I just realized that there are TWO BWI FAQ threads :rolleyes1

We got back from WDW a couple of weeks ago, and while we were there, we stopped at the BWI and asked to see a room. I posted photos on the OTHER BWI thread, not realizing there are two threads:upsidedow

Here is the link to my photos of the room and grounds, POST #851:

BTW, I can't believe the first page is from '02 and hasn't been updated since '05 and the other thread has no resort info. on the first page:guilty:

Hi all! I know i posted this question in another thread, but i was wondering if the standard water view rooms were the same size as the standard concierge level rooms? Thanks so much!

Yes, they are. All the STD rooms are about 435 SF.

Staying at BW next Christmas...Deluxe Club Level room. I know all of those rooms are on floors 3 & 4...I know those particular rooms have a guaranteed boardwalk view...but my question...do they all have a balcony?

Cant find the info anywhere.

If I need to request it, can I do that online on my reservation? Do I need to call WDW? Or can I make that request with the IP people in my email? :confused3

Thanks!
4th floor is more convenient to the club lounge, but 3rd floor has slightly bigger balcony (look at a picture of the Boardwalk Bakery for a comparison). We've been very satisfied both times we stayed on the 3rd floor...

Also, is the BWI (not DVC) closer to the quiet pool and the BWV back by the clown pool?

The only time we stayed there we were in the back with a view of the quiet pool and the Eiffel Tower...I requested that area again but I didnt want to be placed at the far end of the resort, closer to HS

The Villas are the area around the Clown Pool. There is also a quiet pool on the Villas side. The Inn side is the side with the courtyards and another quiet pool. This quiet pool is in the area of the garden/cottage suites. If you stand on the Boardwalk and look at the resort it would be Villas on the right, Inn on the left.

The majority of rooms for the Inn are located within the courtyard area and wrapping around it toward the convention building. That would be south and toward the DHS end of the resort. The Villas are along the canal area and walkway to DHS.

While it is a little bit of a stroll from the farthest point of the Inn section to the Boardwalk, it is still no more than a couple of minutes. The hallway system is a bit intimidating, but nothing like YC or BC. :)

We will be at BI starting Nov 5th. :thumbsup2 and I have a few questions.

Is there room service and how many DDDP credits does it take? I'm not really interested in the pizza delivery.

I read that people ask for certain rooms or even upgrades. How do you do this? What rooms would be best if you want quiet?

How much do you tip housekeepers, bellhops and valet parkers?

Can we get bedrails for our kids or do we need to bring our own?

Does Boardwalk have back-up generators?

I'll probably have a lot more but these are highest in my mind right now. Thanks.

Right, but what I was trying to explain to Nicki was the BWI side still runs from Boardwalk toward DHS. It is simply the lay-out of the resort. If one were to walk from the Boardwalk side of the resort, through the parking lot you would end up at DHS. I think she was trying to avoid a room that was too far toward the DHS end of the resort. Or the end closest to the convention center on the Inn side. It really isn't all that far a stroll from those rooms, but it is much more convenient to be nearer the Boardwalk end.

I know it sounded confusing, but I would suspect she understood or will, what I said.

Hi Tess!

That is exactly what I was thinking....I so appreciate your explaination, it helped alot!

Now if the next 56 days would just fly by I would be all set :lmao:

Does anyone know the size of the junior bed in the standard inn rooms. We are 5 and one person is very small but not a child. Just wondering because i know they say they sleep 5 people. Thanks :)

Glad you understood the convoluted explanation--35 and counting here! So looking forward to it! :woohoo:

Our 21 y/o daughter slept on the day bed without a problem. It was easily the size of a twin bed. Other than the design, I think they are all pretty standard size at all the deluxe resorts. She found it very comfortable.

Thanks Tess!! Im so glad to here that. We are checking in Oct 2nd and the rest of our family will come on thursday. Someone will need to use the daybed so that is good news.

Just want to let everyone know that there is a laundry room down the hall, near the fitness room on the first floor. They have the front load LG machines. You can do the laundry while at the pool.

The Boardwalk Bakery has iced tea now!

First things I have to thank JJ, Jackie, Anita, Lorenzo, Linda, Janice, Tiffany, Scott, Pete and Joe for being the best Club Level Cast Members WDW has. They all make us feel right at home and I consider them my family.

We had reserved a Deluxe Room and our request to have it on the fourt floor was meet. We were in room #4225 which was right over the Boardwalk Bakery and had an amazing view.

Check-in was perfect and Pete personally came into our room which is where that process was done.

One thing that we happen to see on a rainy night was Brian the magician that always dresses in purple, coming into the lounge and doing his act up there.

Basically I have come to the conculsion that the Boardwalk Inn is now my favorite WDW Resort.
