If you made a regular DVC reservation through the Disney Reservation Center then you will get Housekeeping for everyday of your vacation.

The only thing I don't know what a "lock-off" is since I haven't stayed in a DVC Resort before.

Thank you!

A lock off two-bedroom villa is essentially a one-bedroom villa and a studio. It will have an adjoining door that connects the two parts, and they each have a doorway to the hallway. The studio portion will have a queen bed and a fold-out sofa bed, as well as a kitchenette (microwave, mini-frig, sink). The bathroom vanity is in the same space as the kitchenette. The one-bedroom portion has the full kitchen, as well as two bathrooms.

A dedicated two-bedroom villa has only one doorway to the hallway. The second bedroom (which is comparable to the studio space in a lock off) does not have the kitchenette or sofa; instead, there are two queen beds. In addition, the bathroom vanity is actually in the bathroom.

Thank you for the explanation. It makes much more sense now!:goodvibes

Does anyone have a link to a map of the Boardwalk with room numbers on it? We just switched to the Boardwalk for our next trip, and it's my husband's first time going with us, I just want to make sure I can put in a request for the best standard room possible.

We are considering the BWI and I was wondering if all rooms come with a daybed or if that's something that needs to be requested? We are currently booked at the Poly (which we love :lovestruc), but are thinking of possibly staying somewhere we've never stayed before (considering BWI or YC). The BWI is a pretty resort and it's always been a place I'd like to stay, but not having a CS comparable to Captain Cooks @ the Poly is what keeps me from booking another Epcot resort  (we've stayed at the BC before). But if there was a way to overcome that, the BWI has always been a resort I wanted to try :). Also, I was wondering if all the CL rooms face the boardwalk or are there other views? TIA :flower3:.

Ok, so looking at that map, do the rooms on the ESPN club end,( the ones in the teal-ish color, ) have a direct view of France? For a standard view that would be kind of neat to open up the balcony doors and see the Eiffel Tower.
You would actually need to request that type of view if you reserved their Standard View, because you could also end up looking at the parking lot based on the room category.

If you reserve their Standard Club Level Room your view will either be of the Eiffel Tower at the France Pavilion or the Boardwalk.

However if you reserved their Deluxe Club Level Room all those come with a view of the Boardwalk.

Ok Boardwalk peeps, next question. We are on the dining plan, where do we fill up our refillable mugs at? The Boardwalk Bakery?

You can get the mugs refilled at the Boardwalk Bakery, Boardwalk Pizza Window, Boardwalk Joes and Seashore Sweets. However each location is not a self serve station and the Cast Members at those locations can not physically refill the mugs for you. Instead you show them your mug and say what specifc drink you want, then they will give it to you in a paper cup and this is because of health reasons. Then it's your choice if you want to transfer the drink from the cup to your mug.

Ugh, so I guess the refillable mug at the Boardwalk is just more of a souvineer then, which I am ok with. Can you refill it in the continental breakfast area at the Belle Vue Lounge?

My next question then is are there coffee pots in the room, or do you have to request them from housekeeping?

According to the list from Allearsnet, the Belle Vue Lounge is not one of their locations where you can get refills with the mugs.

Is the Belle Vue lounge the one at the top of the internal, wide staircase behind Flying Fish? I'm asking because we took our mugs there a few times and they gave us coffee (in cups) and we transferred it to our mugs. I didn't even know it wasn't an official location, but we just asked one day and they said absolutely! :thumbsup2 They even gave us big cups of ice to put in our mugs first so we could make iced coffee :thumbsup2

Hi there. :) I'm helping a dear friend plan a trip to Disney in October and had a question about the International Gateway. On non-extra-magic-hour days, does the Gateway open at 9:00 or sooner? Will she and her family actually be worse off coming through the Gateway than coming in through the main entrance? I ask because she's eager to ride Soarin' and I worry about the lengthier walk from the Gateway and beating the rush! Thanks!!:thumbsup2

yes, that's Belle Vue.

You can get them filled there during the continental breakfast hours and at night when the lounge is open. I assume it's not listed because you can't get them filled there during the afternoon.

it's can be random. We been there when they opened the IG a few minutes earlier. We've also been there when it didn't open until 9 am exactly. I'm sure there is a reason for why it alternates, but it would be hard to know for sure.

If she really, really, wants to be sure to be at the head of the pack, she needs to go to the main gate. Having said that, she won't be *that far* behind everyone else if she hoofs it from the IG.

The entrance for the International Gateway should open at least a few minutes before 9:00 AM when they don't have AM Extra Magic Hour, because it's only fair to give guests staying at the Epcot Resorts a chance to walk up to that specifc area in Future World where everyone is held before Soarin opens and then starts walking to it.

If I was there when that entrance opened at 9:00 AM I would honestly complain to Guest Relations because it's not fair to the Epcot Resort guests that are paying good money to stay there and one of the perks is being close to Epcot. So shouldn't they at least be allowed in the same time as those who come in from the Future World entrance.
