I have a question regarding discounts on the Deluxe CL rooms. Since there aren't very many of these rooms (I think CR Fan posted there were 10), are discounts hard to come by, either AP, general public, or pins? Looking at possibly 5 nights in December 2012, with 3 of those nights at holiday rate. Not sure how much a discount would even help since it would be so close to Christmas, but you never know. The last pin I had went through 12/23 of this year, so I guess there's always hope. Also, are all the deluxe rooms close to the lounge? TIA :flower3:.

If you are making a reservation that is months away and a discount for your dates just came out you should have a better chance of getting a Deluxe Room. For example on January 1, 2011 we got the 35% room only discount for our August 2011 reservation at the Boardwalk Inn and got the Deluxe Room.

Also the 1st time we stayed in the Deluxe Room was in August 2010 and in May of that year we decided to extend our WDW vacation and try the Boardwalk Inn. It also just so happened to be that there was a room only discount available at that time and a Deluxe Room was available, so we were very lucky we got one only a couple of months before.

Finally some Deluxe Rooms are located on the 4th floor that are close to the lounge and their others are located on the 3rd floor, so we would need to take a set of stairs to the 4th floor. However I can say that it's very easy doing that if you got a room on the 3rd floor.

Thanks CRFFL, somehow I knew you'd come through. ;) Our tickers are loaded for the same day... :thumbsup2 Remember DH and I originally planned to stay at BWI the SAME time as you, but now my cousin is coming to town so we are going to stay with him in adjoining rooms at POP. And we've now moved BWI to our March anniversary trip.

My eeeeek-ometer :scared1: was on full blast after I realized that the rooms weren't at all what I remembered seeing once-upon-a-time and dreaming about for so long... But a refurb is ALL-GOOD and I am so glad I do see some whimsical features in the photos you've provided.

So CRFFL, were you pleased with the look of the rooms in person?
Yes I was very pleased with the look of their rooms when I saw them in person and there is not one bad thing I can say about the Boardwalk.

Well today marks one more month until I am back at the Boardwalk Inn for my next Club Level stay, so like my three previous ones I am very much looking forward to it and seeing all their great Club Level Cast Members.

Thanks......now to keep thinking positive that good discounts will come out for next year :goodvibes.

I love the new rooms. The Boardwalk is a beautiful resort and I think the rooms are much nicer than what they used to be, although I am only going by pictures I've seen since we haven't stayed there ;).

Just returned from our trip to BWV. We filled up at the Hess station before heading home and had a quick look for you . . . 24 pack Dasani water for $5.99. Hope you have a great trip for Marathon Weekend.
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this! I really appreciate it! :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if the walk between BWI and the Hess Station is pretty safe? Are there sidewalks, a crosswalk, etc? Or is the traffic light enough that it's not an issue? I won't have a car so I'll have to walk over for the water. Thanks!

No problem, glad I could help. There is sidewalk all the way from the front of the hotel down to Epcot Resorts Blvd Then after you cross Epcot Resorts Blvd you basically cross grass & then the parking lot of the Hess station. It can be busy at that intersection during certain times of day and there is no crosswalk or traffic light. If it is busy and you don't feel it is safe enough to cross you can follow the sidewalk around to the right and go up to the light at Buena Vista Dr, cross there and come to the Hess from the other side. It's longer but may be worth it if it is busy. Also I would recommend taking a small suitcase with wheels with you to put the water in. Its not bad if you are just walking (and would be good training for you ;)) but when you are carrying water back the walk will seem very long.

You're welcome and here is something else to remember. If someone reserves a Deluxe Room with the rack rate, Disney Dining Plan or Free Dining then that's one less room available if and when they come out with more room only discounts.

That's what is keeping me from booking so far ahead (for December 2012). Since there are so few deluxe CL rooms, I'm sure Disney doesn't have much trouble booking them, which in turn would make it harder to book with a discount. A standard CL room would be ok as we are a family of 4, but every time I see a picture of a deluxe room, I think about all that extra space :cloud9:.

Well the good news is they have a lot more Standard Club Level Rooms if you ever needed to reserve one of them.

Also besides the extra space with the Deluxe Room they also come with a guaranteed view of the Boardwalk and a 2nd TV in the sitting room section.

I would love a boardwalk view and I was thinking all of the deluxe rooms came with one, so thanks for confirming that. Are the deluxe rooms on the 3rd floor close to the stairs, making it easy to get to the lounge?

I just spoke with a CM who is a very good friend who works up in the Innkeepers lounge. She said the lounge is NOT open 24hrs. The hours are 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. sharp!

To confirm Nascargirl-spoke to another CM who is a good friend as well, and the lounge indeed still closes at 10pm. mickeynut1-We had a deluxe room on the 3rd floor this trip and actually preferred it because it was quieter and had a bigger balcony. We were right next to the stairwell and a sitting area, down the hall from the laundary so very convenient. One flight up took us right to the door and concierge lounge desk. Hoping for that room again next year!:cool1:

OOO, that room sounds like it would be perfect!! :) DARN, I already requested 4th floor, close to lounge on my reservation (I have a dlx room for October 2012).... I would love to be convenient to the Laundry! (with 2 teen boys, I am sure I'll be doing a lot of it before moving over to Hard Rock Hotel on Oct 4!) .....If that room is convenient to the lounge as well, then that's the best of both worlds! I hate calling CRO to make changes/notations...it is such a long process, I guess I'll wait unit I get my welcome letter from IPO and bring up my "wish list" then :rotfl:
I am very much looking forward to my first stay here, it is even worth the extra walking I know I will be doing staying in the Epcot Resort area....I will have to start a walking program to try and build my stamina/foot muscles up to handle the extra stress and hopefully ward off any plantar facitis flareups! oh, how my feet hurt at Disney, usually by the 2nd day I am hobbling around in pain...I would really like to avoid that this time!!!
Can't wait for my Board Walk Inn stay though!! :) :lovestruc

chimo2u-We like the 4th floor too it was just a nice change to be on the 3rd floor. Sometimes it gets busy on the 4th floor and this year we were right in a corner area right over Seashore Sweets so it was very quiet on the 3rd floor. Plus DD had two friends with her so the larger balcony was nice. Either way a Boardwalk view is awesome, a deluxe room is nice, and you will be happy!:thumbsup2

 Hi, MAGIC! I can add some photos to the two BWIF4L posted. We did a little resort recon on our last trip and asked to see a room at BWI.

Yes I was very pleased with the look of their rooms when I saw them in person and there is not one bad thing I can say about the Boardwalk.

Thank you so much CRFFL and WDWKOOK for the photos and the input. The more I see, the more I like what I see. And thankfully, no "bedspreads" here either! ;) My mind is now at ease, BWI is definitely THE ONE for Anniversary #11! :cloud9:

Hi chimo2u! I just posted a message for you over on the POFQ thread, and I see you've switched resorts! We stayed BWI CL in August of this year and absolutely loved it. The CL staff is amazing and the lounge is very comfortable. Just wanted to let you know that I sent my room requests to IPO and they took care of everything. That's a great group of CMs in the BWI/BC/YC IPO! Our room requests changed a couple times as I learned more about BWI here and IPO was always very helpful. And when we arrived, they gave us one amazing room!

Thanks :flower3:. Sounds like you had a great room. The BWI is looking more appealing every day......and it seems like the deluxe rooms can't be beat :goodvibes.

The more I see, the more I like what I see.

Me too.....I think the new rooms are beautiful :wizard:.

So happy for you!!! Please tell Jackie and Pete that their three pirates from last August say hello!

One week from today and I will be at my second home, BWI! So looking forward to going and spending time with all my grandchildren, oh and their parents too. I know the staff will make this trip "magical", as they always do. My oldest granddaughter will turn 9 on the 18th, Mickey's birthday, and can't wait to have a special day.
