Wow thought I would take a look at this thread since it keeps popping up, and oh how I miss the BW Inn Keepers Club!!

Is Jackie still there, she was such a great lady

I'm getting really excited to stay at BWV now that we're under 100 days!!

We'll be checking in 3 months from yesterday!

We'll be there the same time. We check in 3 months from Saturday (going to Universal first)! I can't wait. My daughters think I am planning too much.

We haven't stayed there since buying DVC but I will always have the best memories from our room above Seashore Sweets.

Do you have an annual pass? Have you tried getting the 40% discount with an AP on that room? You might want to run the numbers to see if it would be with purchasing an AP for the discount. You would get a $100 DVC discount on the AP. You don't need to have the AP in hand to book a room with that discount-you just need to have once there. So you could book with AP discount (if available) and then if a general public room only discount came out switch to that if that worked out better for you.

In any case....I think you'll LOVE the deluxe rooms at BWI. I have stayed in a standard CL room at BWI 3 times-love it! Last trip I was able to see a deluxe room-VERY nice!!!

If you want to make sure you can get a view of the Boardwalk then you have to reserve their Deluxe Club Level Room, because that's the only view which comes with those rooms.

With their Standard Club Level Rooms the view you will get is either going to be of the Boardwalk or Garden area, so if you wanted the Boardwalk view you need to request it.

Their other Club Level room categories is their Garden Suites that are located in a different section by the quiet pool which is pbviously on the Boardwalk Inn side. However the limit of guests in those rooms is 4 people and since they aren't located in the main building it's a far walk when going to the lounge.

As CRresortFan stated only the deluxe CL rooms guarantee the BW view. You can request a BW view with the standard CL rooms but there are more garden view stanadard CL rooms so you are probably more likely to not get the BW view than to get it with a standard CL room. The deluxe rooms and suites are on the BW view side so that leaves less space for standard rooms on that side of the building. I've been in both BW view and garden view standard CL rooms and the BW view is nice but the garden view is really nice too (as long as you don't get one of the few rooms behind the ESPN club). The garden view rooms (and the CL lounge since that is on that side too) have a view toward France in the Worldshowcase and you can see the higher elements of Illuminations from those rooms.

While you are correct that it's more likely to get a Garden view room since they have more Standard Club Level rooms on that side of the hallway, in December 2010 we reserved that room category and were lucky enough to get a Standard Room with the Boardwalk view. Now we had also requested the view prior to arriving and I am sure that helped, so there is always a chance that you might get it and we are proof that can happen.

Just called Disney. Was able to get the AP discount on one of the nights. No discount on Fri or Sat night, but got 40% off on Sunday. Saved me $300.

You know that your next trip to WDW is close when they send you that e-mail saying online check-in is now available for you to do and with some last minute reminders. Well today we got that e-mail, however since were staying Club Level at the Boardwalk Inn we are not planning to do online check-in.

Great an expert club review from you right before my trip. This will round out our club experiences at all the clubs at Disney. So excited to be back at BWI this time at Club!

Hi! We are staying at BWV next month. We've only stayed at POFQ in the past ---- soooo excited for BWV!! Anyway, can anyone tell me the order the buses pick up guests to go to MK or AK? For example, do the buses stop first at BC, then YC, etc.? We were spoiled at POFQ because it was (at least at the time) the first pick up location, then it went over to the many stops at POR. Any insight would be appreciated!!

they all have balconies, some smaller than others. The deluxe rooms are wonderful. I would request 4th floor.

Its been three years since our last BWI stay...can someone tell me the last time the resort and rooms were updated?

Also, is the BWI (not DVC) closer to the quiet pool and the BWV back by the clown pool?

The only time we stayed there we were in the back with a view of the quiet pool and the Eiffel Tower...I requested that area again but I didnt want to be placed at the far end of the resort, closer to HS

The rooms were renovated fairly recently, I want to say in the last 2-3 years, so it may have been right after your last trip. The new rooms are gorgeous!
