooms, I'm sure Disney doesn't have much trouble booking them, which in turn would make it harder to book with a discount. A standard CL room would be ok as we are a family of 4, but every time I see a picture of a deluxe room, I think about all that extra space :cloud9:.

We are a family of 6 and wanted to stay at BW next Christmas, so we didnt want to risk the chance of lising out on a deluxe CL room, so we booked as soon as our 499 day window opened. Would it be nice to have a discount, yes, sure...but I know the chances are pretty slim with our dates.

Here is a link to a BWI Relaxed Yet spa coupon. One is for $50 off two services and one is for $15 off one service. It's good through the end of the year:

I haven't been able to find many photos of the Muscles and Bustles health club (love that name!). Is it more like the Olympiad at the CR with low ceilings and no windows or is it more like the VWL/WL, AKL, BC/YC, GF health clubs that have normal ceilings and windows in front of the cardio? Are there (ceiling) fans and are there plenty of treadmills or does it get really crowded in the early AM? I'd love to hear how it compares:listen:

Not sure if you already saw these pictures but here are two links with photos of the Muscles and Bustles health club.

I had seen the AllEars ones, but I don't think I had seen the wdwinfo photos, so thanks a bunch! Have you been in there? I forgot (obviously) to take a look when we visited and took a tour of the room.
You're welcome and I have been in there to look around and I actually thought it was bigger then the Olympiad health club.

That helps me compare them - thanks.
No problem.

Also on the Boardwalk information channel they list Muscles and Bustles as being open 24 hours a day. I know that others say that the Olympiad is also open 24 hours a day however I remember seeing their hours listed as being 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM, unless that recently changed. So not sure how much that will effect any future decisions you have of staying at the Boardwalk Inn.

We're definitely staying at BWI/CL next summer, but we were debating on whether to jog around Crescent Lake or use the treadmills. They seem to have the same Cybex machines and weights as the other gyms, so that's great, but I really dislike the Olympiad's treadmills because the ceiling is really low above them and there aren't any windows so it feels rather stuffy and small in there.

As far as the 24 hours, all the gyms are open 24 hours with keyed access, but the hours they post are the hours when there's an attendant on duty and the door in unlocked.

From CL, what is the best way to get to the gym?

Personally I haven't yet needed to work out at Muscles and Bustles because it's a lot easier to go jog around Crescent Lake.

As getting to Muscles and Bustles when staying on the Inn side all guests no matter if they are staying Club Level or not will take the elevator to the lobby, walk down the stairs next to The Belle Vue Lounge which take you out onto the Boardwalk. Then you will walk towards an opening on the other side where the Villas rooms are located and right there is Muscles and Bustles.

That's also the exact way you will walk towards the Luna Park Pool area which is also in the same area just after Muscles and Bustles and the short cut for getting to the Hollywood Studios walkway.

Is that near the convention building? We walked from DHS to BWI, so we must have walked right past it before we got to the lobby.

Less than a month until BWI for you:goodvibes

The convention building is on the Inn side. Muscles and Bustles and the Luna Park Pool is located on the Villas side once you step onto the Boardwalk

I can't believe it's less then a month and that means better start getting things ready in a couple of weeks.

OK, I looked on a resort map, and it seems M&B is next door to the Wyland Galleries which I took a picture of when we visited. Guess I just missed seeing it:confused3. Can you tell from this photo where it is?

Technically, you can also walk through the lobby to the BWV side and take the elevator down to the first floor and Muscles and Bustles is right there when you walk off the elevator. I know, that's the lazy way of doing it, but it is an option.

Thanks - I love options!

Putting it another way, the entrance to M&B was right behind you when you took the pic of that sign!
LOL, of course it was and we didn't even notice:upsidedow. Thank you for pointing that out:goodvibes

While we're (while I'm:rolleyes1) still on the fitness topic... Does anyone have experience with jogging to/from DHS in the early AM? I know the Crescent Lake path is popular, but haven't read much about guests also using the DHS-BWI path and then going around (and around...) CL.

I have seen a couple of guests jogging around the walkway path that goes towards Hollywood Studios during the mornings and afternoon and it's a much longer path then Crescent Lake to get around. Plus I have never seen it busy with a lot of guests using it for walking to Hollywood Studios and back, so those jogging always had a lot of room.
